Dr. Ross grew up in the rolling hills of rural west Tennessee, where he learned the value of hard work and determination. Raised on a farm, Dr. Ross always knew he wanted to work with his hands and help people at the same time. He attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated cum laude. It is there that he became interested in dentistry while majoring in neuroscience. He decided to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA, for dental school, where he graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Ross then joined the US Army Dental Corps in 2002, where he was one of three officers selected for residency training in Prosthodontics at Fort Gordon, GA. He completed his prosthodontics residency in 2006 and obtained his board certification from the American College of Prosthodontists in 2007. While on active duty, Dr. Ross was stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and at Fort Belvoir, VA, where he instituted computer-aided surgical implant guides for wounded warriors and service members who were in need of his specialized dental care. He was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2010-2011.He continues to serve his country in the US Army Reserves.
Dr. Ross is a board-certified prosthodontist* and a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists. He is the only Board Certified Prosthodontist in Central Virginia. He holds memberships in the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association. Dr. Ross and his loving wife, Lynn, have three handsome sons and a beautiful daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, working with computers, and attempting to follow college football (when the kids dont have the remote!). He enjoys traveling and keeping up with the latest developments in dental implant prosthodontics and guided dental implant surgery.
*What is a prosthodontist?A prosthodontist is a dental specialist who, after completing dental school, receives two to three years of advanced training in the restoration and replacement of teeth in a specialty program at a hospital or university. Prosthodontists have mastered procedures that involve crowns, bridges, veneers, partials, dentures, and dental implants.
Greg Wall graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1968, and from the Medical College of Virginia in 1972. He also completed an Army Dental Internship and two years of service before going into a general practice of dentistry in 1975. He returned for specialty training in prosthodontics and received a masters degree from Ohio State University in 1990. He then taught at Ohio State University for three years and was voted by the students as Instructor Of The Year for three years. Greg returned to Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1992, where his practice was limited to prosthodontics. He enjoys the challenges and frustrations of doing laboratory work. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (Fellow), the Carl O. Boucher Prosthodontic Conference (past president), the American College of Prosthodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Dental Association. His hobbies include tennis, fishing, and duck hunting.
My name is Luis Fouscas. I moved to Charlottesville in 2013. I have been employed with Pantops Prosthodontics since 2015. I attended dental school in Peru where I earned my bachelors degree in dentistry and dental laboratory. I am the happy husband of Evelyn Fouscas and father of a beautiful baby boy named David Fouscas. I enjoy riding bicycles, running, and playing drums when I am not caring for our patients. I also enjoy preparing meals with my wife in our free time.

EXCELLENT, best-possible knowledge, skill and care. Dr. Ben Ross is a jewel in advanced, prosthodontic dentistry. He is kind, friendly, highly skilled and educated. This was my second visit and I had complete confidence in him and his staff. They all made me feel very comfortable, listened well and had my care at the center of their practice. Having spent too many hours in dentists' chairs through the years because of bad teeth, I can confidently say that Dr. Ross is amazing. Did I mention gentle? I was also struck by how kind and supportive he was with his staff; that says so much about a business owner. And not only is he very skilled, he has also clearly invested in advanced technology, so essential for best diagnosis and treatment these days. Dr. Ross and Pantops Prosthodontics are the BEST!

I'm not easily impressed with the "jaw breakers" I've met over the years but Dr. Ben is a definite "pro from Dover" (all Mash references)! Seems to have all the latest equipment and all the latest knowledge. My problem was extremely sticky and he cut right through it (not figuratively!).

I took my mom to see Dr.Ross recently. My mom's denture was ill fitting and she was in constant pain. Dr. Ross spent 2 hours and fixed the problem. Today when she was eating pickles I remembered that for quite long time all she ate was cooked potatoes! I can't thank Dr. Ross and her staff enough. It was a great experience and staff was also very helpful.

Dr. Ross is an exceptional prosthodontist. He is working on fitting me with custom made abutments for implants. I have had both sides of my lower jaw reconstructed due to oral cancer. Dr. Ross is very meticulous and I feel completely at ease with him doing this work. Once the abutments are in, he will be making and fitting permanent teeth for me.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! Dr. Ross is brilliant and caring. I had been shuffled around from person to person and was feeling disheartened. Dr. Ross immediately identified what needed to be addressed and done and in one visit, problem solved and I was on my way. The entire staff was kind and professional. I immediately felt I was in the best of hands. My first contact was with Lynn to initiate my appointment. She made me feel comfortable and answered my many questions. I immediately knew I was in good hands. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Ross and to make him part of my health care team!

I haven't been to a dentist in 20 years and my teeth are in pretty bad shape. I had a bad experience with the dentist I went to as a kid and was scared and embarrassed to go anywhere due to the condition of my teeth now. I ended up having a tooth knocked out which forced me into finally finding help. And I couldn't be more happy with Dr. Ross and the rest of his staff here. They are all extremely nice and genuinely want to help in any way that they can. They took the time to sit and talk with me for a while and answered all my questions and I felt a lot better about my situation after talking with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

In October of 2019 my implants of 7 years rejected. I had since moved away from my original Prosthodontist and Dr. Ross came recommended to me to try. Over the last 2 years he has helped me through the process of dental care, surgery, and getting me two new dental implants. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience! Every team member I've interacted with has been so kind, caring, and genuine. Dr. Ross is incredibly skilled and cares deeply for the quality and care of his patients. I am so grateful to have found Pantops Prosthodontics. I have two gorgeous and quality implants that I know will last. I couldn't be more satisfied! Thank you to the team that makes this business stand out as a head above the rest in quality and care!

I have spent countless hours in a dental chair with all kinds of care and caregivers. I have to say that I went to this office with a lot of trepidation because I needed a lot of work done and I knew it would be time consuming and probably expensive. I had started the treatment plan in my daughter's office in Atlanta but COVID prevented my returning there. The minute I walked into this office I was treated with warmth and compassion plus professionalism. DR. Ross has worked with my daughter and kept her updated and listened to her input which is more than the general dentist I was see here ever did. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ross and his staff. If I have an issue and get in touch, I am seen that day and not rushed because they have worked me in. I would highly recommend this practice for the smallest to the biggest job. I am into my second year with him and have never questioned what he is doing or why. I have been very pleased with everything that has been done so far and even though COVID has made the procedures longer, I am happy I chose this practice. I admit that I have more problems than the average patient but the ability to handle them is very important to me and to my daughter. I have complete confidence in him and everybody I see there.

I have such a complicated situation with my teeth that none of the dentists where I live would go near me. After searching for the better part of a year, I found Dr Ross and the Pantops Prosthodontics staff. He has been able to address all of my dental needs and the results have been excellent. The entire staff is very professional, friendly, and caring. This is especially important to me as I have a lot of anxiety surrounding all dental procedures. I travel a good deal to be treated at Pantops Prosthodontics, but I would do it even if there was someone equally qualified nearer to me.

Dr. Ben Ross and His staff are at the top echelon of friendly service and they know their dentistry! I had my teeth cleaned yesterday by tina the hygienist and she is very caring and compassionate. Deana The office manager is a wealth of knowledge and has many years experience! Amber at the front desk will greet you with a smile. Amy, Dr Ross's lead assistant, has taught me most of what I know about dentistry and is an asset!
