Our flagship dental office, Painesville Dental Group, first opened its doors in 1969. Since then, we have added three additional dental offices to better serve patients in our communities. Dental Group of Jefferson joined the PDG family in 1971 Chardon Smile Center in 2008 and Hilltop Family Dental in 2019. In 2020, Painesville Dental Group relocated to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility custom-built to offer patients better, more modern and streamlined oral healthcare experiences. Ever since he can remember, Dr. Horvath has enjoyed science, the outdoors, and working directly with other people. In time, becoming a healthcare provider just seemed like a great fit! He was able to shadow his family dentist while in college and became interested in that field specifically as a result the rest is history. Today, hes known many of his patients for decades, and its been a true honor and privilege to help them smile brighter.
Dr. Horvath graduated from the OSU School of Dentistry in 1980, followed by the completion of a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. This specialty training allowed him to become a staff member at our local hospitals and perform certain procedures in the O.R. for patients with special needs who cannot be cared for in a more traditional setting. For around 15 years, he was also on staff at several nursing homes and a specific facility for special needs patients. Today, he is a proud member of the American Dental Association and Ohio Dental Association.
Dr. Horvath has been married to his wife Pattie for over 40 years he couldnt have done all this without her! They have been blessed with three grown children and seven wonderful grandchildren. Outside of the dental office, he is an avid fisherman who particularly enjoys fly fishing for steelhead and fishing at Lake Erie for walleye and perch. In past years, hes traveled to Alaska for salmon and halibut and Lake Michigan and Ontario for salmon, steelhead, and lake trout. He also spends plenty of free time traveling with family (especially to state and national parks) and celebrating all of lifes wonderful milestones with friends and other loved ones.
Dr. Patriarca attended John Carroll University before pursuing his dental doctorate at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 1987. He has also pursued countless continuing education courses to further elevate his skillset. This includes studying CEREC same-day technology and also cosmetic dentistry at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute.
Dr. Patriarca and his wife Connie have four children named Courtney, Robbie, Vincenzo, and Antonio. When he isnt busy caring for teeth, you can often find him fishing, playing golf, or coaching CYO football. He actually played football at John Carroll from 1979 to 1983, so his love of the game runs deep!

(Translated by Google) Horrible experience, I waited a long time for my appointment...the day comes and they give me a prescription for 15 minutes and I go outside...they have changed my appointments several times and I take one out for cleaning and they call me to tell me that they gave me the appointment wrong! Tremendous garbage of a place! I picked PDG because they were close to home. Man did I luck out. The staff, doctors, and hygienists are all very professional, personable, and friendly. You feel that they are involved and really care about your dental health. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a dental office.

I had been going here for years but unfortunately I feel like things have gone down hill since Dr K left the office. I was told incorrectly that my insurance would cover something recently, and then I double checked that I didn't owe anything at my last appointment. Two months later I got a bill for over $400, and when I called today to try and understand why, the receptionist Vicki snapped at me even though I was being polite. I generally go out of my way to be kind to people and not take my problems out on others, so when she kept saying strangely rude things even after I responded calmly and even asked why, I was just really disappointed. It's also very unprofessional after repeatedly being rude to someone to then put them on hold, without a word, while they're talking. The manager was apparently sitting right there and heard everything so she suggested I be put on a payment plan which I'm now hoping truly happens because I can't prove that they offered this plan over the phone (I will update this to reflect if they do stand by it). She spoke with me and was professional but then said they made no mistakes which simply isn't true, as I would not have gone ahead with something I possibly couldn't afford. I'd have waited or made another decision. The receptionist left me a message later in the day with a half-hearted apology but still expressed that she didn't think she was being rude ("Sorry we can't all be perfect like you" is pretty textbook rudeness, among other things including telling me I wasn't welcome back until everything was fully paid off). I'm too uncomfortable to go back there after all of this unprovoked hostility, especially because I had been going for over 5 years and now driving 45 minutes to get there since I moved away. Really disheartening.

Just completed my Invisalign treatment with Paiensville dental group and had the most amazing experience. Dr. Jerry and Susan are fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better pair!

After avoiding the dentist for years due to anxiety about touching my teeth, I went in for a cleaning and had the perfect experience. Pain free!! I can't believe it! Everyone was super nice and friendly, the young lady that cleaned my teeth was thorough and thoughtful of my anxiety, the doctor came in and was super nice and friendly too. Gave me lots of good advice too. I will not go anywhere else.

Becky is a very seasoned professional hygienist. If your a person that really cares about having a good cleaning with someone with a good engaging personality, she is the one. I have been going to this practice all my life, into my 60's now. Dr. Pat and Horvath only suggest dental work when it is appropriate. They can be trusted.
