Considering that each person at every stage of life deserves distinct and individual treatment, we have been able to form lifelong relationships with our treasured patients bringing masterful versatility to all of our treatment options. It was a big decision to make, but in 1994 Dr. Papo moved his dental practice from Queens to Rockland County which not only meant hed have to leave his already-established practice but it also meant that hed be starting a new dental practice from scratch.
After graduating from New York University College of Dentistry in 1980 and continuing his training at Long Island Jewish Hospital, Dr. Papo spent more than a decade growing his Queens dental practice, offering care and expertise to every patient. He formed lasting relationships with his patients in the Queens community, which made it even harder to leave when it was time for a new beginning.
But this new beginning was necessary for to him to be closer to his family to be able to do things like coach his daughters softball team and chaperone school trips. And while fresh starts are rarely easy, word of mouth from his loyal patients allowed Dr. Papo to grow and expand a truly service-oriented dental practice in Rockland County.
Dr. Papo consistently advances his services and standards to the next level. A founding member of the Hudson River Implant Study Club and the Nanuet Implant Study Club, he is also recognized by the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the New York Dental Foundation for his accomplishments in continuing education. As he develops and expands his expertise in the dental field, Dr. Papo also refines his philosophy about how excellent dentistry should be delivered.
Many of my patients first came to me in pain with little or zero past dental treatment. This was usually due to fear. I find kindness and patience and a good dose of laughter have helped my patients to overcome previous bad experiences. I am extremely proud that Ive been able to restore their mouths to beautiful and healthy ones!
Dr. Papo is inspired by his devoted, high-performing team (read on to meet each member!) and loves that his family has also served Papo Family Dentistry. His wife Susan works behind the scenes, and his daughters, Katie and Jenny, both helped during high school as a rite of passage. The only family member who hasnt joined the Papo Family Dentistry team is his furry pal Cody Papo he only speaks bark.
After earning her degree in dental surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Jessica Zaidman completed her residency in general dentistry at Morristown Memorial Hospital. A strong believer in continuing education, she stays active in various study clubs and dental organizations to refine her diagnostic and treatment skills and provide her patients with top quality dental care.
Dr. Zaidman has served the area for more than a decade and is a Rockland County native, living with her husband and their three children in New City. A dynamic member of the community, Dr. Zaidman volunteers to teach children in schools about oral health, as well as at the Special Olympics to perform dental screenings on athletes.
With 25 years of experience as a practicing dental hygienist, Denise has been perfecting her craft for many years. Accomplished in in all phases of dentistry including periodontics and orthodontics, her meticulous attention to detail and positive nature invites her patients to return to her for ongoing care. Denise graduated with her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1990, and she lives in Orange County with her husband and four sons.
For 30 years, Margie has practiced dental hygiene in all phases of dentistry, with an emphasis in periodontics and orthodontics. She is a member of the American Hygienist Association, and she graduated from the University of Bridgeport Fones School of Dental Hygiene in 1985, where she also served as Assistant Clinical Professor. Margie is a Bronx native, living in Rockland County with her husband, three children, and two adorable dogs. Passionate by nature, Margie loves sports, the New York Mets, and can often be found dancing in the front row of a Zumba class.
Lauras goal as Dr. Papos assistant is to help every patient feel like family. As a certified dental assistant for 25 years, Laura feels joy every time Dr. Papos patients are happy with the quality of care they receive. She loves helping others look and feel their best. A Bronx girl at heart, Laura is happily married with two adult children, a beautiful grandson, and two cats. She enjoys exploring and eating good food!
For more than 20 years, Jodi has been a certified dental assistant enjoying every minute. Jodi graduated with a certification in dental assisting in 1986 and is known for her special ability to help her patients feel comfortable and ease their worries. Originally from Staten Island, Jodi lives in Rockland County and loves spending time with her three children, experiencing live music, and cheering for her favorite sports teams (New York Rangers!) Youll often find her cooking and exploring the outdoors.
In her home country, the Dominican Republic, Kayla became a dentist before moving to the United States. She has since been serving in the dental field, currently as a dental assistant. Kayla enjoys meeting new people, helping others, and believes in greeting patients with a smile. Kayla especially loves working with children and making their first dental experience a positive one. Outside of the office youll find Kayla hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
With more than a decade in the dental field, Annie has been an asset to the team and a support to the patients of Papo Family Dentistry. Annie lives in New City with her husband and four children. When shes not at the office or at home with her family, she loves beach days, reading, and shopping for an occasional treat!
Alyssa has been a member of the Papo Family Dentistry team since she was a young teenager. Alyssa received her Bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo. She then continued her education at Fordham University receiving her Masters degree in Education. Alyssa enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with her family, including her two wonderful dogs.

Dr. Zaidman was wonderful!!! This was my first time in the office and I was so pleased. She explained everything thoroughly and was so caring. Everyone was so friendly, from the receptionists to the hygienists! I highly recommend this practice!

What an amazing office! It is so clean and the staff is so nice. I've seen all 3 hygienists and have had a great experience with each of them. Dr. Papo and Dr. Zaidman are so thorough and honest when it comes to your dental needs. My entire family comes here and we couldn't be happier.

I'm a new patient with them and I couldn't be happier! The staff is friendly and professional and Dr. Zaidman is wonderful! I needed some work done and I was nervous, she made me feel very comfortable and it was a painless procedure!! I've already set up my 3 kids for their next cleaning with Papo Family Dentistry! If you're looking for a new dentist, definitely give them a call!!

My first visit was outstanding! I'm an old pro with Dentists. This office runs like a well oiled machine. They slipped me in on short notice, followed all the Covid propocalls, clearly explained all options for my tooth issue, as well as the related costs for each. Dr. Papo (principle) dentist is a blast, you will like him. He fixed/saved my tooth in two days/two visits. Bottom line-----this office exceeded my wildest expectations! I found my new dentist! My wife is next on line----that says a lot!

I felt like part of the Papo Family Denistry Family from day one, but have been especially impressed by the care and concern given during the pandemic. The office is immaculate and I feel very comfortable, that every precaution is being taken to keep me free from COVID. Dr Papo and staff are professional, welcoming and warm and get my highest praises.

I visited Dr. Papo's office yesterday and have nothing, but good things to say about my experience. To start off, the place is immaculate and extremely clean and has welcoming vibe to it. All the staff that work there are very nice and explain everything you need to know beforehand. Dr. Papo is probably one of the nicest and funniest doctors I have ever met, he takes his time and does a great job with the care he provides. They are also taking all necessary precautions and going above and beyond during this time of COVID. Overall I would recommend him to anyone without a doubt. 5 Stars isn't enough!

I have been seeing Dr. Zaidman for a couple of years and it's always a pleasure! Everyone in the office is so nice, and extremely helpful and accommodating. They have a great system in place to remind people about their appointments and confirm them. I have seen both Dr. Zaidman and Dr. Papo and both of them are very gentle, thorough, and friendly. Incredibly nice people, and excellent dentists!

Very positive place all around. I never dread going to the dentist because I'm going here and everyone there works together to take care of my dental needs with expertise and consideration. Also appreciate the hours they work so my appointments are prompt and convenient.
