Dr. William Ott was born and raised in Florida, having grown up in St. Petersburg. After graduating high school, Dr. Ott went on to attend St. Petersburg College before enrolling in the University of South Florida in Tampa to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Ott received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1997.
Six years later, while visiting northwest Florida, Dr. Ott decided to establish Panhandle Dental Care as one of Panama Citys leading dental offices. Hes now celebrating over 24 years in dentistry and has helped hundreds of patients lead happier healthier lives. Hes a proud member of the Bay County Dental Society, the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Ott enjoys learning about science and the applied science of dentistry. This passion drives him to pursue continuing education where hes able to learn about new technology and techniques to provide more diverse treatment options for all patients. Hes most happy when hes restoring smiles and relieving pain, all by using state-of-the-art dental materials and knowledge to conservatively preserve teeth while making them look beautiful.
We want to understand what our patients value and help them to achieve their individual goals. We are more thorough than most other practices in our examination process, information relay to our patients, and meticulousness of our work, Dr. Ott says. We work towards providing lasting, beautiful smiles, and we believe in early and minimal intervention to prevent future problems.
Amanda has been a part of Panhandle Dental Care for the last 8 years, with 13 total years being dedicated to the field of dentistry! She completed her education in Dental Assisting at the Gulf Coast Community College Dental Assisting Class of 2009 and maintains her Dental Assisting Certification, and then her Dental Hygiene studies at the Gulf Coast State College Dental Hygiene Class of 2013. In addition, she also earned a Local Anesthetic Certification from GCSC in 2016. As a CRDH, Amanda has some important responsibilities at the office. She helps prevent disease with regular prophylaxis cleanings, radiograph exposure and periodontal pocket measurements, and home-care instructions. She also educates her patients on perio disease and decay risks and provides them with a customized treatment plan. After the treatment plan, Amanda follows through with the treatment of Periodontal Disease. She loves the teamwork and friendships shes developed at Panhandle Dental Care and takes pride in her impact on her patients oral health. When shes not at the office, you can find Amanda caring for her nine chickens and dogs, anything outdoors, and raising three kids.
After completing her education at the Gulf Coast State College in 2015, Jennifer joined the Panhandle Dental Care team and received her Local Anesthetic Certification from the Gulf Coast State College in 2016. For the last 7 years, she has been helping her patients by developing their own personal treatment plans, as well as treating her patients who have Periodontal Disease. She also helps them prevent oral disease through proper cleaning and maintenance of any periodontal issues. She loves being able to show patients that going to the dentist isnt so bad! She also administers a local anesthetic to make her patients more comfortable during their dental procedures. Her fascination for teeth led her to this career, and she gets to use that fascination to help restore her patients oral health. Jennifer loves the team mentality of Panhandle Dental Care, and she sees her co-workers as an extended family. If shes not at the office, you can find Jennifer working out and weight lifting, or in the stands watching her two boys play baseball.
Sandra is a 30 year veteran of the dental industry, having completed her education at the Concorde Career Institute. She has been a staple of Panhandle Dental Care for the last 18 years. As the Business Administrator, she is responsible for scheduling all new patients, handling all insurance questions, coordinating each patients treatment plan, and presenting the financial arrangements. These responsibilities go hand in hand with her love and commitment to helping others and providing support for a great office to see great patients. Sandra finds the care and love that Panhandle Dental Care shows each patient that comes in makes the office stand out. If she wasnt working at the office, shed either be traveling and eating/cooking!

Love Dr Ott and all his staff. Honest and does not try to do unnecessary work. My son had a cavity filled and didn't complain of any pain at all. Super clean office. Definitely recommend them for the whole family!

The greeting I received upon entering a clean and comfortable waiting rnloom was pleasant and friendly. Not one of the false, forced greetings one sometimes receives. I arrived early to have time to do the new patient paperwork; it was all ready to complete the few pages. At my appointment time, I was called back to a clean room. The hygienist was friendly as she prepared me for the dentist. Dr. Ott (my Mother referred me) was friendly as he went over my medications. He explained what he was going to do before he performed the task. Upon leaving, his receptionist explained my estimated financial options. She referred me to another specialist before Dr. Ott could complete the two crowns I would need. My Mother always praised Dr. Ott for his and the workers happy and friendly atmosphere. My expectations upon actually using his skill set were exceeded. I highly recommend Dr. William Ott and his office personnel.

So pleased to give Dr. Ott and his staff 5 stars (they actually deserve more!) From the beginning of my appointment I was greeted by Sandra, who has a beautiful smile and is very friendly and inviting. The entire office is very clean and very well organized. Dr. Ott is very professional, nice, extremely thorough and makes you feel comfortable during his treatment. Jennifer was my Hygienist I cannot say enough good things about her! Light handed, very thorough, explained everything. Dr. Ott and his staff will make you feel like you have found your dental home. Highly recommend!

This office is very clean and state of the art equipment. Dr. Ott and staff were very knowledgeable and provided me with the best care and comfort I was used to before my move to Panama City. I had no pain and I was at ease during my teeth cleaning. The dental tech explained every step of the procedure. Dr. Ott showed me what the next procedure was in detail and provided me with a cost level and timetable I was very comfortable with.

I highly recommend this dentist. I recently moved here and before I could get a new dentist I chipped a tooth. They fit me in the next morning. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The dentist did exceptional work. He went above the call of duty and fixed a cosmetic problem that I addressed. So thankful to have found this place. I felt like the pricing was fair. Dr. Ott will be my new dentist.

Dr. Ott and his team are absolutely amazing!!! Happy I had been referred to his office years ago after relocating to the area from MI. Finding my "home" dentistry is important for myself and family. Everyone is always professional, kind, prompt, and they truly care about their patients. The cleanliness is on point too! Glad to have my "home" dentistry that I can truly look forward to going to! Dr. Ott, DMD and his staff are incredibly kind a professional. The office is extremely clean and every precaution taken towards the patient's protection and comfort. I'm especially impressed with the amount of interest taken in the questions asked. They are a very warm and compassionate group and I have no reservations about recommending them. I am so impressed with this place. Dr.Ott and the whole staff are incredibly thorough and professional. I honestly don't think my teeth have ever been this clean. Seriously. Thank you, Jennifer. What takes them from great to fantastic though, is how they treat you like a valued friend - even on your first visit.
