First and foremost, we believe our responsibility extends beyond just healthy smiles with a focus on early care and extended care building lifelong relationships with our patients. Our team has been providing incomparable orthodontic care in the Long Island area for over 30 years.
We continually strive to motivate and educate our patients in a caring manner so that they understand the full benefits of orthodontics and realize the importance of a shared commitment between the patient, parent and our staff.
Our staff consists of team members with specialized training in both traditional braces and Invisalign, as well as years of experience treating patients with the highest level of care. We stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Dr. Palmieri graduated cum laude from Williams College in Massachusetts and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After obtaining his dental degree, he spent 3 years as a Lieutenant in the United States Dental Navy Corps. Upon completion of his service, he continued his post graduate education and he received a Certificate in Orthodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, New York State Society of Orthodontists, New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society. Dr. Palmierihas held various leadership positions throughout his career, including being a past President of the Nassau County Dental Society, and a member of its Executive Board, Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Public & Professional Relations Committee. In addition, he has previously served as Chair of the Childrens Dental Health Month on state and local levels for 10 years. Dr. Palmieriis also a past President of the Orthodontic Alumni Society of Columbia University.
He is dedicated to supporting the Long Island Community where he was born and raised. In addition to organizing an annual food drive to benefit Long Island Cares - the Harry Chapin Food Bank, Palmieri Orthodontics is a proud supporter of the Oceanside Middle School Marching Band, Rockville Centre Little League/Basketball, Leggz Dance Studio, South Side Middle School Robotics Club, 5 Star Gymnastics Academy, St. Agnes Parish, ASPCA, Canine Companions and many others.

This place is like a sweatshop. Soo many patients and not enough assistance. Dr. Palmeri is a nut job, sorry for my language but I've been behind the scenes and it's not right. He's made his money since 1982, and nothing more for his Ortho patients or his staff. Terrible!

Dr.Palmieri's staff is caring, friendly, and thorough. My visits are always smooth and I know I'm always in good hands. As an adult, the braces experience can be quite scary and embarrassing but Dr Palmieri care and professionalism put a lot of my fears to rest so I can feel better about my smile.

Dr. Palmieri and the staff at Palmieri Orthodontics are nothing short of AMAZING. They are knowledgeable, caring and attentive. I decided to return to Dr. Palmieri for a second round of braces as I had lost my retainers in college. They welcomed me back with open arms and ensured that I felt as an integral member in my orthodontic treatment. Dr. Palmieri brings with him a form of wisdom and care that is often not seen in medical providers. He tailors the treatment plan to your specific needs/wants and is often very willing to fix a broken bracket, change the color of a rubber band etc. There are no words to express my gratitude to him, Joan and Gail. Although I may not see Dr. Palmieri and the staff as often as I used to, I will never forget them! Thank you for my beautiful smile Dr. Palmieri!!

Phenomenal Staff! I was recommended to Palmieri Orthodontics for Invisalign and I must say that I was not disappointed. Like everyone I hate going to the dentist for any reason. Dr. Palmieri and staff (Mona and Joan) made this experience super easy and absolutely painless. Mona is Amazing! Excellent team, I would highly recommend Dr. Palmieri and staff for all your Orthodontic needs.

The staff is rude! I sensed hostility! I brought my daughter to receive Invisalign-- I waited weeks to receive her trays and I never got a call or update. Finally I called after two months and then I was told they were never even sent! They are extremely unprofessional and explained that they have a system and it was another party's fault. Dr. Palmieri made a rude remark, almost as if he was annoyed at me--but it wasn't him waiting weeks for trays. Avoid unless you want to be disappointed!!!
