Dr. Powell and his family love all things Papillion! He and his wife, Alicia, have been Papillion residents since 2012 and have added two children, Ainsley and Graham to their family since. Having grown up in rural Nebraska, the Powells enjoy the small town feel and sense of community that Papillion offers. Some of their favorite local activities include attending the annual Papillion Days Festival, Winter Wonderland and swimming at the Papio Pool.
Dr. Powell is a dual trained specialist, having completed separate residencies in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at UNMC. His extensive training combined with having treated thousands of children from birth to adolescence makes Dr. Powell uniquely qualified to diagnose your childs orthodontic needs. He can tell you when early treatment is necessary and more importantly when it is not. This will help you achieve optimal results in the most efficient manner!

The dentist, Shawn Powell and his dental/office team did a fantastic job with fixing my sons braces and providing excellent customer service. Papillion Ortho is a top notch organization!

Choosing Papillion Orthodontics has been a great decision for our family. My husband required braces about a year ago and they estimated it would take two years for his treatment to be complete and he is almost done with it now. Staff are always happy and they try to fit you in quickly. The facilities are clean and organized. Overall we have had a great experience and can't wait until our children require braces as well to take them here!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! Our daughter started her braces here and had wonderful results. We had to move accross the country before her treatment was complete, and the office staff worked with our insurance company and the follow on Orthodontist to keep us right on track. 100% LOVE PAPILLION ORTHODONTICS!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Doctor Powell and his crew throughout my orthodontic adventure! They were always courteous, kind, and caring in every respect, as well as being extremely flexible with my tricky schedule! As I would come in for appointments, everybody would ask how I was doing and we would all just talk like old friends. And my little brother was never bored in the waiting room! I had the privilege of teaching him how to set up games on the Nintendo, and he has absolutely fallen in love with the original Supermario Brothers! I highly recommend Papillon Orthodontics; you will not find a better place for orthodontic treatment!

My daughter just go her braces off and her smile is beautiful! Dr Powell was amazing every step of the way. Scheduling was convenient and easy. The facility is very clean and modern ! I'm so happy we chose Papillion Orthodontics!

I chose Papillion Orthodontics because it was in a great area and I needed four canine teeth exposed. They have been helping me for a year now and I really love how friendly and fun everyone is. The treatment is working and my teeth are coming in quickly. I'm very happy that I chose Papillion Orthodontics and I definitely recommend Dr. Powell.

At this point in time, all we've done with Papillion Orthodontics was a consultation for my husband for Invisalign, but our experience has already been top notch. We saw 3 total places (Hawley and Summit dental were the others) and Papillion was the most friendly, thorough, and actually were also the most affordable by far ($1500+). Dr. Powell sat down and explained the details and the overall process and expected outcome. The office was clean and comfortable. They have a new X-ray machine that doesn't need protection for and is even safe for pregnant women. We look forward to our experience with them through this process!

I absolutely love Papillion Orthodontics! The staff is so friendly and Dr. Powell is amazing. They work with you on payments to meet your needs for financing as well, which is awesome! I've been wanting braces for so long and I always told myself that I would have straight teeth for my wedding and they're making it possible and I couldn't be happier. I'm so happy I chose them to help me on this journey to a better smile. You won't find a better place for Orthodontics, I promise!!

We loved Dr. Powell and crew! Truly they felt like a second family this last year. They are so supportive of the community as well and even helped my daughter with support for her own community service endeavors. Thanks to the great care she now has no more overbite or gap between her front teeth and she is very confident. They recommended what type/colors of braces would be best to minimize visibility and our daughter even placed 1st runner up to a National pageant title with her braces on! We will be back to them for sure for all our straightening need. Thanks to Papillion Orthodontics for all you do!

We are so glad we chose Papillion Orthodontics! Dr. Powell is so kind and professional. He takes the time to explain what's happening each visit and we never feel rushed in and out like other places. My daughter just got her braces off today and over the last two years each visit has been great. Everyone in the office made her feel welcome and comfortable! Such a wonderful group who genuinely cares about their patients. I can't say enough about Dr. Powell and his team! They truly are the best!

We switched from another orthodontist because the appointment times worked better for our family and the price for braces was MUCH cheaper than the other orthodontist office we originally visited quoted. They have helped us outside of office hours on more than one occasion. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVE Papillion Orthodontics and trust not only Dr. Powell, but the whole office with our families orthodontist needs. The office is so immaculate and beautiful. The office staff are knowledgeable and helpful! I have 4 daughters and I've worn braces myself, so we've experienced other orthodontist offices. Not all are equal. I feel like we really are treated individually and not just shuffled through. I can call and the office staff know me and my daughters and our family. My daughter is so excited for her straight smile and I love their reasonable prices and payment plans.
