As a computer engineer, Dr. Jean-Paul Banh was part of the original design team for the Intel Pentium IV through the Intel Core i7. He understands and appreciates the use of technology. His love of technology allows him to stay in touch with the latest cutting edge dental techniques and technology. His engineering background also enables him to use technology to enhance patients' experience at the dental office.
His practice is all digital. You do not have to fill out any paperworks. We uses digital Xray sensors for immediate images and minimal radiation. We also have a digital 3D scan to enable us better visualize your tooth during extraction and/or root canals. We also use digital 3D scan to make a surgical guide for dental implants. This decreases the discomfort and pain for patients while increasing the accuracy and safety during implant placement. We also use the leading and best dental equipments, such as Morita Root ZX, Dentsply Cavitron, Dentsply dual calamus, W&H Implant motor, and etc. All operatories are equipped with an intra-oral camera and large monitor screen to educate patients about their teeth.
He also wants to use his technical knowledge to educate, improve, and promote oral health. He has created many dental programs. All of his dental programs are free to download, and have all been well received by users worldwide. During his spare time, he is working on creating more programs. Dr. Jean-Paul Banh is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Prior to his dental education, he graduated from the nationally acclaimed Computer Engineering Department at the University of Washington. He worked at Intel as a microprocessor design engineer and tech lead. During his tenure, he designed numerous microprocessors (from Pentium 4 to the Core i7) and received many departmental and divisional awards for innovation and leadership.
He decided to go back to school and follow his dream of becoming a dentist. He got accepted to some of the most prestigious dental schools, such as UCSF and UW. He decided to remain a husky. During dental school, Dr. Banh was elected by the student body to be the Class Vice President. He was selected by the Dean of the dental school to be a member of the Clinical Systems Task Force, which was charged with revamping clinical education and patient treatment. He led the outreach program at the Union Gospel Mission Dental clinic, which provides free dental care to the homeless population of Seattle. He was the recipient of many dental awards and scholarships, including the Charles V Callihan Memorial Scholarship, Donald E. Compaan Service Scholarships, and Psi Omega Scholarships. He also took many electives, including Honors Perio, Advanced Endo, Tucker Gold, Gold Foils, Internal Medicine, Conscious Sedation, and Oral Surgery. He is an strong advocate for continuous learning, expanding dental knowledge, and improving skill sets. Since graduating, he has taken courses on orthodontics, implantology, sedation, oral surgery, sleep apnea, radiology, botox, and more.
Dr. Banh is passionate about promoting good dental health and increasing access to quality and affordable dental care. He strives to build a long and trusting relationship with his patients, and provides honest advice and great quality dental care. He and his staff are committed to addressing every patient's concerns and anxieties while fostering a pressure-free environment where patients feel stress-free, cared for, and at ease.
Dr. Banh likes to educate not only patients but future dentists. He is an affiliate instructor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He also supervises dental students at the Union Gospel Mission Dental Clinic and other UW related community dental outreach programs.

Our original dentist is located in Seattle and we moved to Auburn about 7 years ago. We have been searching for a potential new dentist/dental clinic so we don't have to drive too far and I'm glad I found Pacific NW Dentistry. I immediately scheduled an appointment for my husband after reading the good reviews as he had an availability first and told him to let me know what he thinks about his whole experience before I schedule an appointment for myself. He only had good things to say about his whole experience--and I second that from my own experience too. From scheduling an appointment,communication, and having the procedures we had done, everything was great! Victoria is really nice, friendly, and a great communicator. She helped me schedule the appointment that I needed before my insurance expired which helped a lot. Dr. Banh and Gabby were great and made me feel at ease and comfortable the whole time. I especially love the ambiance and how the type of music that you like is part of the new patient questionnaire that they have you fill out--i think this is a great idea and it helps :). I have been to many dental clinics too and this place by far has the most hi-tech and modern equipments that I've seen in this kind of setting which is pretty cool. The office is clean and they also assured us that they sanitize and clean everything after each patient visit which is a huge factor, especially from a healthcare professional's perspective and from everyone's I would think. I usually don't do reviews but I had to for this place and the staff. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to establish care or transfer care like us, you won't regret it. I bring my brother in who is an older man and has always been afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Banh is very understanding and takes great care in explaining with photos and images for my brother and myself to understand what can be down and our options with such care and kindness. This is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. Super friendly and personable dr and staff. Really make you feel that your health and you are important to them. I'm going here with my two kids, and found out today that they also to orthodontics in office. Highly recommended!

