Dr. Albert G Ruezga grew up in a small farming community in Hilmar, California. He attended college at California State University Stanislaus where he obtained his B.S. in Biological Science. Dr. Ruezga received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2001. While at UCSF Dr. Ruezga won the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award as well as the Northern California Academy of Endodontics Student Award. Dr. Ruezga acquired Pahrump Family Dental in 2005 is committed to excellence by providing compassionate care in a state of the art facility. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, Southern Nevada Dental Society.
Dr. Ruezga is very passionate about his chosen profession and enjoys volunteering his talents to multiple outreach programs including Nye Country Coalition and Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps. He has traveled to remote areas of the world (Mexico, Egypt, Cuba, China, Costa Rica, Jamaica) and enhanced individuals lives by treating people in need and promoting health through good oral hygiene.
On his free time Dr. Ruezga enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Brandi and their three amazing children (Sky, Gus, Tre). His hobbies include traveling, fishing, hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling and ATVs.
Hazel, originally from Ireland, moved to the states when she was very young. She started her career in dentistry as a Dental Assistant and enjoyed what she did for some time, but her desire to help people gave her the drive to further her education. Hazel attended Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA and graduated with an AAS in Dental Hygiene. She has since become a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and has practiced in Philadelphia and Chicago before settling in Southern Nevada. In June of 2016 Hazel joined the team here at Pahrump Family Dental, where her passion for her profession have been clearly reflected in the care she provides for her patients. She is a truly dedicated Dental Hygienist. Hazel loves her work and is pleased to have teamed up with a practice that shares her same desires and vision for patient care.
Amys passion for dentistry began her first year of high school when a close friend encouraged her to explore the dental field. Through ten years of observing at various dental offices in California and completing a dental internship in Arizona, Amys love for dentistry grew. She has also volunteered for several dental service trips where she provided dental care in rural California, Mexico and Morocco. Amy graduated with her B.S. in Biology from California Baptist University and three years later graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene.
Amy takes joy in offering comfortable and educational experiences for each of her patients. Her desire is to help her patients understand the importance of oral care while providing gentle, personalized treatment.
Amy is the wife of Caleb Walker, the Associate Pastor at Pahrump Community Church. When she is not caring for patients at Pahrump Family Dental, Amy is involved in multiple church ministries as she seeks to love both God and her community.
Shaylee was born and raised in a small town on a farm.She attended Snow College in Utah where she played college softball for two years. After receiving her Associates Degree at Snow College, she attender Fortis College for her Associates of Dental Hygiene. Shaylee relocated to Henderson in January of 2020, and started working for Dr. Ruezga at the same time.
