Charles A. Luxenberg, MD is an Eye Physician and Surgeon with over 37 years of experience in private practice at the Palm Harbor Eye and Laser Center. Dr. Luxenberg went to a liberal arts college in upstate New York and graduated Suma Cum Laude. He then went to medical school in New York City for four years followed by a one year medical internship, also in New York. Dr. Luxenberg did his Ophthalmology Residency at USF Medical Centre in Tampa, Florida for three more years -studying the medical and surgical treatment of eye disorders. In 1982, upon graduation, Dr. Luxenberg opened the Palm Harbor Eye Clinic to serve the needs of the residents of North Pinellas and South Pasco counties.
Dr. Alyssa Hooper M.D. is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Puget Sound and went on to earn her medical degree from Tulane University of Medicine in New Orleans. Alyssa completed her internship at Sacred Heart Providence in Spokane, WA and completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Florida Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Hooper is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
