Dr. Yao-Lin Tangs formative years were spent on the island nation of his birth, Taiwan, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Dental Surgery. He later ventured to California to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Pacific School of Dentistry, and began his first practice in 1995. He has over twenty years of practical knowledge in cosmetic and general dentistry.Far flung endeavors across the world have flavored Dr. Tangs professional and personal experiences. In 1994, he has acted as a professional mentor at the Sirona CEREC Train the Trainer, held in Bensheim, Germany, wherein he shares his knowledge in CEREC CAD/CAM Restoration Systems and Digital Radiographytechnology at the forefront of his current practice in San Mateo, California. Further, he is a mentor at CERECdoctors.com, a Patterson certified CEREC trainer, and a Co-Leader at the CEREC study club of Taiwan.Still, Yao-Lin finds time for the finer things: Moments spent exploring abroad with his family, a passion for photography, andnow and thena fantastic round of golf.
Dr. Brittany Quach is from Southern California and has known she wanted to pursue dentistry ever since she was a young girl. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable, creating meaningful relationships and giving patients confidence through beautiful smiles.
Dr. Quach graduated from Brown University in Providence, RI earning a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Louisville. Dr. Quach previously served as an International Ambassador to Poland for her school and has completed mission trips to Belize. Dr. Quach is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and San Mateo Dental Society.

I am not happy with Dr. Tang. Get in and get out total 12 minutes for a regular cleaning including nurse polishing teeth. This is not the first time and I think I will definitely find another dentist next time. I don't think he cares much about patient.

My mom went to see Dr. Tang for the very first time, check up and cleaning. Mom had a big abscess from a tooth that was already extended and pushing out pus from the roof of her mouth and Dr. Tang did nothing!!! I was astound that even I, an untrained person, can see how this is a serious problem already after she returned from Dr. Tang's dental visit, and for an elderly person, this type of infection is especially risky for major complications. The pus should have been drained and cleaned immediately and followed by a treatment plan. Instead, my mom had to ask for antibiotics while he send her away. I was astound how Dr. Tang's handled my mom. Fortunately we were able to find a professional dentist to treat her as an emergency the very next day. An infection that was this deep rooted should have been diagnosed and treated, not ignored and set aside like Dr. Tang did. It can continue and affect the deep tissues and go up to the bone level we were told. Thankfully we found another doctor to help mom to treat this infection quickly, otherwise she could have been suffering much worse complications. In my opinion Dr. Tang is a terrible dentist, and he seems careless about his patient's health. If you care about your health, be aware and go somewhere else.

I booked an appointment for cleaning and they did the x-rays and consultation and postponed the cleaning to next time and told me only the end of the appointment that they will clean in the next appointment.

I scheduled with Dr. Tang for filling teeth, but when I arrived Dr. Tang was helping another patient and let another doctor do my filling. I told them I have a heart problem but they didn't notice and want to do 4 teeth filling at the same time. They gave me pain medicine and after my heart started very fast and I felt very uncomfortable and need to rest about 5 minutes. I never have had that bad experience before. Won't suggest anyone who considers visiting their office.

Had a filling done half a year ago and there has been pain in my tooth ever since. Pretty angry with the lady who did my filling as she didn't seem to know what she was doing. After 3 separate visits of scraping and drilling, they are still unable to determine the cause. I sought Dr. Tang's help as he had the most experience, but he refused to do my filling unless I purchased the higher costing procedure.

Overall an excellent experience. I am the type of person that tries to avoid the dentist at all costs, but Dr. Tang and his staff made me feel very comfortable. I've visited the office a handful of times and the quality of work is top-notch. I think this is the go-to place for cosmetic work in the area. The technology and Dr. Tang's knowledge of how to leverage it is second-to-none. I was able to take a couple of pics of the equipment they use! I will continue to visit and recommend my friends to visit Pacific Dental.

Due to insurance changes, I was forced to leave my dentist of over 10 years. I tried one dentist in San Mateo and discovered how poor some dentists really are. Then I dug in, did my research, and found Dr. Tang. These guys and gals are great. I couldn't ask for better dental care than I'm receiving here.

High performance dentist clinic with very reasonable charge. A clean and modern clinic operated by a strongly professional team. The people worked in the front desk are organized. They handled multiple telephone calls and check-in from the patients at the same time in a professional manner. Dr. Tang, my dentist, provided quality service with his excellent experience, skills, knowledge and cool equipment. It is definitely a firm that cares about their clients.
