Dr. Yip is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a lifelong native of Southern California. He has completed an extensive education at UCLA and USC. During this time, Dr. Yip developed an interest in oral disease and reconstruction, ultimately leading to his training in oral and maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Yip earned his dental degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2010, and he was subsequently admitted to the competitive oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at USC. He then earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at USC in 2013, and completed an internship in general surgery in 2014 at LAC+USC Medical Center.

Dr. Jeffrey Hammoudeh is one of the elite oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the United States. He has extensive experience in orthognathic surgery, including correction of dental malocclusion to help reposition and align the upper and lower jaw. Dr. Hammoudeh is also one of only a handful of surgeons that can offer the surgery first technique, which is a method of performing formal corrective jaw surgery first and doing orthodontics second.

Dr. Hammoudeh uses modern computer-aided, virtual surgical planning and three-dimensional models to show you exactly how your surgery will be approached. Using comprehensive facial x-rays and computer video imaging, we can show you how your bite will be improved and even give you an idea of how you will look after surgery. This helps you understand the surgical process and the extent of the proposed treatment. If you are a candidate for corrective jaw surgery, Dr. Hammoudeh and his team will work closely with your orthodontist during your treatment.

In addition to treating overbites, underbites, and crossbites, Dr. Hammoudeh is one of a handful of surgeons in the nation to correct moderate-to-severe sleep apnea. The procedure is known as maxillary and mandibular advancement, which is the process of moving the upper and lower jaws forward to increase the airway space. Formal orthognathic surgery has been proven to help alleviate obstructive sleep apnea, therefore eliminating the need for a CPAP device.

Dr. Hammoudeh is a recognized leader in the area of maxillofacial oncology field. He can comprehensively diagnose, treat and surgically intervene all jaw tumors and jaw cancers from its initial stage to reconstruction and rehabilitation. He has authored many book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles and lectured nationally, as well as internationally.

I put off having my wisdom tooth removed for the longest (I had major fears after my daughter had a bad experience with another dentist). I finally decided it was time when the pain was unbearable -- I had a cavity that caused the tooth to break. When I arrived, both of the women in the office were incredibly kind and welcoming. A little conversation helped distract me until I saw Dr. Kim. He was so quick and to the point that I didn't have an opportunity to work myself up. I didn't feel a single thing (besides the slightest "pinch" for the numbing injection). I honestly could not have imagined the whole experience going any better. I was numb in 2 minutes and the tooth was out in another minute. I had my eyes closed and didn't believe that they were done -- and not just getting started. Simply amazing! I'm incredibly grateful for the best experience possible under the circumstances.

I highly recommend Pacific Coast OMS! I was recently there for my daughter's wisdom teeth extraction. Dr Kim and his assistant Pearl were so thorough and kind. They explained everything carefully so that my daughter understood the whole procedure as well, and they options she had. My daughter had never had anesthetic sedation before and they made sure that she was in good shape before they released her to go home. They were kind, gentle, and reassuring. The front office lady Cindy is amazing as well. She takes care of all your questions, Appts and billing. No question is a bother. For having to have wisdom teeth extracted, they made to process a positive experience! Nancy S
