Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

Where do I even start? I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for how well my visit with Dr. Pintor went. She came out to greet me which I've never had before and was so gentle and really down to earth making me feel at ease for all the work I knew I needed. She never upsold me on any unnecessary procedures and even did my deep cleaning same day which was amazing and my teeth have never felt cleaner. They were honest about what my insurance covered and helped me understand my coverage.This office has found a patient for life and I will refer all of my friends and family here.

Quick tooth cleaning; done by dentist in a hurry who left the room after without any conversation. Hygienist came in to polish after about a 10 minute wait. She was also in a hurry. Rinsed my entire mouth leaving g a mouthful of water before getting the suction tool. Very unpleasant

I am a new patient here and the staff is amazing! I am someone who absolutely hates going to the dentist, but everyone here put me at ease and reassured me that I would be taken care of. My hygienist Debbie was fantastic and took my fear of the dentist into consideration while doing my cleaning. Shawna also did a great job communicating to me what my insurance will take care of and even took the time to schedule my next four appointments! Great team at this location!

Pacific Harbor assisted me at a high, professional level in the midst of a dental crisis. I had to transfer offices from Northern Cali and the team was nothing less than immediately communicative and empathetic. Belinda in the front office was nothing short of fantastic in getting me organized with my last second appointment and understanding fully the wild process I had been through with other offices. She's a pure gem. She even went as far to find me a last second appointment with an oral surgeon the SAME day as my appointment with them since their surgeon wasn't in the office that day AND checked on me days later after I had established care at this other office. First visit good, after that not good. Billed me for work not completed, then sent me to collections. Wont answer my calls, emails or registered letters sent. I've been asking for months to send me all their docs in my file so I can go to small claims court and file with the Better Business Bureau to complain

New patient here... this place is awesome. Everyone I met from the front desk to Dr. Nguyen was professional and down to earth. Super clean office and examination rooms, hi-tech modern equipment, and an atmosphere that puts you at ease. The music they pump throughout the office is pretty cool too. Already scheduled my 6 month check-up and will refer friends and family to this place without hesitation. When everyone in the office seems 'glad to be there', and confident in what they do, you know you're in great hands.

I was brand new to this office yesterday. I had a great experience. They did not try to sell me anything!!! They did not say I was doomed and my mouth needed a lot of work!!!! I was greeted by the sweetest receptionist. Taken back to have x-rays, exam, and a cleaning. I was in and out in about 40 minutes. The benefits coordinator is going to send me a treatment plan to work - that I am requesting. I had a bad experience at the last office I was at. I take very good care of my oral hygiene. They told me I had all kinds of issues to get me to pay out of pocket for treatments that I did not need. If you want a basic dentist that will continue to care for your oral health without trying to get you to do a bunch of unnecessary work try this office. I was seen by Dr. Nguyen and am completely happy with my service and treatment. Thank you Pacific Harbor Dental Group!!

With a recent change in dental insurance, I chose Pacific Dental due to its proximity to my house and some of the reviews that I read. I sold dental lasers for 10 years and my son is a dentist in New York so I have pretty high standards. I was not prepared to be impressed but from the moment I walked in and met Jovie at the front desk until I walked out the door two hours later (after a thorough new patient exam with x-rays and an incredibly meticulous scaling and laser anti- bacterial cleaning) I knew I found my new dental practice. I highly recommend Dr. Ellen Luu who explained everything that she thought would eventually need treating but did not pressure me into doing it but did suggest the benefits and for hygiene, you can do no better than Julie Nguyen, RDH, who had a nice light touch but my teeth sparkled when I left. If any of you know dental technology, you will be impressed with the fact that they have a dental laser and a Cerec machine that can create a crown in the office.

I hate going to the dentist. No like seriously CRINGE at the thought of stepping into a dentist office. I've been to over 6 different offices and have had really awful care to really mediocre care. That being said, I can't speak highly enough of this place. I broke my tooth on the night before Xmas eve and had to wait till the day after Xmas to get it fixed. I called eeevvvvverywhere and these guys were the only ones that squeezed me in... I checked the reviews and got a little nervous but let me tell you, the people writing the reviews about this place must be a bit miserable in general lol. My experience was so good. So good in fact, that I'm writing my very first review. They had sleepy time tea which I was stoked on The energy was relaxed and comforting They REALLY worked with my financial situation which was such a relief cuz I'm moving in a week Tiffany answered every question I had! She also worked quick and efficient. I can't recommend them enough. I seldom go to the same dentist because I always leave bummed. But this time I left feeling relieved and SO happy I took a chance trying pacific harbor out!!

December 4th, 2019 Hey all! I just had a check up with the dental group. As long as YOU know what's going on and ask them the right questions you will be fine. They were kind as usual although my needs to receive thorough details was unexpected for them - probably. Just make sure you know what you're doing, contact your insurance and keep in touch with the dental group and there will most likely be no wrong happening. They were kind enough to give me a copy of everything, consents and procedure plans. They even gave me free toothpaste that prevents gum from bleeding along with general toothbrush.