Clean facility with professional and friendly staff and by far the best Dentist I've ever had working on my teeth. I highly recommend Pacific NW Dentistry and already have to my mom, husband and will soon bring in my kids as well. Don't pass this place up if your in need of any dental work.

Absolutely the best dentist I have had thus far. I've had 3 dentists since I was 3 years old - my first having retired when I was in high school and therefore I had to switch a few times after. I had extreme mouth pain caused by newly receding gums as well as a couple chipped fillings that happened during my pregnancy. I went to 2 dentists to address my concerns however both were unable to treat the issue with my teeth sensitivity from dentin exposure. Through Dr. Banh, I was able to learn that my teeth have an odd genetic anomaly that exposed a small portion of my pre-molars on the side, where there is no enamel protection and therefore caused extreme sensitivity to cold and hot foods, even semi-cold water, and regular teeth brushing. Both the other 2 dentists I previously went to said there was nothing they could do even though I was able to research and find out there are some temporary methods available to help ease the pain (i.e. dental sealants). Per my husband's recommendation, I decided to meet with Dr. Banh. They were able to get me an emergency appointment the day after I called expressing my concerns. From there, Dr. Banh went over my x-rays (2D and 3D) as well as taking actual pictures inside my mouth to investigate and help explain what could be happening. He has incredible bedside manner and really takes the time to listen to your concerns and gives you the best possible option(s) with the least amount of physical trauma being done to your teeth. Thanks to his recommendations, I was able to get some temporary dental sealants applied (sealants lasts ~2-3 mo depending), and I felt IMMEDIATE relief after having dealt with this for 3+ weeks. I am FINALLY able to comfortably eat again thanks to him! I definitely plan to continue seeing him for all my dental needs/cleanings, and have already recommended my family and friends to transfer to him as well.

As a healthcare worker myself, I would highly recommend Pacific NW Dentistry for anyone who is needing dental work done! Dr. Banh and the whole team provide the highest quality patient care that anyone could ask for. Victoria, who is super amazing, was able to schedule me in on short notice to see Dr. Banh for a tooth and gum pain situation that I had going on. After having such an amazing experience here, I decided to come back and get my crown done that I needed. Dr. Banh and Gabriela made all my procedures painless, informative, and fun! I feel at ease coming here and can't wait to get future dental work done from their amazing team.

I have been going to this practice since 2017. The office is open on Saturday and it is super clean. They have been taking extra precautions with Covid-19. The staff is very friendly, Victoria, the front desk, greets you in and Amanda, the dental assistant, takes good care of you. They have high tech equipment (massage chair, personal music selection, digital scanner, 3D x-ray and much more.......). It is really cool. I had cleanings, filings and did the Invisalign with them and I am very happy with all the services. 5 stars team!!!! Highly recommend the practice.

Dr Banh and his staff are excellent. I love his explanation and how he show the changes of my teeth with the top of the line technology. With his expertise, I did invisalign treament and I couldn't be happier with the result. He guided me through the whole process. On top of that,, Maggie, the hygienist is very knowledgeable and efficient as well. I highly recommend this dental office to everyone.

Thanks to Pacific NW Dentistry, I was able to get past my dental fear. The first time I went in, I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years. The staff is all kind and helpful, they explain what they are doing every step of the way, and they do what they can to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They give you the option of listening to the music of your choice which is nice. They also take tooth pictures so you can see the work being done, and you never feel like you're having unnecessary work done. They offer reminder texts and calls as well. I won't go to any other dentist as long as Dr. Banh has his practice! Highly recommend.
