Sensational upgraded dental care may be only partially covered by insurance or even totally optional however we feel that patients should be allowed to choose and not be dictated by dental insurance coverage.
Our office is located in Palatine, IL, and we have been providing dentistry services for more a decade and have a long list of happy and satisfied clients. Convenience and comfort are the two hallmarks of our office. We have a state-of-the-art facility to ensure the highest quality dental care.
Dr. LaVigne graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1977. He opened his practice in the Office Park of Palatine in 1983. He has attended many continuing education classes involving a wide range of topics. Dr. LaVigne is a highly experienced dentist and provides excellent dental care for a wide range of procedures and for patients of all ages. Our mission is to help patients maintain or regain good health as well as strong dentition and an attractive smile. We emphasize patient education and clear communication.

I was having pain so I went to Dr. Lavigne. He got me in right away on Saturday. When I went back to have my wisdom tooth removed, it was a nightmare. He had me in that chair for 1 3/4 hours. Pulling and twisting and yanking. 2 days later, I was in horrible pain. I called at 7:30 a.m. then left several texts. he replied at 3 p.m. He called in an antibiotic, but no pain meds. I was in agony for 5 days ( Labor day weekend). It turns our I had a dry socket. New to me, extremely painful. Dr. LeVigne was extremely indifferent to my pain. Take 3 or 4 advil was his advice. He finally prescribed 10 Tylenol with codeine which wasn't enough for even 2 days. His indifference to my extreme pain shocked me. He refused to send my x-rays, I had to ask 3 times. He then said his advice is that I don't wait until I'm in pain to come in. So blame the patient. Ignore the fact that he created more pain than before I saw him. My advice to him is that he refer patients to an oral surgeon when the treatment is beyond his experience and ability. I trusted him that he knew how to treat my problem. So if you need routine maintenance, you can give him a try. Otherwise, steer clear.

Dr. LeVigne saw me last minute on a Saturday after his last patient of the day! I need to have an infected wisdom tooth pulled. He was very friendly and explained everything. He really went above and beyond.

I have been seeing Dr. LaVigne for the past 5 years. Even though I have moved to Chicago in that time, driving to Palatine for Dr. LaVigne is well worth it for his overall quality of work, kind demeanor and gentle yet thorough dental expertise! I had to see Dr. Lavigne for an emergency broken tooth while my regular dentist was out of town. He and his staff were very understanding, compassionate, and helpful. They were able to see me very quickly. The doctor was so kind. He explained what he was going to do and stated everything that would happen as he put in a temporary filler for my tooth. He assuaged my fears and was so calm. Not knowing what to expect, it was a relief to have him explain everything along the way. I was so grateful for his wonderful, calm, professional demeanor that put a stranger at ease. Thank you very much!
