Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is the best dentist we've ever been to. They're so patient with our littles and take the time to explain everything. Our daughter gets very nervous at doctor appointments and the staff help calm her nerves. Our son is very energetic and curious. The staff is very patient with him and let him feel the suction and polishing tools. Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is a 2.5 hour drive for us, but their caring staff makes it worth every mile.

They called the police on me after taking a power nap in their parking lot after my daughter's appointment before I had to travel again this was by far the worst experience of my life and very traumatic for me and my kids to be ambushed by police because I decided to take less than a 15 minute nap is astounding as a single parent and traveling way here to this facility for services be careful on the staff as a young black African American woman single mother I feel targeted

My sister brought her toddler and preschooler to this dentist office on May 14th, 2021, and the dentist they saw was a Mr. Patrick. My niece was to be treated at the Panama City Surgery Center to have caps put on her teeth. My sister said that the dentist treated her very rudely, was complaining about the election/politics during the visit, treated her in such a way that made her feel inferior as a human being, and did not perform a proper job on my nieces' teeth. When she voiced her experience about Mr. Patrick and attempted to reschedule a follow up appointment with a Different pediatric dentist, they denied her request, her concerns, and did not apologize to her. Instead, she was told that she could not request a different pediatric dentist, and that her children were No Longer Allowed at the practice anymore. Now, listen here... my sister is very friendly. She is also Very passive, and I have cautioned her against being so passive when it comes to her kids' health. But I, Auntie Paris, refuse to accept this behavior from, not just a dentist, but a Pediatric Dentist - who did not treat a Woman of Color, better yet, A HUMAN BEING, with the utmost respect, kindness, and professionalism. I could care less about your political beliefs. I could care less about your personal beliefs [In Private] toward a certain race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. But when it comes to my nieces, especially in a public yet personal environment like a medical office where they should feel their Safest, I DO NOT PLAY. You WILL Respect us as individuals. Your job is to help and be as amicable & professional as possible. We have been through ENOUGH MEDICAL DISCRIMINATION/MISTREATMENT, and now my niece is suffering as a result of your decision to decline her and her baby sister medical attention, as every pediatric dentist in our city has been booked for the entire year. My sister and I will be reporting to the Florida Department of Health, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. To all the POC, WOC, MOC, minorities, etc. out there, I encourage you to speak up, even if it makes you or them uncomfortable. I have no hate, ill will, ill wish, or anything towards any human being just because they are different, poorer, etc. or have beliefs other than my own (personally). But when it comes to your KIDS, do NOT let things like this slide. Report them, or at least try to. Everyone is deserving of respect, especially in a medical setting; it doesn't matter who you are. When it comes to your children, be vocal, especially if it means your child getting the proper care they need. Not sorry for the rant. If anyone from Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry has any questions or concerns, drop your email or phone number below or reach out to me or my sister. You know the drill. Be blessed.

Absolutely love Panhandle pediatric dentistry! I wish they would take my 12 and 13 year olds. The health department is not very kind with them. If there was another Panhandle office we would totally make the drive. Panhandle cares and has made my kids feel safe as well as unafraid of going to the dentist.

Reading all the good comments made me feel like I am the bad one in this movie but I totally disagree with most of them. Specially with the fact that they seem to be unreachable all the time. They never answer a phone call, you always have to leave a voice message and they return the call in the most "not right" moment. I am always working, I am always driving so I need to find the good moment to make a call and they are not there, they never answer. It seems more like they are doing favor to you instead of feeling honored that you choose them. Another nonsense thing that I think is stupid is the very not flexible reschedule policy they have. I totally understand the fact that if you lose certain appointments, you will no longer be accepted there but the reschedule should be more flexible, an accident, a not planned inconvenient, can be a good reason to make a last time call to reschedule and they say it has to be 24 hours prior you appointment, like if you can travel to the future to guess what is going to happen. They need to change that.

Edit: I wrote this immediately following the incident. Shortly after(or perhaps before I even finished typing) they managed to work something out with my wife to make sure my kid got in. Additionally, they reached out after the fact and apologized. Zero sense of accountability or professionalism from the staff. They do not return phone calls and voicemails, and will cancel your appointment without notifying you that they did so. We were informed that our dental is out of network(no big deal). My wife left two messages confirming we're still coming, and they still canceled the appointment. But the best part is that she found out after dragging both kids out of the house this morning to go to the appointment. They must think they have some kind of local monopoly and they can get away with treating people like this. They could have had 15+ years of business from us, but I'll drive my kids to another town rather than deal with people who can't function at the most basic levels of courtesy and professionalism.

We recently moved to the area and did not have a local dentist, so when my son broke a tooth eating ice, I was nervous about how soon he would be able to get it fixed. I called other dentists, and they would not see an "emergency" for an 11 year old. The only one who would was this pediatric dentist. They got us in within an hour. Dr. Berry was kind, capable, and efficient. The office staff is welcoming and helpful. It was my son's first experience with nitrous oxide, and he quite enjoyed it . I would highly recommend this dental practice.

My children have been going here since before their 23rd St location, when they were on 390. We have always LOVED this office and will continue to go here until my children outgrow it. The staff (regardless of position) is great with children and parents. Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is the best.
