Hi, Im Christina Allen. I grew up in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. I have been around dentistry my entire life. My father was a dentist and as early as 8 years old I would accompany him for emergencies on the weekends to assist. The dental office was my second home growing up and I worked as an assistant for many years. I felt I was taught by the best and learned so many valuable things in dentistry before attending college. I also had many opportunities to travel abroad and learn of other cultures and people. For my dental hygiene studies, I attended Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida at the Dental Hygiene School and received my Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. I did all of my prerequisites at Weber State University as well as BYU Jerusalem, BYU Salt Lake, and SLCC. I loved the experiences I had with my schooling in Florida. I was able to work closely with the University of Florida Dental School, the VA Hospital in Gainesville, as well as clinics in rural areas of Central Florida. I worked with a real diversity of people. I worked in Georgia for a few years as a registered dental hygienist, before moving back to Utah. I have been a Dental Hygienist now since 1993 (27 years) and I have my licenses in Georgia (expired), Florida (current) and Utah (current). I am also licensed to do Local Anesthetic. I have continued to learn and grow in my profession, learning from each dentist I work with and attending continuing education conferences and courses. I enjoy my job and getting to know my patients. I get satisfaction in being meticulous and in helping my patients feel as comfortable as they can. I have especially enjoyed working in Utah County, here at Palisades Dental in American Fork. The patients here are great! My interests outside of my work are hiking, gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, skiing and anything outdoors. I have a Mini Aussie/Border Collie dog who is my hiking buddy. I also have two amazing kids. They are the most important people to me in my life and I never tire of being with them or talking about them.

Maddi has been a hygienist for nine years, and loves it! She is from Southern Utah, where she attended Dixie State University for hygiene school and moved to Lehi with her husband and twin daughters. She enjoys hiking with her golden-doodle Rosie, doing jigsaw puzzles and doing home improvement projects.

MacKenzie started working in the dental field 15 years ago in Idaho as a front desk receptionist and was also trained as a dentsl assistant. Her background in various aspects of the field allows her to answer many of the questions a patient may have about their dental procedures.

Dr. Youngquist has been an amazing dentist these past 6 years of living in Utah. They're always honest and his staff couldn't be nicer. Also, the hygienists are great and listen to any concerns or sensitivity you might have. They see my 90 grandma every 6 months and she loves them so that should say it all. Dr. Capua is the orthodontist in office and he is very knowledgeable. I got braces recently for a 2nd time because I didn't wear my retainer as a kid. He was able to help straighten my teeth within a year and a few months.

Very nice and friendly staff. My hygienist was so sweet. Dr Youngquist asked questions, and listened. I didn't feel like he was rushing, or that I was a burden.

I look forward to coming to get my teeth cleaned every 6 months. The ladies up front are so nice and make it easy. Janette is the best! I have never had any bad experiences with any of the hygienists. Both doctors are great. Highly recommend this office to take care of your teeth!
