The oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Palisades Oral Surgery specialize in all facets of the profession. Our practice manages patients that require dental implants, removal of wisdom teeth, correction of developmental deformities of the jaws and face, oral pathology, TMJ dysfunction and the use of IV sedation or general anesthesia when required.

Any patients undergoing procedures requiring IV sedation or general anesthesia will be required not to eat or drink anything including water 8 hours prior to surgery. It is also necessary to have an escort present to help with any immediate post operative care and to provide safe transportation home. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to help you. If you have any questions regarding your insurance coverage our staff will assist you to the best of their ability, however, it is important to be aware that no two policies are the same and it is beneficial that you understand your own insurance policy. Travel east (rte95 North) towards the George Washington Bridge. Follow any of these highways to the sign that says last exit in New Jersey (Route 80/95 exit #73) go up ramp to 2nd light, which is Lemoine Avenue Make right onto Lemoine. At the third light (Delta Gas Station on left) make a left and quick left at stop sign onto Palisade Ave . (We are the first Building on the right). Make right into driveway. At the top of the driveway bare to right into the parking garage where valet will park your car.

Travel PIP south (Pass exit 1 stay to right after gas station) to the last exit before the George Washington Bridge (Hudson Terrace). Make left at stop sign. Follow Hudson Terrace to the second light make right onto Bruce Reynolds Boulevard. Make the second left onto Martha Washington Way (which will turn into Palisades Ave) pass 2 lights. We are located on the left directly after the PNC bank and cleaners. The Colony Building. Make left into driveway at the top of the driveway bare to right into the parking garage where valet will park your car.

Take second exit going over the bridge (Hudson Terrace) follow exit around to the light make right onto Hudson Terrace go to first light make right onto Bruce Reynolds Boulevard. Dr. Vincent Carrao is an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon who began his undergraduate education at New York University where he received a Bachelors of Arts Degree. He continued his education at Columbia Universitys School of Dental and Oral Surgery where he obtained a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1993. His desire to become a surgeon led him to his acceptance into Columbia Presbyterians Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program. As part of his 6-year training program, Columbia Universitys College of Physicians and Surgeons bestowed upon him a medical degree in 1996. In order to solidify his post-doctoral training, Dr. Carrao also completed 1-year of General Surgery training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Upon completion of his surgical training, Dr. Carrao entered into private practice and obtained hospital privileges at both New York Presbyterian Hospital and Holy Name Hospital. As time progressed, Dr. Carrao became the Associate Program Director and Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Columbia University establishing himself as an integral part of the residency training program, where he provides teaching, supervision and expertise over the many major maxillofacial reconstructive and pathology cases at the hospital. Dr. Carrao also participates in an annual medical mission with Healing The Children to Central and South America to treat children suffering with cleft lip and palate. Dr. Carrao is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who belongs to numerous associations, including the American Board of Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Medial Association, American Dental Association and the Dental Society of the State of New York, Medical and Dental Societies of the State of New Jersey.
