At Pacific Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Sun and his staff believe that healthy smiles play an integral role in developing happy and healthy kids. We make it our priority to care for your child in a fun, comfortable, and individualized manner. We are committed to providing optimum, long-term dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and persons with special needs.
We understand that children need to feel comfortable in a dental office, and our office is specifically designed to do just that! We have an open bay treatment area, kid-friendly decor, a play area stocked with toys and games, and TV screens above each operatory. In addition, we approach every child and family with respect, explaining each step of each child's dental care in age-appropriate terms.
Benjamin Sun considers himself incredibly blessed to be doing what he loves most- working with kids! It is such a privilege to wake up each day and see the smiling faces of children from so many different walks of life, and to watch them grow up.
Dr. Sun is a proud native of Seattle, Washington. Having grown up in Shoreline, Washington, he earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Washington, and continued his graduate education at the University of Southern California, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Sun was deeply inspired by frequent dental mission trips to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala, and thus felt called to be pursue specialized training in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Sun was accepted to the highly regarded pediatric dental program at the Childrens Hospital Boston and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his residency and earned his certification in pediatric dentistry before moving back home to Seattle. He is also board certified in pediatric dentistry, a member of many dental associations, and stays current on the latest dental research.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Sun has many passions and hobbies. He especially loves spending time with wife and 2 children, Dylan and Naomi, whether it be hiking, watching the Seahawks, or traveling the world. He is also the proud father to the famous tooth-brushing pug, Tyson! Dr. Sun is very active in his church and serves as a counselor for the youth group together with his wife. He also enjoys playing basketball, biking, and enjoying good food!

Combining a passion for working with children and specialized training and board certification as a pediatric dentist, I am dedicated to providing proper oral healthcare for children throughout their stages of childhood from infancy through adolescence.

I couldn't trust anybody with my children's teeth than Dr. Sun, he's just so attentive and makes my kids feel very comfortable I've been assisting this dentistry since my son was two years old now he's 14 Same with my daughter now she's seven. The staff is always so friendly. I just love it there!

Update: our kids are now almost 4 and 5.5 years old! We are still very happy with their caring gentle approach, effective treatments, and their continuing education for us parents!(2022) What an amazing and comforting experience for our two year old!! So happy to have found this place!!(2019)

Today my 9 year old went to get a sealant. They found a cavity and Dr. Sun came to take care of it. He looked at me and said "we are going to have to use laughing gas is that OK?" I responded by saying "well whatever will make my son feel more comfortable as you fill his cavity sounds good." What Dr. Sun didn't say was that most insurance companies don't cover laughing gas and when I left the building I was charged $140. I felt totally blindsided. I didn't think it was fair NOT to say anything about the out of pocket cost. I told the woman at the front desk and she said "you're right normally we do better than this." There is no question that Dr. Sun is a great dentist however I wished he would not have assumed that I had no problem paying $140.00 to get out of his office today.

Immediately walking in we were greeted with smiles. All encountered staff were very friendly and informative. Dr. Sun was delightful. He is so great with children, even singing while doing my daughters exam. I couldn't have imagined a better first dental experience for my 1 year old daughter.

Dr. Sun and his team are literally the best pediatric dentist. He is so kind, encouraging, and thoughtful. My daughter has severe anxiety around needles and procedures and Dr. Sun made the baby tooth extraction simple and painless! So amazing.

Dr. Sun and everyone who works at Pacific Pediatric Dentisty are so amazing. Our kids actually ask to go to the dentist and think it is too long between visits. When our two year old bumped his tooth Dr. Sun took care of him with kindness and so much care. Dr. Sun makes sure to really explain what is happening with the kids teeth, how to brush and floss more effectively and what might be an area of concern later. It never feels like he is rushing us out and he puts the kids at ease talking and singing to them the whole time.

Nothing but great experiences with Dr. Sun and his team. Friendly and kind, they do a great job managing our kids oral health. We've had some procedures done recently and they explain everything to the kids and parents, very gentle and efficient with minimal discomfort. You can tell Dr. Sun really cares about his patients, I was surprised he even called later in the day to check in. 100% would recommend him and his team.
