Dr. Rappaport may be technically skilled, but he does not show care for his patients. During my procedure, he talked about me like I wasn't there - maybe he is used to sedation dentistry. When I needed to get my final, permanent crown my dentist wasn't able to take the impression or seat the crown because there wasn't enough space in the gum tissue. At that point, Dr. Rappaport was impossible to get a hold of and acted like he didn't know anything about my situation or my mouth -- even though he himself said there may not be enough space in the gum and he should maybe put a larger healing cap in there. I feel disrespected and discounted.

The absolute best experience for the type of work I was having done. Everyone in the office has always been super pleasant to work with and has gone out of their way to make sure I was taken care of each step of the way. Thank you!

I highly recommend Dr. Darrin Rapoport at Pacific Northwest Periodontics. I had a sinus lift and then 9 months later dental implants. You would be in very capable hands with Dr. Rapoport. His office staff is very good. What has impressed me the most, besides the skill of Dr. Rapoport, is his communication and the time he takes with you as a patient. He does what he says he will do. If he tells you, "I will call you tomorrow" he will call you, not his staff. This is very rare in today's environment where you hear directly from the doctor.

I would give 10 stars if I could for the quality of dental care provided by Dr. Schuler and his team. It is because of his skill that I had the option to not get dentures many years ago. I will be forever grateful. Many times the practitioner may be amazing but there is less quality staff assisting them. This is NOT true with this staff! Nettie was professional, skilled and made me feel cared for. As someone who has spent more time in a dental chair than I can count, having someone like Nettie be the assistant is just another example of how this office puts patients first. Thanks to all of you, Carole

I've had two implants done by Pacific Northwest Periodontic and I am In the process of getting a third. This team has done excellent work in all phases of the implant surgeries. I'm coming back to them for the third issue because they did a great job with the first two implants. I've had zero issues since having the procedure. Highly recommend them if you are considering an implant.

I had gingival grafts done by Dr. Schuler where tissue was harvested from the roof of my mouth and used to cover gum line recession. The result is beautiful. The color matches perfectly with a superbly scalloped edge. The surgery itself was completely painless. The recovery experience was very quick and had very little discomfort. I only used Advil to control the possibility of pain and there was none. Just a little discomfort. The staff is very professional and caring. The clinic is immaculately clean with very strict Covid protocols. I would recommend Dr. Schuler to everyone. He is kind, gentle, works fast and extremely skilled at what he does. My husband is a well known dentist in the city and Dr. Schuler is who he picked to do my surgery. I am so happy with these results.

This office incentivizes patients to write good reviews for $50 credit in return. I am providing a realistic review of my experience here. Short version: November 2019, I received a gum graft. Due to mistakes, I needed to come back to the office and had received a repeat gum graft procedure in March 2020. Due to administrative errors, I was unable to go under for the second procedure and experienced major pain during and after the gum graft. The office culture was toxic, was unable to answer simple questions, and had terrible customer service. Long version: I received consultation and a gum graft procedure in November 2019. I went in for my follow up appointment in December 2019, as this is a normal protocol for getting checked on after a procedure. The periodontist let me know that the procedure did not work, and that I would have to go through a repeat surgery to correct the errors after my gums recovered. Of course, these were not worded as errors, but when I was told I would get my second "retry" for free, one could only assume (this is also following an opinion check from another periodontist in Seattle looking at the photos after as well). I couldn't afford to go somewhere else and pay for another gum graft procedure, so I had requested the periodontist that owns the practice to perform the next one. During the first procedure, I was put under anesthesia and was not given direction to not eat before - I had eaten, nothing adverse happened. The second procedure (March 2020), I came in the day of, and the staff let me know that I could not go under anesthesia because I had eaten that morning. The technician laughed in discomfort when I had told them that last time I ate before and was told that was fine. Additionally, the other nurse/technician was extremely rude, cutting people off, yelling at other staff and speaking loudly to intimidate others on her team. This of course did not show when she was around the doctors. The periodontist that conducted my second procedure did not make eye contact and did not have any intention of greeting me before. I was put under, and he completed the procedure and left. Because the second time I was not under anesthesia, I could hear exactly what was going on during the procedure. The doctor was talking about his friends, talking to someone that stopped by the room, and did not feel like he was paying much attention while operating. Also, because I was not under, I was in extreme pain throughout the entire experience. When the procedure was over, I asked for pain medicine and the rude nurse/technician (described above) kept forgetting until I raised my voice 25 minutes later. Following the second procedure, I had visited another periodontist office for a follow up appointment, so the doctor could check the work done. The doctor from a separate practice mentioned that the second gum graft was fine, but the recovery tools that I was given were outdated. This other periodontist not affiliated was so kind to teach me better ways to relieve blood clots, etc., which made a more comfortable recovery period. I should not have had to see another office to confirm that my second gum graft was adequate. Ti-Ti (I think that is how her name is spelled) was the only employee in the office that showed kindness and stellar patient bedside manner. If she is reading this, then she should know she deserves better working conditions and should move on from this practice to work somewhere that is not toxic. During the first procedure consultation, pricing was transparent, and I did not face any charges that were unanticipated. However, a gum graft with my quality insurance was $2k out of pocket. Because this is so expensive, I felt it was necessary to write a review, so others shop around other periodontist offices in the area. If patients pay this much for dental treatments, then it should come with high quality and great patient bedside manner.

As always, Claire did a great job of cleaning my teeth. She is very caring. I don't think anyone likes to have their teeth cleaned (at least I don't), but she makes it as pleasant as possible.

One of my front teeth was chiped ten years ago. As a result of the initial trauma the bone around my tooth has deteriorated. I thought I was going to loose my tooth and need to have an implant replacement. When Dr. Rapaport did his examination I knew I came to the right place. During the examination he probed my gums. Typically this is very uncomfortable for me. When Dr Rapaport probed my gums I barely felt what he was doing. Dr Rapaport explained everything to me that was happening with my tooth. I was very comfortable with his explanation and very relieved to hear that my tooth might be saved. I have a few follow up visits to see if the bone grows back. I am grateful that Dr. Rapaport was honest with me about my saving my tooth. Even if my tooth can't be saved I know I am getting the best possible care.

3 receptionists of this office had helped me in my past few appointments regarding my treatment plan. 2 out the 3 were really terrible. The 2 receptionists just gave me the impression of they are there to collect the money and swipe your credit card but not welcoming you to the office and not even offering smiles or any other comforts....at the end of the day, this is a health care office....patients are there for a reason and that is they need help getting back in shape....but all I can feel is distance, business.....and neither of them provide detailed answers when asked, always very short and rush....didn't i made an appointment to address my concerns? And one of them even said to me " this is a 30mins only appointment" and guess what, she said it to me only 3mins into the meeting....what a shame...so much could have been done differently and better..

The staff are extremely thorough, kind and courteous. Dr Rapoport has great patient care and takes the time to explain the procedure. He even called me on a Friday might to make sure I was doing okay. I have had another oral surgeon in the past with no bedside manner so this was a wonderful change...they CARE!

Way beyond 5 Stars! Best health investment I've ever spent. I wish I had known sooner. BTW, in response to a review I just saw. I was never offered a gift card for writing a review for this office. It was just my experience.
