What is Prosthodontics? Prosthodontics is the dental speciality pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and / or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. Prosthodontics is one of nine specialities recognized by the American Dental Association.
Dr. Jason Minton grew up in Greer, SC and graduated from Riverside High School. He majored in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech and worked as an engineer for six years in Augusta, GA before deciding to make a career change and attend dental school. At Georgia Regents University, he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Following graduation, he completed a 3-year Prosthodontics residency to further develop his expertise in complex restorative cases. During his residency, he studied under Dr. Gerard Chiche, one of the premier lecturers in esthetic dentistry. Dr. Minton is married to Dr. Katie Minton, a pediatrician at Parkside Pediatrics. They have two beautiful young daughters who demand an active lifestyle. They are very excited to move back to Greenville and be close to both of their families. When not treating patients, Dr. Minton enjoys flat-water kayaking, smoking meat and spending time with his family.

Dr. Minton is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), the American Dental Association (ADA), the South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), the Greenville County Dental Society (GCDS), and the Spartanburg County Dental Society (SCDS). He participates in the Spear Study Club and the Seattle Study Club. He also volunteers at the Greenville Free Medical Clinic.

Had work on both my bottom sets of teeth fix because of botched dental work from past dentist. Dr Minton and his staff was exceptional. Thank you so much for taking on such a difficult endeavor, but they came out great.

My experience Linda Harton has been a most pleasant one with amazing results. The expertise of Dr Minton is truly amazing. His staff is well qualified , being efficient as Well as great people skills Dr Minton takes great pride in his work and it shows in outstanding results. He treats his Patients as Well as his staff With respect. Stays with you ,explains as he works and makes sure the patient understands. Not enough praise for Dr Minton and his staff and I have beautiful teeth.

Doctor Minton and Donna and all of the staff at Palmetto Prosthodontics are fantastic! I was pretty embarrassed at the state of my teeth when I was referred to him. He reassured me and made sure I felt comfortable and was informed throughout the process. I highly recommend Palmetto Prosthodontics.

I highly recommend Palmetto Prostodontics. Dr Minton and his staff did an excellent job. I am very happy with the work that was done. I appreciated the personal care that I received at each visit. Dr Minton even took the time to communicate with my Prostodontist from NY to learn about my dental and medical history. I received my treatment plan on the day of my consultation. I knew what the cost was and time frame up front. Everything went exactly as planned The team at Palmetto Prostodontics even took the time to work with my insurance company. Everyone there was kind , professional and experienced. The office is clean and up to date I am very pleases with this office and thankful that I have an excellent Prostodontist here in SC.

I mistakenly arrived for an appointment on a Wednesday at the proper time, but not even close to the proper week/day. Rather than send me away, I had a wonderful visit, was educated on the proper function of the different teeth types, and came away with an understanding of and a plan to correct my issues going forward. Thanks so much for shifting around for me, you didn't have to do that, but I'm grateful you did. I dare suggest I'm looking forward to my next appointment!

I have CLL & needed a specialist for a cleaning & checkup. My dentist referred me to Dr Minton. Cancer treatment had caused jawbone loss which called for an oral surgeon to extract an implant. Dr Minton's office referred me to an oral surgeon. This surgeon was unprofessional & uncaring. He extracted the implant & left untreated infection which can compromise months of chemo according to my oncologist. I call back & ask Alex for a referral to a different oral surgeon. She tells me I chose the oral surgeon. I call my dentist to verify and no, he referred me to Dr Minton, not Dr Simmons. Alex then calls Simmons office & his receptionist calls me, asking me to call Alex back. This takes privacy to personal level because they talk all the time according to Alex. While Dr Minton might be a very good dentist ,who wants an office worker who is not going to respect you as a patient begging for help?

Dr. Minton and his staff are fabulous!! They are friendly, personable and professional. Dr. Minton knows what he is doing and his staff is so helpful. Dr. Minton needs another plaque by DMD that says, SBAD-- Super BadAss Dentist

Well I'm very glad I found this Prosthodontics, that's what was my problem I kept going to a dentist who attempted to give me dentures. What I learned was I needed a prosthodontics. The The dentist made three attempts with three sets of dentures they're not cheap! Jason A. Minton DMD @ PalmettoPros.com did it right the first time! The fit is so natural, once i put them in it's like they melt away in my mouth! Now after several years I can finally eat just about anything I want. I couldn't do that before with the other three sets of dentures. Minton knows what he's doing, his staff is wonderful. My wife needs some dental work done, guess where she's going. Take it from me, I've been to three different dental practices two of them were out of state. I wish I had found Dr. Minton first in my Journey as I wasted a lot of time and money with other people. This is the place to go to.

After several dentists tried to complete a delicate and difficult procedure, I was referred to Dr. Minton, as a last resort. Not only did Dr. Minton successfully address my problem, he completed the task quickly and confidently. He and his assistant had a comforting, capable manner as they worked together seamlessly. The receptionist was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. Hats off to Dr. Minton, Donna, and Alex for solving my complex dental problem and providing excellent patient care.

Dr. Minton turned my dental nightmare into a lovely dream. His dental assistants Whitley and Alex are so warm and welcoming. The office is so clean and comfortable. Dr. Minton is not only well educated and experienced in his field but listens, I mean really listens and addressed all my issues. I am so happy now. I am so glad I found Palmetto Prosthodontics. I have now found my forever dentist.
