Dr. Palmquist is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high quality dental care with personal attention. His passion for dentistry has created a practice that caters to those wanting the highest level of comfort and care.
Dr. Palmquist is a general dentist with a very diverse skillset from his education and training. He developed the Palmquist Dental clinic to provide family dentistry as well as more specialized services. Some of these services include dental implant placement and restoration, Watertown wisdom teeth removal, and in-office IV sedation dentistry.He also performs hospital dentistry at the local surgical center and regional hospital for individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities.
Dr. Palmquist grew up on his family's farm in Northeast South Dakota. He and his wife, Jennifer, are proud parents to four childrenAvery, Ella, Hudson and Brody. In his spare time, Dr. Palmquist enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching his children in their sporting activities.
Dr. Palmquist graduated from South Dakota State University with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. In 2006, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska.
While he practices all aspects of dentistry, he is one of the few general dentists in the area that does most dental surgeries in-house, including dental implant placement and restoration, full mouth extractions with immediate denture placement, and wisdom teeth removal.
While in dental school, Dr. Palmquist did numerous hours of volunteer dentistry, received several scholarships and placed in the top 5% of the Central Regional Dental Testing Service Examination. He also maintains a memberships in:

As someone with extreme dental fear from previous experience, I cannot recommend Palmquist Dental enough. I have been a patient with them for a couple of years now and for the first time in my adult life, I love my smile. They will walk you through your dental needs to get the smile you love. My dental insurance isn't the best, and they go out of their way to make sure I get the the best coverage possible from them. The staff are probably my favorite, so kind and welcoming, and we couldn't ask for a better family dentist than Collin.

Collin and staff are as good as they come. You will not find any better. They are friendly and helpful and above all do great dental work. We are fortunate to have them all in our town.

I forgot the 4:00 appointment for 2/22/21 and received a phone call at 4:06. I rushed over and they graciously took me even 15 minutes late.

Extremely rude and snarky receptionist! I do not recommend.! My son has been seen by Lake Area pediatric and they sent a refferel to Palmquest 6 mos ago. I have called several times and have heard nothing back. Today I stopped in I and after standing there for 5 mins waiting for her to bring up my son's name, she told they were not taking any new clients. I said ok, I will have them send the refferel to my dentist. She smiled and said "would you?!" As I was leaving the office, She yelled after me.. in a snarky tone. "Thank you!" While I was standing there I tried to tell her that I called and heard nothing back. She asked me when I last called I told her I talked to a man last week. She argued with me and said. Well we don't have any men who work here and Dr Palmquest would never talk to you, cus we where not here last week. You called the wrong number." I said no, I talked to a man and he said the lady had just stepped out...". I am not sure what happened to respect, but this lady does not have any!

I called and explained my situation and I was worked in the same day! I was very happy with the treatment I received and would highly recommend this team!! No wonder they are busy and are unable to take new patients.

Dr. Palmquist and staff are wonderful. I live out of town and they were able to not only get me in for a cleaning, but also fix a tooth that needed some work the same day so that I didn't have to travel again. Friendly faces, great service and patient-centered. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
