Dr. Alexandra Bassett has always been an artist at heart, earning a visual arts degree in college before deciding to become a dentist. An artists life is filled with long nights in the studio, and I am just too extroverted for that, she says. Dentistry is an opportunity to relate to everyone you meet, and thats a very special opportunity to me.
After college, Dr. Bassett attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and has completed hundreds of hours of supplementary education since she graduated. We truly live in the Golden Age of dentistry treatment is quicker, more precise, and less painful than its ever been. Providing the most efficient and affordable treatment has always been a priority for my patients, and having my own practice to offer this is a dream come true. But her driving goal, beyond being an accomplished and high-quality dentist, is to create a trusting relationship with each of her patients.
Dr. Bassett has always placed significance in helping others, as she spent a year after college as a Phoenix AmeriCorps Urban Fellow at a charter school in Chelsea, Massachusetts to help former high school dropouts earn their high school diplomas. In her free time, Dr. Bassett enjoys skiing, hiking, or spending time around a campfire.
Growing up with a mother who owned her own small business, Dr. Golnaz developed great respect and appreciation for what can come from being part of a small business community. Originally considering social work, she pivoted to dentistry because of her desire to not only give back to her community but to develop a long-lasting relationship with her patients.
Working at Paloma Dental has given Dr. Golnaz the freedom in practice that she was hoping for freedom of clinical decisions, high-quality dental materials and methods, cutting edge continuing education support, and the advantage of being in a two-doctor practice, which creates a supportive, multidimensional, and collaborative practice style.
Dr. Golnaz was born and raised in the Bay Area in Northern California, but one trip to Colorado and she knew it was the place for her. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, yoga, traveling, and cooking during her free time. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, the Colorado Dental Association, Metro Denver Dental Society, as well as the American Dental Association.
When Dr. Alexandra Bassett imagined her own dental office, she imagined a place where community flourished. As a place where everyone is cared for regardless of their interests, background, or story, the dental office is an ideal place to foster a sense of community in a neighborhood. One of the most important characteristic of any doctor, she believes, is a love for giving, helping others around you, and treating all with respect, gentleness, and kindness.
