Dr. Diana Heineken grew up in Redlands, CA to a family of dental professionals, where she watched her parents build their practices with genuine care for their patients and community. She immersed herself into dentistry in college where she worked part-time as a dental assistant. Both the technical and interpersonal skills in the dental office came easily to her. Moreover, after working for a pediatric dentist, and then helping her mom run her practice, Dr. Heineken really fell in love with the profession.After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California Irvine, she headed to Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, where she received her master's degree, as well as her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry. She has since brought her dental expertise to beautiful San Diego, where she provides quality care and strives to educate her patients on the connection between oral and systemic health. She has been a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the dental society as well as being a CDA Delegate for the State Dental Society. She also provides free dental care as part of her volunteer work with Veterans Village and other charitable organizations.When shes not in the office, Dr. Heineken loves spending time with her family, including her husband, their young son, and their 2 dogs. A fitness fanatic, she has ran 15 half-marathons, 1 full marathon, and a Spartan Beast race, all within the last 8 years. Chances are, if shes not working, shes working out on her Peloton, or going out for hikes with the family.

I have been a patient at Pacific Smile Design for 17+ years. From the moment you walk into the office Jill and Linette are extremely friendly and the care I receive from Elba (my hygienist), Darlene and Dr. Heineken is exceptional. The entire team is very professional but yet they make you feel like you're family.

These are the BEST Dentists and staff I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I've been coming here for several years (4 years and counting) amidst moves to Orange County, San Diego, and now Washington state. Their follow-up and planning for your care is the best, they explain everything and lay it out for you to understand easily. I live in Washington state and make sure to make appointments to see them anytime I'm in town to visit friends and family.

I am thrilled to have found Pacific Smile Design! The team is professional, knowledgeable and so kind! Going to the dentist can be scary but Dr. Heineken and her team makes it so easy and comfortable. Dr. Heineken answered all my questions regarding my dental health and Invisalign. I have extreme crowding in my lower teeth and wasn't sure if Invisalign would work. They gave me a free consult anyways and not once did I feel any judgment. Spoiler alert - it did work! I still have a few more trays so this is not final product but you can already see how much it has improved. I feel like I can finally smile with my teeth in my photos now. I will definitely be going back for my future cleanings after I am done with Invisalign...and I am bringing my mom next! Thank you!

Top notch dental care - the best experience ever. The staff is also caring, positive, and professional. The dental work is perfect, and I have had a lot of dental work! Also, it is always pain free. even the dental cleaning is pain free. Even the novacain needle is pain free. Remarkable experience.

I always enjoy my dental appointments! Wait time(s) are short. Staff is always super friendly and extremely professional. My dental hygienist is the absolute best!! Dr. Heineken is great!!

I've known the office crew and my dental hygienist (Elba) for decades. They are the most professional and customer-focused group of medical care providers that I've ever met. I was a white-knuckled dental patient in my earlier years, mostly due to poor experiences with the dentist and/or hygienist. As a team they have completely transformed my perspective to where I have almost fallen asleep in the chair. Other than out of town emergencies, this is the only team my family and I have used since the mid-1980's!

I was in for my routine cleaning and had a great visit. The staff is so caring and fun. My time with the hygienist was very productive. She is so sweet and gentle....yet excellent at her job. When she was finished my teeth felt smooth and were really white.... I can't say enough great things about this office.

Always receive first rate service and personal attention from Dr. Heineken and the entire staff. Rebekah and Jill at the front desk are always so helpful. Highly recommend Dr. Heineken and the friendly professional office to anyone seeking dental care. New Post 11/30/17 Dr. Davis is an amazing dentist and a really great person. Love his entire staff.
