5 star dentist office!!! My husband and I have been going to Dr. Shin for over 10 years. First and foremost he is a gentle and skilled dentist. All his staff are kind and caring from the time you walk in the door to the hygienists. Grace is the most gentle and skilled hygienist I have ever encountered. I actually look forward to my next cleaning.

Dr. Shin has been my personal dentist for well over 15 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and very skilled at his profession. He has gentle hands and always shows consideration for his patients, which is important when a procedure may cause discomfort. And though it may sound odd, he gives the best shots. I have seldom felt much discomfort when shots had to be administered.

Ive been very apprehensive about going to the dentist but after talking with my boyfriend and reading the reviews I made an appointment. I was still nervous since the last time I saw a dentist it was a very unpleasant experience. Dr.Shin and his staff make you feel very welcome, like family. Everyone is so nice and understanding and for that I highly, highly recommend going here.

If you have not been as careful with your smile over the years for whatever reason, this is the place to visit. This review is for the person who hasn't been to a dentist for awhile... Lack of insurance (or money when I had high deductible insurance) left me in a bad way for a long time. I found zero judgement here when I came in. I was upfront and honest about my dental history and received nothing but encouragement for my decision to get serious about my teeth. My first appointment was much like a consult. We did x-rays and got an idea of what work needed to occur. Then, they came up with a custom plan for my care tailored for my needs! If you're not someone who's visited dentists often, this is a step above. Knowing the roadmap of my future care is great! Grace was who I saw for my first deep cleaning and let me tell you, she was professional, low anxiety, confident, and didn't do that thing that dentists sometimes do where they ask you lots of questions while you have five instruments in your mouth! Haha But it's not just Grace, y'all. Lisa at the front desk is a scheduling wizard, and Dr. Shin is so calm and friendly! If you're skittish about dentists, they'll ask you why and listen. If you need accomodations, they're willing to see if they can meet them. --If you've avoided the work and are ready to be accountable and do the adulting, this is the place, my friends.--

I had a great cleaning experience which was mostly painless with a very professional staff concerned of my well being. I felt I was with family who scheduled my next appointment with ease from the dentist chair. My teeth was diagnosed quickly and explained to my understanding. thanks for the attention to detail.

Very friendly. Due to lacking adequate dental insurance coverage, it had been a long time since I had been to a dentist. Dr. Shin didn't make me feel guilty. He was very thorough but gentle at the same. And the receptionist, Bethany, was very nice as well (though I heard that she is leaving soon). I look forward to continuing to see them for the foreseeable future.

Excellent service. Very thorough examination with a proper explanation of any trouble area. Definitely will recommend to new patients. Dental hygienist was very informative sharing all proper techniques for dental health. Shared matter of fact reasons why Dr. was trained and schooled to place bone graft after extraction for future implants. All and all very satisfied with the staff and Dr. At Pacific Family Dentristy.

The dentist is wonderful but the bulk of the staff is lacking basic skill set for their positions. The front desk overcharged me on my high fluoride toothpaste (paid out of pocket, no insurance) having to credit me on my next visit. I wanted to have some of my dental care split between insurance coverage years when scheduling but was assurred by the front desk that my insurance would cover $1500 of the cost and I would only owe ~$500. I received adjusted insurance billing of more than the original amount paid months later. I had never experienced this kind of mishap in billing from a family practice because they actually looked at how my coverage was broken down vs the sum of coverage the insurance offered. One dental assistant installed a temporary crown that stayed in place less for than 48 hours while the other dental assistant had the skill and ability to reinstall it so it stayed in place until my permanent crown came in weeks later. I had to hold my the poorly installed temporary crown in place with toothpaste to keep from exposing nerves until I could get another appointment the next week. This is my first experience going to a franchise dental chain and I am going back to my roots of visiting a private family owned dental practice. The quality of service recieved from a family practice far exceeds that of a franchise chain.
