Dr. Matthew Walla joined the Owl Orthodontics family in August 2010 and became the leader of the practice in 2019. He is originally from Indiana (go Hoosiers!) and grew up in a small town near Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Walla received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Indiana University before earning his dental degree from New York University, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class. Dr. Walla continued at NYU to complete a two-year post graduate program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society. When Dr. Walla isnt at the office, hes spending time with his wife, Liz, and his son, Ethan. He enjoys listening to music, reading fiction, and snowboarding.
Dr. Shaheen Youssef joined the Owl Orthodontics team in 2021. Originally from Long Island, New York, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Studies from Fordham University in New York City. From there, Dr. Youssef pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude, and then completed a one-year post graduate certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UB. After practicing as a general dentist in New York City, he completed a three-year orthodontic program at UB, receiving a Certificate of Advanced Study and a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and UB Dental Alumni Association. Dr. Youssef enjoys marathon running, traveling the world, and exploring different cuisines.

My daughter had braces twice. Once when she was 8 then another set when she was 12. Business office was always rude. Her teeth are shifting. She always wore her retainer. Look elsewhere.

Almost perfect! OWL is friendly, professional and timely. My son recently had his braces removed after a short one year and eight month process.We never overly waited, we were always sincerely greeted and during the pandemic the appointments were seamless. My last star would be per parent/orthodontist consultation. I always had to ask my son so what they say? What's next? Etc. When I did ask for myself I felt it to be to brief. I would suggest a further explanation of what the achievement is other then 'He needs to wear his rubber bands'. Also, maybe 'Do you like our results' ? Before removing the braces and 'Do you agree it's time to remove service' ? Text reminders are a heaven sent especially since the locations are very conveniently interchangeable. Great job !

Owl has been awesome from day 1!! We have always had patient staff to work with. They have also always been very flexible with regard to appointments...especially the (whoops) mishaps we've had. My son broke a bracket and it was no problem for them to get him in right away. We never wait to be seen while we're in the office & I totally screwed up this last visit with the wrong date & time but they still were able to work around it and see my son anyway without turning us away when it was competely my fault. Thank Owl Ortho!!! You Rock!

My daughter has not had her braces installed yet. Her retainer to straighten her overbite first, has made a huge difference already. The Dr's willingness to work on a finance plan for us was huge. Also, we are grateful for rewarding us with a Veteran discount too. My daughter can't wait to have her braces installed soon, but is sad she has to give up her "sweets". I am extremely pleased with Dr. Wright and all of the staff. Very warm, caring, courteous and always has convenient appointments available due to the many locations. Dr. Wright and his staff always take the time to talk with me about my daughters progress. I was with another orthodontist for my older daughter who I was not satisfied with nor would I recommend them but I would highly recommend Dr. Wright.
