Dr. Smith is a graduate of the Ohio State School of Dentistry. He completed his advanced general dentistry training at Depaul Hospital in Norfolk, Viriginia. He has served the Tidewater Virginia community for over 20 years. Dr. Smith is intensely focused on continuing education, learning the latest in dental techniques, and ensuring that he and his entire staff deliver the most advanced dental care services available. Dr. Smith is well known for being on the cutting edge of new dentistry services to include implant, cosmetic, and sleep dentistry. He delivers the most positive and pain-free dental experience available to the Tidewater community.
Dr. Duman is a native of Poquoson, Virginia and he received his B.S in Biological Sciences, summa cum laude, from Virginia Tech University. Dr. Duman then attended Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain his D.D.S graduating summa cum laude among the top of his class.
Dr. Duman has a passion for helping others. He has worked to provide oral health care to the city of Suffolk and surrounding areas prior to moving back to Hampton Roads where he along with his wife and high school sweetheart, Nicole, plan to start a family.
Dr. Duman is the youngest of three boys who all grew up in Poquoson. His hobbies include Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech sports, boating, traveling, trips to the beach, surfing, and playing basketball and with their dog Tucker. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as going on dates with his wife, Nicole who works as a pediatric nurse in Oyster Point.

STAY FAR AWAY... rude receptionist and a sham of a dentist... We've been patients here for over a decade but I think we are going elsewhere after the front office lady had the audacity to get snippy with me over the phone today. They keep billing the incorrect insurance which obviously does not get paid. Therefore, I keep getting a bill for it. I have called twice plus they have been told in person at a recent appointment. This is not the first time we have had issues with billing but it has become more common in the recent years. The woman's attitude on the phone today has been my breaking point with this office. Also, Dr. Smith is great but Dr. Duman is not. He claimed i had over 6 cavities 6 months after having seen Dr Smith (had zero that time). I let him fill the so called 6 cavities because I didn't have time to get a second opinion elsewhere. Fast forward 6 months and I am at a new dentist. I asked if I had any cavities because I had some pain on one side (which I usually get when I have a cavity) No cavities but the cavities that were filled on that side (by Dr. DUMAN) were not done properly. So I let this clown drill into 6 of my teeth for probably no reason and to top it off, they were done poorly.

Believe now that most of the reviews of the practice is just for promotion due to the lack of professionalism this office shows and very, very rude especially the office manager Tammy. They are not showing the correct reviews. This office is very racist !! Be aware!! Will post on social media as well.

I called to cancel my appointment because I mistakenly got the time mixed and I was busy the rest of the day I called the front desk to cancel she was talking over me and was getting loud being very rude blamed everything on me saying that there were two reminder text sent to me so it was on me that I got the times mixed up which I knew and didn't need to be said also I understood that there was a fee and I would have to reschedule a different date but she kept repeating it back to me in a rude way this whole situation was not handled correctly very rude receptionist will not be going back! Also manager tami was a part of this and arguing back and forth with my mom for no reason

Dr. Smith and the outstanding Oyster Point team recently placed two dental implants for me. The entire process that started with a extremely thorough consultation about the procedure and ending with two perfectly fitted implants could not have been more professional and personally rewarding. Oyster Point displays professional excellence in everything they do. I trust my entire family's dental care to them and highly recommend them for yours.

I'm am so sorry I missed my appointment. I was not feeling well yesterday and took something and fell asleep and did not wake up until 5:15. I need to reschedule and please do not charge me for missing my appointment because I well.thank you

My hygienist today was the "bomb.com" She was quick, efficient, built rapport with me, and did a new technique that no one else has ever done. Kudos to her! Forgive me for not knowing her name!

Dentist cracked a different tooth while extracting another and when I went back for my appointment I sat in the lobby after the rude receptionist crossed out my name and didn't call me and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I walked out and never went back out of my frustration and I'm still dealing with a chipped tooth

When I approached the front the receptionist was on the phone and she gestured to me to ssshhhh!! I hadn't even said anything! This is not the first time this has happened. I am a grown adult raised with manners. I KNOW not to speak while someone is on the phone. I was also told to take an antibiotic for a procedure that I may or may not be having. While paying for my procedure I asked "who was the primary on the account " I was told it didn't matter, that I would still have to pay for the bill. I was going to pay for the bill all I wanted to do was verify the account ( I have that right). My wife and I have both been dissatisfied with the front office. Some type of reply would be greatly appreciated.
