As an orthodontist, I have the greatest job in the world: making people smile for a lifetime. I get to hang out with kids, teens, and adults I get to know each of them well, watch them grow, and see their confidence and self-esteem soar.

After dental school, Dr. Pappas was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force anda dentist. During his service with the Air Force, he completed a one-year advanced education general dentistry residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California. Dr. Pappas served three years as a general dentist in the United States Air Force before completing his orthodontic residency and Master of Science at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Pappas has a passion for learning. He consistently works to stay on the cutting edge of information, techniques, and materials used in the practice of orthodontics. He and his staff spend a great deal of their professional time perfecting their orthodontic skills and keeping current with the latest orthodontic innovations through continuing education programs and orthodontic seminars.
Dr. Pappas is also an American Board of Orthodontics board-certified orthodontist, which makeshim one of only a handful in the Hampton Roads area with that distinction. Board certification confirmsan orthodontists personal commitment to providing lifelong quality patient care. Fewer than 30% of orthodontists are board certified.
Dr. Pappas also enjoys giving back to the community through the Mission of Mercy projects, for whichhe has traveled to underserved areas of Virginia to providedental care, as well as to rural communities in Jamaica and Honduras.

From the beginning to the very end everyone has been extremely polite, professional, and just overall caring. They made me feel welcomed and comfortable with each visit. Dr. Pappas was always so pleasant and a joy to see. They explained everything they were doing in my mouth and made sure I understood before leaving. The atmosphere 10/10 I recommend for any and everyone. I love my teeth even more now!!!

We love Dr. Pappas and his office! He is very personable and takes the time to answer all your questions. All of the ladies working in the office are friendly and so patient with the kids. The office has such a welcoming feeling. Can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommend.

We really liked Pappas Orthodontics. The staff are very friendly, Dr Pappas is extremely personable and he did a GREAT job with our daughter. Her teeth look perfect! We appreciated the proximity to where we live (which is important when you're making the trip every 6-weeks).. The only drawback of this practice is that they have two offices and l, depending on the week, will be available in the office close to you 2 or 3 days a week. That means when there is an issue (broken wire) and you need to be seen right away, he might not be in the office closer to you so you have to travel for a quick fix.

Dr Pappas and his staff were very friendly and professional. My grandson was in town and had a problem with the wire on his braces. Dr Papps was willing to help him so he could enjoy his week at summer camp. Go to dentist is nightmare. But in Pappas Orthopedics is totally different. You won't believe it. it's feel like you're in family. Outstanding customer service from the front desk to the last provider. Right and appropriate new generation equipment. All will gives you 100% confident about your treatment.

Dr. Pappas and his entire staff are wonderful! All very friendly, professional and good at what they do. My youngest just started with braces and they put her at ease with the whole process. She got them put on the day before Thanksgiving and Dr. Pappas personally called to check in on her over Thanksgiving break. You don't see caring for your patients like that too much these days. He also made a new upper retainer for my older daughter when she cracked it in half recently. In and out in 30 min! They are great!!

Always a pleasant experience at Dr. Pappas' office. He is respectful of his patient's time and very attentive to their needs. He pays close attention to detail both within his practice but also with his community engagement. Dr. Pappas is very personable with his patients, remembering details of their lives and engaging with them. The staff are always most polite and kind as well - a wonderful cornerstone to the practice.

I'm an older guy that was looking to reset my teeth poor to doing additional dental repairs. Dr. Pappas went way out of his way to work with me and my insurance to straighten my smile. Now I can get the remaining work done and I should be good to go for another 30 years. Thanks Nic!
