Dr. Parul Dua Makkar has completed her DDS from University of Oklahoma, and a GPR from Staten Island University Hospital. She brings over 15 years of knowledge and experience with her. Prior to moving to New York, she resided and worked in Calgary, Canada. Her aim is to address all her patients concerns that brought them to her and help them leave with a smile.She has 2 little boys that keep her quite entertained. In her spare time she loves to read, collect stamps and travel the world with her family.
Dr. Muhammad Raza grew up in New York. He has completed his DDS from NYU and a GPR program from Jamaica Hospital, Queens. At that point he decided he wanted to pursue a career in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. He joined Columbia University to complete his Postdoctoral training, where in addition to the clinical experience he obtained his Masters degree. Dr. Raza wants to stay up-to-date with evolving therapies and techniques as they relate to current practices. He has joined our team at PDM Family. In addition he is an attending at Jamaica Hospital, Queens. In his free time he enjoys swimming, traveling and spending quality time with his wife and children.
Lawana has been in the Dental field for over 22 years. She is a highly trained Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). She is passionate about getting to know all our patients and making sure that they receive quality service with special attention on helping patients maintain their dental health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, dining and spending time outdoors.

Super clean dentist office space, friendly and knowledgeable dentist office staff. Dentist Parul Dua Makkar does a great job at diagnosing dental / tooth / jaw conditions, all from general dental cleaning to crowns and more. Family dental package is pretty good. Would recommend go see dentist this dentist anytime.

Fantastic experience. Everyone from front desk Ivy to the dental assistant and dentist are just so nice. Very clean office, they are on time with appointments, you're not feeling rushed, the dentist really cares and she takes her time with you. You can tell the passion they have in this office. I won't dread coming back

i was looking for a new dental office after moving out to Long Island and I'm so happy to have found this place. Dr. Makkar and her staff are all so friendly and make you feel very comfortable and even pampered--not what anyone expects while going to the dentist! Lol. She took great care and made sure to address all of my questions and issues with patience and attention, provided adequate pain relief for my sensitive teeth to make sure I wasn't uncomfortable during the cleaning, and even asked if I had any preference for a TV program during the visit. They even gave me a hot towel for my face at the end. It's probably the closest you'll get to a spa-like experience while getting your teeth fixed :). and the whole initial visit with x rays, cleaning, check up and everything only took an hour. I look forward to coming back and bringing my little ones for their check ups as they have a dedicated pediatric dentist as well. Thanks, Dr. Makkar!

from the minute I walked in the door and was greeted by Ivy, the office manager, I knew I was in the right place. She walked me thru all the paperwork and addressed all my concerns. Dr. Makkur has to be the best dentist I have ever met/been to. She explained everything in great detail before, during and after my procedures. She has a personality that's very inviting. I will continue to be a patient. Ivy even called later on to see how I was feeling and if I had any concerns. I highly recommend this facility for it's personalities and professionalism.

I have definitely had some pretty bad dental experiences in the past. So bad, that I avoided going to the dentist for about 4-5 years. My mom and sister highly recommended that I come see Dr. Parul, and I have to say, she GREATLY exceeded my expectations. I suffer from tooth sensitivity and absolutely dread the thought of getting a cleaning done. Dr. Parul was so patient and gentle, every time I thought I needed to mentally prep myself for the impending pain, she would acknowledge where I was experiencing sensitivity and proceed carefully. I don't write reviews very often, but I would love for anyone who has had a poor dental experience in the past, to meet someone as wonderful as Dr. Parul. She uses modern equipment and the office is very clean and COVID safe. On top of her exceptional service, the receptionist, Ivy, is so warm and welcoming (which is rare to find in a doctor's office). She treated me as though we've known each other for years and made me feel so comfortable just walking in the door for the very first time. tl;dr If you're looking for a new dentist, call Dr. Parul's office and get ready for the absolute best experience.

Dr. Makkar and her staff were lovely and made my experience fun and painless! I had a quick procedure done and did not have to wait at all. The office is in a very easy location to find and the staff and doctor are all knowledgeable, helpful, happy, and exactly what I look for in a dental office!
