We are very proud of our professional state-of-the-art office and equipment. We feature Intraoral imaging that can be viewed by the patient on one of our TV screens. Using the Solea Laser we can complete most fillings without a needle or a drill. We can complete a crown in just one visit with our CEREC. Whitening is also available in just one office visit with our Zoom! or Sinsational Smile Whitening Systems. Palmetto Family Dentistry also replaces amalgam fillings with tooth colored composite fillings.

Hi, Im Dr. Wimer and I am a proud long-term resident of Summerville. I graduated from Summerville High School in 1994, at which time I began attending Georgia Southern University. After earning my Bachelors of Science degree I continued on to receive my Doctorate from the Medical College of Georgia. Upon graduating from dental school, I returned to my hometown to start my practice.
While building the practice I was an associate of Dr. Allen Web located in Bamberg, SC and during which time I began employment with Smiles for a Lifetime (http://www.welvista.org/smiles.php). Smiles for a Lifetime is a division of Welvista, a non -profit organization dedicated to providing dentistry to children in underserved areas. I am very excited to say that I continue my employment with Smiles for a Lifetime each week.
A lot has changed since I opened my practice here in Summerville. I have a wonderful wife, 2 amazing kids and 2 fantastic dogs. But no matter what changes, my love for Summerville and the Charleston area will never falter.
Hi, Im Brooke and I am a native to Summerville, SC. I graduated from Trident Technical College with my Associates in Arts and a Paralegal Degree. I have been working with Palmetto Family Dentistry since 2014.
My favorite thing about my job is helping people obtain self-confidence and being able to afford a perfect smile. When I am not at work I enjoy cooking, traveling, binging Netflix, and watching my kids play sports. My husbands name is Kell and he works for Dorchester County, I have two boys, Kade and Wynn. I also have a pup named, Birdie.
Hi, Im Corey and I am originally from Williamston, SC but I have lived in Summerville, SC since I was 7 years old. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University with my bachelors in biology. I have been working with Palmetto Family Dentistry since 2020.
The most rewarding part of my job so far has been learning the ins and outs of dentistry. I have worked in both General Dentistry and Endodontics and I find every part of the dental field extremely fascinating. When I am not at work I enjoy boating, traveling, trying new restaurants, taking my dogs Bryson and Boone to the Dog Park and hanging out with friends & family.

My experience with the Dental Assistant this afternoon was excellent. She explained everything clearly, was very considerate about any concern I might have. A good visit.

Lady who answered the phone was rude. Anyone who starts a conversation with a new patient and says "unfortunately" as her first words has no interest in your business. Because they are "booked" Instead of shutting out someone because you're booked until February at least hear them ask a full question. unfortunately I probably would have waited based on the great reviews but nevermind. On to the next.

Dr. Wilmer and his staff are wonderful. I had chipped my tooth right before I was leaving for vacation. He fit me in during a busy day and fixed me right up. I was so impressed I am now a regular patient. Would recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Have been going to Dr. Wimer for years and love him. My recent appointment was the best experience I've had in his office. I went in for dental work on 6/29/22 and I was with his assistant, MK and she was fabulous! I was there for almost three hours and she made my time there so pleasant. She was very personable, professional, and just fun to be around. She has an infectious laugh and upbeat personality that makes you love being around her! Thanks MK for taking such good care of me. You made my not so fun appointment a million times better!!! I appreciate you!

Had to have a old filling removed and redone. In and out in 30 minutes. Easy process, was kept informed of each step and what would happen. Great experience and best dentist office I have been to!

I find Dr. Wimer to be very professional and up to date on dental hygiene care. It was very relaxing while the dental hygienist, Katie, cleaned my teeth and done with no pain. Dr Wimer also examined me and was very professional and personable. I highly recommend him and his staff. Tom Diamond

Beautiful new facility. Staff is welcoming and pleasure to interact with. Dr.Wimer is master of the art. Diligent, conservative with your teeth, and gives you an honest opinion. After years of being out-of-network and other dentists, I still come back for opinions and minor work- that's how good they are! This is "for life" dentistry, strongly recommend!

I have never had a more thorough dental exam and cleaning. I am very impressed with the office taking extra steps to insure the best possible dental hygiene. Everyone was very friendly as well!

This was the most pleasant experience I've ever had at the dentist. Granted, it's been a good few years, but the minute you walk in, you can feel the homeliness of the place. The front desk staff are very friendly, it's beautifully decorated for the holidays. And Katie and Dr. Wimer who both worked on my teeth, were so incredibly pleasant and easy to talk with. They took their time, made great conversation, and just made me feel so comfortable and at home. They radiate compassion and empathy. As a brand new patient, never been there before, I guarantee you, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I can now actually say that I look forward to going back to my dentist!
