Dr. Albert G Ruezga grew up in a small farming community in Hilmar, California. He attended college at California State University Stanislaus where he obtained his B.S. in Biological Science. Dr. Ruezga received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2001. While at UCSF Dr. Ruezga won the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award as well as the Northern California Academy of Endodontics Student Award. Dr. Ruezga acquired Pahrump Family Dental in 2005 is committed to excellence by providing compassionate care in a state of the art facility. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, Southern Nevada Dental Society.
Dr. Ruezga is very passionate about his chosen profession and enjoys volunteering his talents to multiple outreach programs including Nye Country Coalition and Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps. He has traveled to remote areas of the world (Mexico, Egypt, Cuba, China, Costa Rica, Jamaica) and enhanced individuals lives by treating people in need and promoting health through good oral hygiene.
On his free time Dr. Ruezga enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Brandi and their three amazing children (Sky, Gus, Tre). His hobbies include traveling, fishing, hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling and ATVs.
Hazel, originally from Ireland, moved to the states when she was very young. She started her career in dentistry as a Dental Assistant and enjoyed what she did for some time, but her desire to help people gave her the drive to further her education. Hazel attended Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA and graduated with an AAS in Dental Hygiene. She has since become a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and has practiced in Philadelphia and Chicago before settling in Southern Nevada. In June of 2016 Hazel joined the team here at Pahrump Family Dental, where her passion for her profession have been clearly reflected in the care she provides for her patients. She is a truly dedicated Dental Hygienist. Hazel loves her work and is pleased to have teamed up with a practice that shares her same desires and vision for patient care.
Amys passion for dentistry began her first year of high school when a close friend encouraged her to explore the dental field. Through ten years of observing at various dental offices in California and completing a dental internship in Arizona, Amys love for dentistry grew. She has also volunteered for several dental service trips where she provided dental care in rural California, Mexico and Morocco. Amy graduated with her B.S. in Biology from California Baptist University and three years later graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene.
Amy takes joy in offering comfortable and educational experiences for each of her patients. Her desire is to help her patients understand the importance of oral care while providing gentle, personalized treatment.
Amy is the wife of Caleb Walker, the Associate Pastor at Pahrump Community Church. When she is not caring for patients at Pahrump Family Dental, Amy is involved in multiple church ministries as she seeks to love both God and her community.
Shaylee was born and raised in a small town on a farm.She attended Snow College in Utah where she played college softball for two years. After receiving her Associates Degree at Snow College, she attender Fortis College for her Associates of Dental Hygiene. Shaylee relocated to Henderson in January of 2020, and started working for Dr. Ruezga at the same time.

Super rude staff and management. I just wanted to know how much stuff cost. They weren't even willing to listen to what was wrong. There's better dentist in pahrump

They try to push extra services that isn't covered under normal insurance. Also, if you have health issues they won't accommodate you. Work done is not the best either.

Dr. Ruezga is beyond amazing and extremely professional. He's done quite a bit of work on me and every time the results surpass my expectations. He is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and his work shows the proof. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The office is clean and organized, which makes me feel even better getting dental work done. I have had nothing but positive experiences here and would strongly recommend everyone to check this place out.

I have a new dentist here in Pahrump. I am very happy with his staff and him, Dr. Ruezga at Pahrump Family Dental. Since I was about 8 years old I had a severe dental phobia. I am 75 now. I had avoided dentists for quite awhile out of fear. Recently I had such a tooth ache, that I made an appointment assuming a tooth needed pulling. I told the dentist which tooth. He checked it & told me I was blaming the wrong tooth. The right one was on the other side of a gap. He took care of 2 teeth that needed it. One pulled and the other crowned or for future preparation for it. I had been more relaxed in that office then ever in a dentist's office before. I love to make people laugh and the dentist and other staff chuckled. There were magazines in the lobby, so I happily waited and read, while I waited for my ride home. The staff had called my son for me for my ride home. I have no criticisms and plan to make other appointments there in the future.

Dr Ruezga and his staff are the BEST! First let me say that going to this Dentist (Dr Ruezga) has change my thinking. Like most of us visiting the Dentist was the last thing we wanted to do, until the pain was to much! Dr Ruezga and his staff has changed my mind. My teeth are healthy and I enjoy going to see him, especially Brenda his Office Manager. Brenda is Awesome, she help me with my mom when we moved her here from California! Look I could go on and on, bottom line if your new in town or just looking for a Dentist call Brenda and tell Chuck Hernandez sent you! Pahrump Valley Dental Best Dentist in Town!

I highly recommend Pahrump Family Dental. The facilities are clean and impressive with up-to-date technology. The entire staff was professional and compassionate. The best cleaning I've ever had! Dr. Ruezga was very thorough, explaining every detail of the x-rays and photos taken, and every step of treatment. Overall experience was excellent!

Staff is very friendly. I had a cleaning done here and everyone was professional. My mother had work done here as well and she loves this place! Dr. Ruezga is excellent! I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone.

I had a procedure done that I found out later from a different dentist that really was not needed that has caused long lasting negative effects on my jaw and my bite. I have never had problems with my teeth in the past. But now, since going to Dr. Ruezga I am still in pain after 2 months and have had to pay a lot more money to someone else to fix the problems caused by Dr. Ruezga. I would never recommend Dr. Ruezga to anyone.

My wife and I were traveling through Pahrump, only staying a few days on business, when I broke a molar and needed services pretty quick. I figured I would have to get a temporary crown, then wait until we got back home, go through another dentist, etc. I called Pahrump Family Dental early the next morning and the staff got me in by 10am. After explaining the situation, and the fact we were still a month away from being back home in Missouri, they worked around their existing schedule of clients and not only fitted me for a crown, actually digitally scanned and created a new permanent porcelain crown that same day. Within 4 hours I was walking out of their office with a well fit, great looking permanent solution. While I'm sure everyone has a unique situation, I must say this was the best Dentist office visit I've had in years, if not ever. Professional, friendly staff, that explained everything as we went along, all the way down to showing me how they used the technology to create the crown, and even the machine that create it. While I can't really say much about the price, because I have nothing to compare it to, I thought it was pretty reasonable considering it was a permanent solution, and the fact they had to work on another tooth with a separate issue at the same time. I was also impressed with the lack of discomfort during the process, although I lucked out and didn't have to have a root canal procedure.

I drive to Pahrump from the Lakes to see Dr. Ruezga. I don't even like driving to Green Valley. Excellent dentist, excellent person. Well worth the drive every time!
