Dr. Matthew Walla joined the Owl Orthodontics family in August 2010 and became the leader of the practice in 2019. He is originally from Indiana (go Hoosiers!) and grew up in a small town near Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Walla received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Indiana University before earning his dental degree from New York University, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class. Dr. Walla continued at NYU to complete a two-year post graduate program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. When Dr. Walla isnt at the office, hes spending time with his wife, Liz, and his son, Ethan. He enjoys listening to music, reading fiction, and snowboarding.
Dr. Shaheen Youssef joined the Owl Orthodontics team in 2021. Originally from Long Island, New York, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Studies from Fordham University in New York City. From there, Dr. Youssef pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude, and then completed a one-year post graduate certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UB. After practicing as a general dentist in New York City, he completed a three-year orthodontic program at UB, receiving a Certificate of Advanced Study and a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and UB Dental Alumni Association. Dr. Youssef enjoys marathon running, traveling the world, and exploring different cuisines.

We had the most amazing experience at Owl Orthodontics! We went to the Williamsville location each time and their staff was always friendly. Dr. Walla and his staff were patient and kind each time with my son. He looked forward to his appointments each month! We can't say enough wonderful things about this practice. I would recommend them to everyone!

The entire staff is incredible. They are ALL extremely nice, welcoming and friendly. I am going to recommend everyone I know to owl ortho! Very very impressEd with my Invisalign journey and I'm glad I got a second opinion thru owl.. should've been my first but I'm glad I'm working with them now!

I got my braces put on December 8th, 2020 and got them removed April 21st, 2022. To say the very least, I am 1000% satisfied with my new smile! All of the employees are extremely friendly, and they were so easy to talk to. Any concern I had, was addressed and taken care of, and any questions I had were answered. They were even cute enough to make me a goody bag as a congratulatory gesture for surviving wearing braces on the day of my removal! I highly recommend Owl Orthodontics for your orthodontic needs!!

Really sad to see how unprofessional people handle this place I never even got the chance to meet the orthodontics. I hope they take a look at their staff customer service and way of handling business because it was highly highly unprofessional how Ivan handled my case and me and my family and friends would never reach out to this facility again.

I tried making an appointment here and I cannot believe how my time was wasted because the staff did not want to understand my situation or treatment and did not even let me schedule a consultation. After 1 week of constantly explaining to Ivan she has my information incorrect she still did not let me schedule a consultation unbelievably unprofessional. And when I tried to tell the problem she hung up on me. I hope they hire someone who can do better customer service job than her.

All 4 of my kids have (and a couple continue to have) orthodontia treatment at Owl. We can't say enough. They are kind, gentle--and with kids and orthodontia, that's a lot. The staff have been very personable and easy to work with.

My daughter just got her braces off... everyone there was friendly. With everything going on due to Covid everything was up to code to make sure we were safe. I think the longest wait was 15 minutes and Bonnie at the front desk was always accommodating to her school schedule . Definitely recommend.

I do not know about Dr. Owl, but I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Owl and the employee whose name is Nancy used an extremely passive aggressive way to talk to me and makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. It was an horrible experience for me so I decided to go to see another Orthodontist.

Both my kids had braces at the same time. Owl was very kind and understanding and tried to schedule their appointments at the same time. Unfortunately they were at different levels so it didn't always work out. If there ever was an issue they scheduled them right away. They did not rush the process and there were no hidden costs. I highly recommend Owl Orthodontics!!!
