As a connoisseur of everything exciting and new in the medical technology world, Dr. Palermo continues educating and immersing himself in the amazing new technologies that make treating patients quicker and more comfortable. Dr. Palermos vision to keep the practice small and intimate while simultaneously providing the absolute pinnacle of care and service leaves patients feeling secure in their health and treatment.
Following undergraduate studies at both Hofstra and Stony Brook Universities, Dr. Palermo was granted a rare early acceptance to NYU Dental School where he completed his dental training and graduated, with honors, in 1993. Dr. Palermos talents were recognized early when he was given the prestigious Bridging the Gap award for clinical excellence. This honor, given to only one student in each dental school in the country, resulted in Dr. Palermo being asked to represent NYU at an exclusive meeting sponsored by the top clinicians in the world. Dr. Palermo has strived to keep with this positive trajectory in his practice. He has been recognized by both The New York Dental Association and The New York Dental Foundation for his efforts in continuing education. Dr. Palermo is now one of only a handful of dentists on Long Island to complete training and certification in advanced airway management for treatment of snoring and sleep apnea.
The solid foundation of this practice was established in 1962 by Dr. Palermo, Sr., who established a true family-inspired, referral-based practice that has continued to grow and remain strong over many decades. The objective, however, has always remained the same, to provide the utmost quality in dental care while easing typical dental anxiety.
