Dr. Howard Kay received his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1968. Following a two-year tour as a dental officer in the United States Navy, he completed his postdoctoral residency at Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, where he received his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthetic Dentistry in 1972.
International Recognition Dr. Kay is internationally recognized for his work in periodontal prosthetics, as well as in prosthetic, implant and esthetic reconstruction. He has lectured extensively at all levels, including international forums and specialty programsnotably presentations to The Academy of Osseointegration, The American College of Prosthodontics/American Academy of Periodontology Joint Meeting, The Italian Society of Periodontology, The Japan Academy of Implant Dentistry, and The International Symposium of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistryand implant training programs and symposia. He was one of only five clinicians invited to lecture at Osaka 2000, a Pan-Asian meeting onProsthodontics in the New Millennium.
Dr. Kay, working with Dr. Keough and periodontists Marvin M. Rosenberg and Robert L. Holt, co-wrotePeriodontal & Prosthetic Management of Advanced Cases, a landmark dental reconstruction textbook, published in multiple languages, that to be used in dental schools today. He has also authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed dental journals, includingThe International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative DentistryandCompendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry.
Dr. Kay and Dr. Keough are pioneers in the use of CAD/CAM technology to establish BIO-HIP Zirconia, the strongest of all ceramic materials, as the material of choice for creation of both esthetically beautiful and durable restorations.
Educational Innovator At Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry, Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professors Drs. Kay and Keough established the curriculum for the schools first Periodontal-Prosthetic program. Dr.Kay has also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Graduate Prosthodontics at the Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry and the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry.
Educational Excellence After receiving his undergraduate education from the University of Miami, Dr. Miguel Santamarina earned his doctorate from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. There he was honored with the Thomas P. Hinman Scholarship, named a Hinman Scholar and graduated first in his class of sixty-six. Advanced General Dentist Dr. Santamarina remained at the University of Florida College of Dentistry to complete his postdoctoral training in General Practice and earn his certificate of Advanced Specialty Training in General Dentistry, which included training at Shands Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital. Full Service Dentistry Dr. Santamarina enjoys all aspects of adult comprehensive dentistry. Through thousands of hours of continuing education, he has continued to expand his knowledge in the fields of implant surgery and prosthetics as well as cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Santamarina enjoys outdoor sports in his free time and is an avid fisherman and free diver. He donates time at his local church of Saint Thomas More and offers his dental services locally and on medical/dental mission trips to Central America.
Dr. Jairo Salcedo earned his initial degree from the Universidad Javeriana, in his native Colombia. He then trained at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in Boston, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master of Medical Science in Oral Biology (MMSc) degrees as well as his Advanced Postdoctoral Certification in Prosthodontics.
Distinguished Teacher Dr. Salcedo is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at University of Florida. He is in charge of Fixed Prosthodontics in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program at the Hialeah Dental Center where he teaches every Tuesday.
During his time at Harvard, Dr. Salcedo held several teaching positions, including Director of Pre-doctoral Prosthodontics, Director of the International Program in General Dentistry, and Interim Director of the Graduate Program in Prosthodontics. His contributions were recognized with theStudents Distinguished Faculty Member Awardfor instruction in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences, andCourse of the Year AwardasDirector for the Restorative Block.
Dr. Salcedo has been a guest lecturer for the residents at the General Practice Residence (GPR) program at V.A. Medical Center, West Palm Beach, dentists at thePalm Beach State College Dental Research Clinic, and prosthodontic residents at Universidad del Valle, and Colegio Odontologico Colombiano.
Dr. Salcedo provided patient care and conducted clinical trials in a practice limited to Prosthodontics at HSDM. He has published and holds patents for his research on healing around dental implants. His current research interests are in the area of Digital Dentistry, and the long-term success of zirconium all-ceramic, and Lithium Disilicate restorations. He has presented his research findings at national and international dental symposia and universities.
Dr. Salcedo focuses on all aspects of Prosthodontics at Palm Beach Prosthodontics with an emphasis on Smile Design, Full Mouth Restoration, and failing dentitions. He is particularly attuned to special needs of patients whose oral problems are complicated by severe trauma, health issues, medication, and/or physical limitations. Once his patients have been restored to proper oral health, they become part of our officeComprehensive Prevention and Maintenance Programto help sustain their dental hygiene, ensure the long-term success of their restorations, and avoid the damaging effects that oral disease can inflict on their systemic health.
Dr. Salcedo has a special interest in Early Child Development. He has helped with the development and funding for El Caracoli in Yumbo, Colombia. El Caracol is an Early Integral Development Center that was founded in June 2010 with the purpose of improving the quality of life of children under 5 years of age, through comprehensive care and early education.
Educational Excellence Dr. Caryn Kleiman completed her undergraduate education at University of Florida receiving her bachelor's degree in Psychology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. Immediately following dental school she returned to University of Florida, School of Advanced Dental Sciences for an additional three years of training where she obtained a Master's Degree in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Kleiman is passionate about restoring and maintaining her patients confidence and comfort. She is always striving for excellence through her professionalism and her compassion for her patients needs, while remaining up-to-date with the current trends and latest technology in dentistry. She has a keen eye for esthetics and has successfully integrated neuromodulators (e.g. Botox, Dysport) and dermal fillers (e.g. Juvederm, Restylane) with cosmetic dentistry to enhance patients desired results.
Personal Interests As a Florida native, Dr. Kleiman was born in Miami and was raised in Broward County. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, and almost any outdoor activity. She is also an avid reader and loves new recommendations!
Dr. Luisa F. Recio trained at the Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in Boston, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master of Medical Science in Oral Biology (MMSc) degrees as well as her Advanced Postdoctoral Certification in Periodontics.
Periodontistsare dentistrys experts in treating periodontal disease. They receive three additional years of specialized training beyond dental school in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease, the restoration of teeth supporting structures, and in the placement of dental implants.
Dr. Recios treatment includes scaling and root planning (in which the infected surface of the root is cleaned) or root surface debridement (in which damaged tissue is removed), advanced periodontal disease (severe gum problems) to eliminate periodontal pockets, infection, bad breath, tooth mobility, and gum recession. Dr. Recios treatment for the restoration of teeth includes the removal of hopeless teeth, bone grafting, sinus lift, implant placement, and maintenance.
Dr. Kannikals training commenced with a Bachelors degree from the University of Miami. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine and was honored as the recipient of the Award in Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Kannikal completed postdoctoral training with a one year implant fellowship in conjunction with the Department of Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University. She is currently a member of the International Team of Implantology and Atlantic Coast District Dental Research Clinic.
During her seven years in private practice, she has been committed to remaining current in the field through numerous continuing education hours in cosmetic dentistry, implantology, and orthodontic therapy using Invisalign technology. Dr. Kannikal and her staff pride themselves in maintaining an office where patients get individualized attention from people who are truly passionate about their profession.

