My husband has been a patient of Dr. Smith for several years and always spoke highly of her. I had a dental emergency earlier this year, and Dr. Smith was able to see me immediately. I have since been going to her and have been super impressed with her and her team. She is now my dentist too, and I couldn't be happier with her.

Dr. Smith is an excellent and honest dentist. She is a respectable and kind dentist who actually cares about her patients. It's always a joy to come to the office. If you ever have any questions or concerns, the office is always willing to listen and try to assist you wherever possible. I do recommend.

My wife went for routine cleaning and check-up as a new patient. She was told by Dr. Larysa Smith that she had periodontal gum disease requiring deep cleaning and more frequent dental visits. Since our insurance would only cover a small portion, She declined and told them She just wanted a regular cleaning. They refused to do regular cleaning unless she paid for the more expensive deep cleaning. After going to another dentist she was told she doesn't have periodontal gum disease and had a regular cleaning done. STAY AWAY from this office.

If you can find nowadays the right dentist consider yourself lucky. I found one. Dr. Larisa Smith is your 100% luck. Knowledgeable, hard worker, problem solver, compassionate. If I may "God touch". And office manager Debra is on your side. They are like a family to me and ...my whole family.

I have been debating posting this for years and decided with the most recent news on my tooth, that it is time to warn others. I saw Dr. Smith years ago for check-ups, cleanings, and clear correct treatment. I'll start by saying that Dr. Smith is very personable so when she recommended a procedure, I was quick to agree. Though I was not in any tooth pain, Dr. Smith informed me that my fillings on my molars needed to be replaced. She recommended a crown on one tooth and an in-lay on the other. She noted that I would not need a root canal and these options would help preserve my teeth. The in-lay did not cause and problems. The crown, however, cause excruciating pain. This eventually led to a root canal, which led to even more pain. After the root canal, I had to wait for the final crown to return. When it returned, it did not fit properly. We had to send it back to the lab more than once before I was informed it fit. The crown still bothered me and she had to file it down (she said it was too high) quite a few more times before I could tolerate. The pain stayed, but was more tolerable with time---it never dissipated. About a year or so later, we moved to another state. I develop a fistula and was sent to an endodontist. This endodontist informed me that we would have to watch the tooth very closely. He showed me, as it was visible in the x-ray that the crown still did not fit and was very prone to infections due to an opening between the crown and the tooth. Again, this was VERY visible and should not have been missed. Also in the x-rays there was something present UNDER the tooth---he noted that he could not be sure, but it was either a part of the tooth, a file left after falling off during the procedure or extra filling leaked from the tooth. In any case, Dr. Smith had broken through the end of the tooth. The endodontist let me know that regardless of what occurred during the procedure, Dr. Smith likely knew what had happened. I was encouraged to communicate with her at that time and ask for my money back or her to fix it, but chose not to because I no longer trusted her. The fistula resolved with treatment and I decided to keep the tooth, though the option to remove it was brought up because it was also noted that my tooth was experiencing reabsorption, likely as a result of the trauma during the procedure and/or whatever was left in my mouth after ther procedure. At a most recent dentist appointment, I was encouraged to see the endodontist again because my tooth is "failing" more now and the reabsorption has the potential to create the need for a bone graft in the future. Every day since the procedure, my tooth has bothered me. This is especially concerning, given my tooth never bothered me before this procedure. I spent a lot of money on the crown and in-lay, as I was told it would last. This has prevented me from being able to afford a new crown. My only option at this point to stop the pain per my dentist will be to remove the tooth. I'm only in my 30s so losing a molar feels awful and it is especially sad because I don't know, in retrospect, if I needed this treatment. Dr. Smith had noted more than once that I had "the best insurance" and I wonder if she was simply trying to bring in more income. I guess I'll never know if that is true. What I do know is now I'm stuck with this and have been in pain for years. I'll likely have to spend thousands on an implant or a bridge in the near future. I'll also add on a separate note that I was not 100% satisfied with the clear correct results. I did tell her that back then and she noted it was a huge improvement. That was true, but still not what I was promised. I'll end with saying that I really did like and trust Dr. Smith. I think that is why I took so long to write this. However, the more time that has passed, the more I have realized just how wrong this all went. I'm sharing my story here so others will know and consider getting a second opinion, if and when Dr. Smith recommends a procedure that feels excessive. Please seek guidance elsewhere.

Dr Larysa Smith is a wonderful dentist. She fixed my teeth absolutely painless and with a great esthetic result. It's been 3 years already and I had no pain or discomfort in my mouth. She also taking care of my son and mother. All of us couldn't be happier! She is great with crowns, fillings, root canals and dental implants. Everything done painlessly, precisely with no delays and a great price. I am not afraid of dentist anymore. The extraction of wisdom tooth she did for me was so quick and painless that I couldn't believe that it's over. Her assistants are also very professional and caring. I am very happy that we found Palmetto Dentist and Dr Larysa Smith!
