Dr. van den Berg lives in San Ramon with his daughter Simone and their two dogs Blondie and Tyler. His personal interests stem from his long-standing love of the outdoors. He can often be found cycling and hiking the trails of Mt. Diablo, kite boarding San Francisco Bay, or swimming a few miles in Lake Del Valle. He enjoys performing Improv with his friends at San Ramon ImprovU, at the Front Row Theater, and Dougherty Station Community Center in San Ramon.

As the front office coordinator, I am the go to girl when it comes to billing and working with insurance companies. I am also the first person patients meet when they walk in the door, and I meet with patients for their first orthodontic e evaluation. I love how orthodontic technology is always growing, and its exciting to see that take shape in the way we care for patients.
My husband, Jason, and I have recently bought our first home in the Valley. I have a daughter named Marissa who is my absolute pride and joy along with my little dog, Gizmo. I like to spend my free time entertaining friends and family, camping, and cheering on my favorite sports teams.
I work chairside with Dr. Van den Berg during procedures, and help wherever I can. I prepare dental materials and instruments, take X-rays, and educate patients in proper oral hygiene. I believe in keeping the atmosphere of the office peaceful and relaxing to make sure our patients stay comfortable.

Dr. Rob is just amazing. I had the best experience receiving my orthodontics treatment. The whole Invisalign treatment of about 18 months was seamless and I am very happy about the results too. The office staff are very friendly, professional and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Rob and staff if you are looking for the best orthodontics. Hands down the best!!

My two daughters have been seeing Dr. Rob Van Den Ber for the past couple of years for orthodontics treatment. The doctor is very professional, highly experienced, have lot of patience, very friendly with kids and overall my kids had an amazing experience with the overall treatments - so far. The front desk staff are knowledgeable and very flexible to accommodate the appointment request. I highly recommend "Pacific Coast Orthodontics" for anyone looking Orthodontics treatment in the East Bay area.

We had a great experience with Dr Rob Van Dan Berg, he is very thorough with his work. My daughter had a complicated case with serious crowding in her upper jaw, it took almost 5 years for treatment, but Dr Berg guided us well through the process, the results are amazing, can't stop looking at my daughter's smile!

Highly recommended because of Great Doctor and staff. Very professional and friendly staff. Daughter loved going to this office and she always loved how Doctor and staff treated her, gave her choice for everything. Adjusted appointments to work around daughter and parents schedule. Took good care from finance angle also to ensure insurance covered necessary charges. This week daughter got of braces and got retainers. Never seen her that happy Thanks to Dr. Rob Van den Berg and staff.

LOVED my experience with Dr. Rob and his staff. Very friendly atmosphere, which makes it easy to ask any questions and have open conversations about the procedure and process. Dr. Rob is very communicative throughout each appointment, takes a consultative approach before performing any action which I think makes him a great partner to work with. Also the office staff is very responsive and works with you to get you anything you need. I can attest to this as I had to move to socal half way through my procedure and still got it done smoothly with Dr. Rob and his office staff.

Dr van-den berg is just amazing. My experience was so seamless and they were so accommodating. I had Invisalign for almost 2 years and he covered the coast of a several additional trays because he wanted my teeth straighter. I moved during my Invisalign treatment and they were so accommodating about shipping trays to me and prioritizing my appointments for when I was in town. Not to mention my results are amazing. I am forever grateful. He even recommended a dentist to do my veneers and he was amazing as well. YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO COME HERE:)

Pacific Coast Orthodontics appointments go so smoothly and painlessly that I'm always a bit surprised. Dr. Van Den Berg and his staff are very professional and really do care for their patients. They're also kind people. I definitely recommend PCO for anyone looking to get braces, invisalign, and post-treatment care in the area. Appointments during braces treatment can be frequent, so it's nice to live close to the office.

End of 2017, I was receiving Invisalign treatment from another orthodontist in the area. When he told me he needed to put in a dental crown on a perfectly healthy tooth, I realized something was wrong. I called Dr. Van for a second opinion, and after conducting a full diagnosis (which he did not charge me for, by the way), he discovered that the root of another one of my teeth had been badly bent by the original orthodontist's treatment! Dr. Van then immediately called the first orthodontist on my behalf and made it clear that he had to fix this mistake. Only when the first orthodontist refused to help without further charges, Dr. Van performed the operation himself. I am so grateful to Dr. Van for advocating on my behalf even though I was not his patient. It's clear that he is guided by doing what is right for the patient - in the end, he fixed the crooked root and saved me from installing a dental crown. Dr. Van is a professional of the highest integrity and competence, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs an orthodontist!
