If not for a fateful encounter with a sandwich, Dr. Aja Hall may have never discovered her true calling. Biting too hard into a heavy meal, a fourteen-year-old Dr. Hall injured herself, leading to a painful, lingering case of lockjaw.
Dr. Hall's career has been guided by twin desires to heal people and create beauty in the world. As a world-class cosmetic dentist, she has the opportunity to do both on a daily basis. She strives to create an environment where her patients feel safe and comfortable. Perpetually challenging herself to master the latest dental techniques, she creates stunning dentistry that perfectly mimics nature.
Dr. Hall's compassion for her patients extends far beyond the Pacific Heights Dental office. As a member of the US Army reserves, she works with soldiers and veterans, donating her skills to those in need. She's traveled to places like Ecuador and the Philippines as part of the Pacific Dental Mission, providing primary dental care to these underserved populations. She's organized fundraisers for pediatric and senior medical programs and continues to volunteer and mentor at organizations around the Bay Area. All of this has led to her becoming the premier dentist in San Francisco.
In her free time, Dr. Hall enjoys spending time with her niece and nephews, traveling the world, discovering the best new sushi spots, and baking treats. Her love for her hometown runs deep and can be seen in both her personal and professional lives. The San Francisco dentist team that she has built at Pacific Heights Dental understands the importance of community and brings that compassionate care to every patient.
Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Madison Sico has been working on her aspiration to help those in need. She spent many years giving back to those less fortunate amongst local charities and focused on her studies. She attended Texas Tech University where she concentrated on Chemistry and Biology.
After college, she ventured onto Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and continued her education through The General Practice Residency Program at the VA Health Care Center in Palo Alto, California.
This intense training at the VA Health Care Center allowed her to treat a wide range of patients from clinical to operating room settings and enabled the development of her methodical approach towards problem-solving.
Dr. Sico is passionate about creating a great patient experience and takes the time to get to know each patient. She is focused on clear communication and appropriately setting expectations so that patients can make informed decisions about their dental health. As Herb Caen mentions, she wants to avoid any of her patients bit[ing] off more than [they] can chew. She strives to provide calm, quality care focused on comprehensive oral health.
Dr. Eriksen is a Bay Area native who graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Biology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Eriksen completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Since graduating, she has continued to learn advanced techniques in general dentistry through her involvement in the Partnership Study Club in and the Contra Costa Dental Society. She is passionate about her work in dentistry and aims to deliver beautiful smiles alongside comprehensive care to all her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Eriksen enjoys skiing, baking, and staying active. She loves exploring and finding new museums, parks, and restaurants. On her days off, Dr. Eriksen is usually spending time with friends or hiking with her two Australian shepherds Bourbon and Posey.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Hashimoto received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific School of dentistry in San Francisco, California. He then completed a residency in Periodontics at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in New York.

I have been seeing Teena for years for my teeth cleaning. She is the ultimate professional, handling me with a gentle skilled hand and telling me what she was doing at every step of the cleaning process. My experience with the dentists in this office has been equally impressive.

First time with Dr Eriksen and hygienist Tina. X-rays are always a bit mysterious, but the 3-D imaging of my teeth and photos of problem areas were great tools to clearly show me the areas of decay and then discuss options for repair or preventative treatment. The photos also made it abundantly clear how much tartar had built up while I was neglecting getting my teeth cleaned since pre-pandemic. Tina was very thorough and kind about what had to be quite a project scraping off all that tartar. My teeth looked great when she was done and I was not hurting or bleeding, so she deserves 6 stars. I made an appointment for a 6 month cleaning right as I left...Overall a great experience!

My first visit to Pacific Heights Dental has led to the positive conclusion that I have found what I was seeking - a dental group, convenient to my home, using state-of-the-art equipment and practices. Jackie skillfully executed full mouth gag-free x-rays. Dr. Annelise Ericksen conducted a thorough examination (including checking for signs of oral cancer) with clear explanations, images, and proposals for a comprehensive treatment plan. Bonus: a view of Mother Nature from my exam chair! Next visit: Scaling sounds unappealing, even scary. However, when the dentist is as skilled as Dr. Annelise Eriksen, you are in good hands!

Mindy is fabulous. I highly recommend her. I was very disappointed to hear that Dr. Sico has left the practice. She was the best dentist that I've had since Peter Jacobsen retired.

0% of integrity : I'm a new client to Pacific Height Dental, I made my first appointment to fix filling NOT for cleaning, NOT for anything else. On the day of service, they did the cleaning without prior notice, I felt it was okay as long as will have a long-term relationship with them. We made a second appointment to have filling, and they told me that they will send me a copy of the treatment plan including the insurance coverage and co-payment if needed. i came today to my appointment and they AMBUSHED me with a treatment plan, and they asked me to pay first. I decided to leave them because I felt this was an unprofessional and unethical practice. It was really very bad experience

I saw Tina the hygienist many yrs ago at this ofc, & I was lucky to have her as my hygienist again yesterday. I miss Dr. Jacobson who retired, but such a treasure to still have access to such a spectacular hygienist.

Worst dentist office in San Francisco. The front end staff is snippy and rude and when you call to make an appt they hang up on you. The dentist on duty is fresh out of school and is just trying to do the bare minimum of work. Plus, the office looks dumpy. I suggest anyone looking for a dentist to look elsewhere, wish I could have told myself that sooner but hopefully this saves other people time and experience.I've chosen to use my Indian name for privacy but I indeed was a client here. But as you can see by the response delusional and passive aggressive is what you'll pay top dollar for.

Dr. Hall is the BEST dentist I've ever been to! She told me exactly what was wrong and got right to working on my mouth. I have severe dental anxiety, and she made me feel so much calmer and made it as painless as possible! Highly recommend!!!

I flew into San Fran for work and lost a crown on the flight over and they saw me with an emergency appt right after I landed. She did a great job, they were very thorough and took time to explain things to me. Fixed me up and sent me on my way. I only wish I had a dentist office like them at home.
