Pacific Dental Associates was founded in 1985 as part of the concept of the California Pacific Medical Center. Our San Francisco dentists all have university backgrounds and/or affiliations; in fact, most of our dentists were or are teaching at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. As a multi-specialty dental office that focuses on comprehensive care, we continue to be a model for dental healthcare delivery. The partners forming Pacific Dental Associates have been together since the 1980s, and so has most of our staff. We see ourselves as one big family, and this sense of partnership is felt through our passion to deliver excellent dental care, upon which our reputation has been built.
Our Pacific Heights dentists promise to provide a standard of excellence throughout your whole treatment process. Excellence at Pacific Dental Associates begins with our first meeting with you, where we take a detailed medical history, complete a thorough examination, with radiographs (x-rays), photographs, take and molds of your teeth as needed. In order to provide this high standard of care, we listen to you, learn your perspective, and understand your concerns and expectations before we establish a personalized treatment plan. We are here to provide advice to better your oral health, whether you need simple filling or full mouth rehabilitation that may includedental implants. Our purpose is to provide comprehensive dental care that establishes complete oral health, aesthetics, and function.

My doctor is Dr Gabriela Pina and her Dental assistant Emily. I appreciate Dr Pina so much because she is super thorough and takes her time so that she doesn't miss anything. She always checks in to ask if I'm ok the whole time she is working on my teeth. She made me and my daughter feel like she really cares about her patients and the health of our teeth. Great personality and energy. Like family. This combination is a rarity in my experiences with dentists. So I feel so lucky to have found this dental office. I also want to give a huge thank you to the staff at the front desk. They add a loving, bright, family oriented energy to that office. Never have I walk in there and felt unwelcoming vibes. It's always fun uplifting when I check in for my appointments and while I'm waiting to be seen. Makes a huge difference in my day. I felt really happy after my appointment today because of them. I love this dental office. Great Job pacific dental on choosing great people to work here.

If I could chose 10 stars I absolutely hands down would. I think the fact that I look forward going to the dentist with GREAT pleasure says it all. To provide some context for this review, I'm someone who has had extensive and complicated dental work performed over decades and been a patient with top rated media featured doctors across the country including NYC, Boston, SF and Miami, so I feel I have a breadth of experience to draw comparisons. I'm a patient of Dr. Irene Chen, who is BY FAR the best dentist I've ever had. She's an absolute GEM and truly cares about her patients. I came to her after spending a fortune and countless hours of misery being treated by a dentist that was featured in a magazine, listed as a top doctor, etc. Through her expert nurturing care, she was able to quickly and adeptly resolve all of the problems I suffered with for years and for the first time, I can smile joyously! From the moment you meet Dr. Chen and her absolutely lovely assistant, Monica, you know you're receiving the best possible care available anywhere. The professionalism, genuine care, and compassion permeates every aspect of my experience. The front desk staff is amazing. Every time I visit, I find myself spending an extra 20 minutes just chatting since they're all simply wonderful! Bottomline - If you're looking for the best dental care available, go to Dr Chen. I tell people who even feel satisfied with their current dentist that it's worth switching. I promise you'll be blown away like I was and find yourself LOOKING FORWARD to going to the dentist!
