My recent visit to Dr. Kohandarvish was rather pleasant! I got x-rays, several fillings, and deep cleaning on four quadrants. It had been a couple years since I last visited a dentist, so the upkeep was important. The doctor provided me with several options to ensure I was comfortable. I often have trouble opening my mouth for an extended period of time due to TMJ syndrome, so when I explained this, the doctor provided me with breaks to recover and massaged my jaw muscles to provide relief. On an important tangent, you must be aware of how much your insurance will cover the cost of certain procedures. Because my cleaning was considered a "deep cleaning", it required a different procedure that carried an added out-of-pocket cost. My dental insurance is cheap, so these costs added up quickly, costing me hundreds of dollars. It's difficult for me to know whether my cost was "fair" or if the onus is on me/my insurance, so I have not factored that into my review score, but I wanted to put it on the record for consideration. The important part is that Dr. Kohandarvish explained all the costs to me before starting the procedures, allowing me time to consider my options. And of course, the procedures themselves went smoothly, and I experienced no problems afterward. My teeth feel good and look clean. I have no qualms about coming back here later this year for my next cleaning!

Let's face it. No one WANTS to go to the dentist. It's been a few years since I last saw mine and I felt like a needed a new one. I was referred to Palm Dental Smiles by my wife. I needed the works done- X-ray, cleaning, fillings. Booking an appointment was fast and easy. They called me back and moved me in sooner to accommodate my schedule. Patsy was kind and fast while she was doing my X-Rays. During my initial exam, Dr. Kohan was gentle, understanding, non-judgmental and very attentive to my questions and concerns. During the cleaning and filling portion of my appointment, she was cognizant of my pain and discomfort. Cleanings in the past with other dentists have been riddled with dread and anxiety but Dr. Kohan and her assistant made it quick, gentle and somewhat comforting. One of her staff members was going through a personal crisis and Dr.Kohan showed so much grace and empathy to her colleague. Seeing this made me a patient for life! 11/10 would recommend this office. Wow! Super clean, organized, professional, and super friendly dentist office! Doctor doing the work including the cleanings herself which is customer service at its finest! Looking for a new dentist office you found it!

Palm Dental has been a great service to me over the past few years. Everyone is friendly and upfront with your oral health. They do a good job of treating you like an adult and explain how well/or not you've been managing your teeth.

I want to thank Dr Kohan and her staff for the terrific dental work I have received, I have had countless dental procedures before going to Palm Dental and the 2 new crowns I received from Palm Dental are by far the best fitting and most natural feeling ones I have ever gotten. I so appreciate the attention to the smallest detail to ensure I was comfortable and completely satisfied. Dr Kohan is the best!

I am extremely COVID protocol sensetive and go to extremes to protect myself, so I had been putting off dental work for about a year. I originally went here because it was what my insurance assigned me to. Let me state that I have now been twice over the past 2 weeks and I was extraordinary nervous as I've practically been a hand washing mask wearing hermit for 10 months and this was by far the most exposed I've been during this pandemic. Well, the receptionist did have her mask down when no patients were in lobby she did quickly put it on each time I entered. My biggest issue with mask use was that upon leaving and paying my first time I had to stand in a tiny waiting area with a patient who had her mask well down to her chin while reading a magazine in the lobby. The staff, otherwise kept theirs on when in room with me. I am extremely sensetive to cleanliness and COVID protocols and have yet to find a business of any kind that meets my standards. Did I cringe a few times here, honestly, yes- but it was clear they cared and were doing their very best to respect protocols and my anxiety. I don't feel the average consumer would have felt uncomfortable with how they are handling things in this respect. The staff was very friendly and sought to make sure I understood everything, was comfortable, and didn't feel pressured to do any suggested procedures. I did feel there was more suggested work than I'd anticipated but I also know I am a hard teeth grinder despite night guard, and hadn't seen a dentist in quite a while. If this hadn't been in the middle of a pandemic, with my normal OCD I would've felt extremely comfortable here. The building is older. Its not the shiniest newest decor or equipment, but I felt safe enough to go back for my second visit and did feel they were even more attentive to safety and making me feel at ease the 2nd time.

I had a deep cleaning. Dr. Kohan did a great and thorough job. My teeth felt incredibly clean after the experience. Highly recommended.

Dr. Kohan and staff are awesome! Had a deep cleaning and some other work done and they were gentle, efficient, and good at explaining what was going on.

Yes, i did attend this dentist (my name actually isn't what my profile says). This was a terrible experience. I hate to leave this review because everyone was very nice here. The receptionist didn't wear a mask half the time. During the cleaning, it was extremely rushed and was one of the rougher ones I've ever had done. The Dr. said i had many cavities (despite other dentists saying one or two) and was hunting for extra business. She also used a iphone to take pictures of some of my teeth? Gross. They scammed me by charging me for "antibiotic" but I was never explained that this was extra. I felt scammed here and poor COVID protocols.

When looking for a good doctor for your dental hygiene and health, there are few criterion which is required for me to trust a doctor. 1.Knowledge and expertise to diagnose the issue with dental health. 2. Ability to identify the issue , find a the best solution which is in the best interest of the patient. 3.Trust and long term care. In my case I am fortunate, to find Dr.Kohan and Patsy as a team, after a nightmarish experience with my previous dentist about 7 years back, since then never missed my appointment with Dr.Kohan's office, after numerous fills,crowns,cleaning and night-guard treatments, and every time I look forward to my next appointment. The first day I got my first meeting Dr.Kohan and Patsy, she made sure they knew and understood what was required for my dental care and appropriately recommend the solutions and referrals. She makes sure she get a second opinion on a issue at then provides a treatment. As a person, Dr.Kohan is a very knowledgeable,worldly aware and can relate to any patient and have a conversation with you to put you to ease of any procedure. I would recommend anyone without hesitation ,to visit Dr.Kohan office and get their dental work, let her know how good their service and care they provide to our community

Everyone here is very kind and understanding. They were very patient with me even though I am a gagger which can be very frustrating. They made me very comfortable and they were very professional. I went in for a cleaning and came out with a root canal but it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be both during and after! They absolutely know what they're doing and their professionalism is just as high as their compassion.

Was going to this Dentist for many years until my last visit. I felt very rushed and my cleaning was incomplete and was told that I needed to return for more. All this was done while someone else was having a root canal in another room. Bad service! Dr K never even called me after to apologize. Of course she is only concerned about making herself look good on Google reviews. If she really would have cared she would have called me after the terrible experience and apologized. After referring many patients here in the past I strongly do not recommend her.

Tears running down my face before even walking into my first dentist appointment in years (without having my mom by my side to hold my hand lol), because I am your standard "terrified of the dentist" human being. However, these ladies were so nurturing and kind while trying to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Patsy gave me a blanket cause I was shivering and shaking (from nerves), and Dr. Kohandarvish even gave me her protein shake because I told them I hadn't eaten all day (from the nerves)!!! Reguardless of how traumatizing my appointment might've felt, the women at Palm Dental Smiles were more than accommodating and I couldn't be more thankful for that.
