Dr. John Khourygrew up in Lake Orion, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University and then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2004.
Dr. Khoury opened the Oxford Smile Center in August 2004. The practice moved from its first location in July 2006 to its current location because it had outgrown its facilities. The office was voted as the New Business of the Year in 2004 by the Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce.
He currently maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Oakland County Dental Society and Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Khoury and his wife Laura currently reside in Lake Orion, Michigan with their two daughters Sophie and Cecilia and dog Maggie.

Been to the office before, used my insurance. The dentist got too close to a wall with a filling and two days after the tooth broke through. Due to anxiety it took a bit to schedule again to come back. They are now saying they don't use my insurance, to fix something caused by the dentist. The office staff did not check my insurance before I wasted my time and drove here. Previously I was not told I would be charged for something they pushed me to do. They also tried to over charge me for a procedure that I had done based on what was assumed would be needed but not what was actually done. Absolutley horrible experience here. I would not recommend at all

I have had my teeth cleaned at Dr khourys office twice. Both times I have been very pleased with the standard of care. They have been very complete in their exam, X-rays and prophylaxis.

I've been a patient and friend of Dr. Khoury for years and highly recommend him and his team to anyone looking for a great dentist in the Oxford area. Great customer service and explanations of everything they're doing is a highlight to "going to the dentist..."

Very friendly staff. The last time I went in, I had a new visiting hygienist named Lori, she did an amazing job. However, Dr. Khoury recognized that I had a cavity and decided to sit on it and not take action for over a year! I only learned it was a cavity when I visited my new dentist for the first visit; it had gotten pretty large. Glad I switched dentists!!!

Dr. Khoury and his staff are very easy to work with. They are all friendly and professional. The office is very well kept, extremely clean their equipment is meticulously maintained and they utilize newer technologies to make generally unfun things like teeth cleaning as pleasant as possible.

The whole team is very friendly and make you feel comfortable from your first visit! I've been going here for years and they have always provided affordable, honest, high quality dental care. They have dental equipment I haven't seen in any other office, and make a routine cleaning much more comfortable. They are also extremely thorough, and make sure they are updating all problem areas regularly. As well as annual cleanings, I received Invisalign braces with Dr. Khoury. He made the entire process comfortable, affordable, easy to understand, and I'm so happy with my results. I would recommend Dr. Khoury and his team to anybody!

Highly recommend!! The hygienists are so kind and gentle. Great with adults and children. Dr Khoury is kind and compassionate while doing great work. He's wonderful with kids.

I love coming to the Oxford Smile Center. It is always a positive experience. The staff is efficient and friendly. I love the way the office looks after the remodel - bright and cheery. I would definitely recommend dr.Khoury.

I've been a patient of Dr. Khoury's for years and have always had outstanding treatment. From the calls, texts and warm greetings upon entering the office, to the care and explanation of what the hygienist is doing, to Dr. Khoury's expert approach, this is the best dentist in the area!!

My son, like many kids, is sensitive and nervous about the dentist. It was so nice to have him report no issues with Dr. Khoury and staff. Teeth cleaning with water reduces pain and discomfort. I also appreciate the minimal scraping with a tool and gentle approach.

Awesome staff, awesome experience. Everyone is so personable and made a dreadful experience quite enjoyable! They listened to my concerns and carefully explained everything in a was that anyone would be able to understand. Dr Khoury made sure I had every question answered before the end of my appt. I can't say enough good things about everyone here!

This is my first visit to Dr.John Khoury and staff. My dentist retired and John Khoury was highly recommended. The staff was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable The office is state of the art. I saw dental tools and devices I've not experienced before and .I'm a very frequent visitor to the dentist as I've had a great deal of dental work that I want to maintain. I was sad that my previous dentist retired but extremely happy to find DrJohn Khoury and staff Thanks to all in the office for your great care.

Oxford Smile Center has been my choice for dentistry for about 15 years. On my last visit to their newly renovated office, I noticed their mission statement prominently displayed in the waiting room It spoke of treating patients as family, responding to our needs and concerns, using the latest technology and more. I commented to to Dr. Khoury and to Erin, my hygienist how good it was, especially since every piece of it was so true.