Dr. Salcedo is very professional and meticulous with dental recontruction. I love how my smile and teeth look. I would recommend him in a heartbeat! The office staff and dental assistants are all very courteous and friendly. Best dentist ever!

They use updated technology, a competent and professional office staff, and can do a lot in their lab on site, so you don't have to wait. Hands down, Dr. Kleiman is the best dentist I have ever been to. She is meticulous, caring and her priorities include patient comfort and top quality work. I had a front bridge done (all my front teeth) and it looks remarkably real. People are genuinely surprised when I tell them it's a bridge. My boyfriend is nervous about dentists, but went to her when he chipped a tooth and came home with a newly made tooth the same day, and is no longer worried about going to dental visits.

This is a review from a patient of Dr. Kleiman's, who has worked in the dental field for 38 years. During the course of my career I have seen and worked in many dental offices, including this one. I can also say I've seen it all, from Park Avenue to park bench. That being said, I no longer work here, I could go to any dental office I want to. I see Dr. Kleiman because I know first-hand, that, not only is she a perfectionist, a scientist and genius, but she also studied psychology as well. Because of her clinical experience, and her hard work, she is a natural. I personally feel safe and protected, when I am in her chair. One of the things that is so important is being a good listener. She treats people as individuals and really takes the time to evaluate everybody's unique situation, and will find a solution for all problems. She's also not afraid to recommend a different doctor, if she knows that will help you. She is not greedy for money. She will never recommend doing any type of treatment unless she knows it will be beneficial and correct your situation. She genuinely loves what she does. (I think she is brilliant ) Not to mention the fact that she's married to a dentist, and her sister is a dentist,I think it runs in the family. She is one-of-a-kind! An artist, an engineer, and fabricates the most beautiful dentistry along with Marty the lab technician in the office, that I have personally ever seen in my entire career. And I've worked for some top specialists all over the country, and Dr. Kleiman is one of them, I would say she's upper echelon, in the top 5%. The entire office, staff and lab technicians all work together as a team. This is also an important aspect when seeking a place to call home. A place where you can go to get your teeth cleaned every six months, or get full mouth reconstruction. I am so grateful to know that if I ever have need help,I know where to go, without hesitation!

This place has the rudest dental hygienists! During my last appointment, the lady was so rude and passive aggressive, that I got up from my chair and walked out. Try Premiere Dental in Lake Worth off of Jog; everyone there is super friendly and professional!

Dr Santamarina and Dr Kleiman at Palm Beach Prosthodontics are as good as they come. Dr S and his crew have made the experience of replacing my full set of Dentures an absolute pleasure. Working with my implants from another doctor he made me an absolutely beautiful set of teeth that are more comfortable than I ever thought possible. Dr Kleiman is equally as talented. Her communication skills are fantastic. She did a great job explaining the process in which she used Botox & fillers to complement the work that Dr S did. She was gentle and cautious and talked me through each step making sure not to overdo it. I never knew how amazing these products can be when used respectfully. Both Dr Santamarina and Dr Kleiman are top notch as well as compassionate about how difficult and costly all of this can be. They made both quite easy to handle. You will not regret coming here for a second. Best of luck!

Dr Kleiman is an extremely competent dentist. She is very gentle, very thorough and a perfectionist about insuring that all her work is flawless. Dr. Kleiman provides a fabulous experience. Every procedure I've had done under her care has been an amazingly comfortable & painless process with quality results. The office is great, it's beautiful, clean, & they get you in and out quickly. The hygienist, assistants & staff are amazing. Prior to becoming a patient of Dr. Kleiman's , I was bouncing around at those corporate dentist wasting my time & $$$ getting shoddy work. Dr. Kleiman & team get 5 STARS all the way!!!

In a close dialog, handling all my concerns, doubts and fears patiently, Dr. Kleiman was able to find the best solution for me. I never felt just overruled or dismissed. I live overseas and I would/will fly over just for an appointment with Dr. Kleiman. I was looking for such a dentist for over 30 years!
