As a youngster, I was seen by a dentist who was able to make me feel comfortable within the dental environment. Experiencing his kindness and friendliness led me to want to pursue a profession in dentistry.
Being a pediatric dentist is about effectively, comfortably, and safely monitoring and managing the childs dental health. My team and I spend a great deal of time teaching kids and their parents how to best maintain their oral health, so they can enjoy a lifetime of well-functioning, healthy, and happy smiles.
It is so rewarding to spend my days with children: getting to know them on a personal level and watching them grow from infants/young children into their teens and beyond. I enjoy sharing in their experiences, cheering for their accomplishments, and providing a supportive dental home.
I grew up in Chicago and attended the University of Illinois for my Bachelor of Science. I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois-Chicago. After having served two years as a dentist in the U.S. Army, I returned to UIC and entered its pediatric dentistry residency program. Upon completing my certification I opened Palatine Pediatric Dentistry.
Until recently, I taught part-time in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. I was an assistant professor and attending pediatric dentist at the UIC Hospital, where I helped to train others as pediatric dentists.
Throughout my years of practice, I have constantly sought to remain at the forefront of advances within the specialty. I have lectured on aspects of the specialty locally, nationally, and internationally. With ongoing continuing education, I feel confident that I am offering the best, most up-to-date, effective, and safest pediatric dental care.
When Im not treating patients, I love seeing family and friends. I enjoy tennis, photography, and traveling. I spend a lot of time hoping that the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears enjoy successful seasons.
I hope that I am a help to those I see, and they understand I do my best to make them comfortable during their visits. I want them and their families to know that their health, well-being, and best interests are my motivation and goal.
Since opening the doors of Palatine Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Seidman has helped generations of children grow up with beautifully strong and healthy smiles. He and our team are honored to be seeing the children of some of our earliest patients!

Dr. Seidman and our team members strive to help each young patient attain and maintain the best dental health. We emphasize preventive care and patient/parent education, with a focus on establishing and reinforcing good dental hygiene practices from an early age.
We use advanced dental technologies and techniques, and tailor treatment to each childs clinical needs, while working within theparents desires. Rather than a cookie-cutter approach, we design care for the individual, so treatment is efficient, comfortable, and effective.

My 7 y.o son is a patient of Dr. Seidmans for little over a year. Today he had his first extraction. Dr. Seidman did an amazing job! He made him feel safe and relaxed. The whole process was painless and professional. I was amazed! No tears, no screaming. Just a very positive experience. I have a great fear of dentists because of childhood trauma. I do not want this for my kids. Dr. Seidman is just the right dentist for us.

Dr Seidman was absolutely amazing with my 6 year old, who has autism. He was patient, caring, and thorough. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!! Thank you!

Very Unprofessional receptionist. When I called I asked if they were accepting new patients at the time. Her immediate response went as follows "UH I don't know " very hesitant as if she was thinking due to maybe the sound of my voice whether she should say yes or no. "We are not taking new patients with state insurance" like OHHHKAY! don't think you should lead with that question Ma'am. How about absolutely, we have a few slots open for certain insurances at the moment, what insurance do they have? SMH! I really would of loved for my kiddos to have been patients here. I really felt so devalued, I stood on the phone, waited for her to arrive and told her I'll call back, not even then did she think to apologize or say thank you for calling. I received a hard click. It's unfortunate that she made me feel this bad that I came to the reviews, I have NEVER written a bad one, felt the dentist should know. No name Provided but it was 7/22/2021 @ 3:35pm

I gave one star only because its a way to leave a review. From the very beginning of my daughters appointment the dentist seemed in a very bad mood! My 5 year old is one of the kids who is very nervous when she sees the dentist. When it was time to take the pictures of her teeth she was very scared. Instead of trying to wait till she was calm the dentist tried to force my daughter to put the plastic in her mouth and for her to close her mouth so he can get the picture! This experience has made it even harder for her to go see the dentist!

Dr. Seidman is a very patient dentist who always takes the time to explain things. It's obvious that he cares about each child. One of my children was sometimes difficult and Dr. Seidman was very kind to her. I also appreciate that his appointments run on time and scheduling is very easy.
