Dr. Hoghooghi came highly recommended by a dentist my family trusts implicitly but after my fourth treatment, I would not recommend, especially to young patients who need more time to feel comfortable with a procedure. The office compromises on patient education and explanation and the team lacks any bedside manner. Approach is cold and impersonal and many of the comments from other patients regarding the front office ring true. Poor office culture as it feels like there's a lot of discontent within the team. Scheduling is overly complicated too. Poor experience all around.

The procedures themselves were very well performed and the doctors there are quite nice. But the staff and front desk are quite unprofessional, they were on it until the money for the procedure was paid and then they just stopped answering at all, there was not even a single email answered after the procedure. They also messed up the insurance claims, while they say that the claims are submitted out of courtesy, in reality none of my procedures was submitted automatically. It could have been 5 star review if there weren't so many bureaucracy issues after the procedure.

The doctor and staff were extremely accommodating to help me with a last-minute wisdom tooth problem on Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend. Dr. Hoghoogi was able to save my tooth and was calming throughout..

My son had an impacted wisdom tooth that was at risk for infection. We were referred to Dr. Hoghooghi by our dentist and he did a great job. Appointments were available quickly, COVID protocols were followed seriously, and the procedure itself was done very smoothly. My son had the usual swelling etc, but it was much less painful than we had feared - painkillers for just 3 days post surgery. We did have to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed by our insurance, and that part of it was more tooth pulling than the actual extraction :)

Good doctor. Surgery went well and he was kind. I was overcharged in billing and response to inquiry was delayed for some time and not very nice. They did not file with medical insurance, I had to file that myself. I called the reception a few days after my surgery to ask about some symptoms I was experiencing, and they were extremely dismissive.

Horrible front-office staff. Called to make arrangements for an autistic person who needed sedation to remove abscessed teeth. After speaking with Amanda and giving her all the details, she said she'll call back after discussing the case with the doctor. Despite a follow-up call and two voice messages, she never called back with any results.

Dr. Hoghooghi and his staff are FANTASTIC. I needed a very complicated surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, and the staff got me in the office for a consultation ASAP and scheduled my surgery for the soonest day possible (I was in a lot of pain). The doctor is very serious and professional, he walked me through everything that he was going to do and I got out of there very quickly with absolutely no pain. He brought me in for several follow ups to make sure my extractions healed well, and he was patient and kind with me. He was reassuring, too. Office is sparkling clean, receptionists are friendly and accommodating, overall experience was great! Hopefully I don't have any more dental problems, but if I do, this is my go-to doctor!

I met Dr. Hoghooghi last May, as an emergency patient who he managed to fit in to an already crowded day. The dentist I'd seen earlier (see my review for Dr. Notario) had explained that my tooth needed to be pulled immediately. If I waited until after the 3 day weekend, there was a very good chance of infection setting in. Dr. Hoghooghi agreed and fit me in. He was fabulous, even though I was falling apart. I'd been coordinating an event for over a year -and it was taking place the next day! - I was a mess! He and his staff were all very patient and gentle, and although it took a lot more time, and they were extremely busy, he managed to get me started with an implant and mold a temporary tooth so that I wouldn't have to run my event with a huge gap in my smile. I was in his office 4 1/2 hours and was able to listen to both Dr. and staff as they dealt with their scheduled patients as well as several emergencies the Fri. afternoon before Memorial weekend - they were all hustling, but stayed kind and professional and caring. Although I was very upset at my situation, I felt lucky to have ended up in their care. The follow up care couldn't have been better, they sent me off with a care package, easy written instructions (as I was a mess and unlikely to remember them) they called in the prescription so it was ready when I got to the pharmacy, and subsequent visits have been quick, on time, and easy. I've had no complications, and although I still have a couple of weeks to go until the procedure will be complete, I'm confidant all will be well.
