At Owings and Sam Dentistry, our patients are like family. This is why we strive to deliver the best treatment that dentistry has to offer. We use the latest technology, utilize high quality materials, and never cut corners because we believe in creating smiles that last.
Dr. Sam graduated from North Augusta High School in 1982. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from Clemson University. After working as a NICU nurse for several years, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She then joined her father, Dr. David Owings, in his dental practice in North Augusta.
Dr. Sam is the proud mom of Bentley and Emily, enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and attending Clemson football games. She and her family are active members of First Baptist Church in North Augusta.
Dr. Alan is a 1985 graduate of North Augusta High School. He completed his undergraduate work at Clemson University before attending The Medical College of Georgia, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He practiced dentistry for six years at McCormick Correctional Institution before joining his father and sister in the family dental practice.
Dr. Alan and his wife Laura have three children, Kacie (Jonathan) Adams, Allison (Jacob) Bass and Matthew Owings as well as two grandchildren, Ben and Blakely Adams. In his free time, Dr. Alan enjoys doing yard work, spending time with family and cheering on the Clemson Tigers. His family is part of the core group that started TrueNorth Church in 2004 and they have served there in many different capacities.
Dr. David Owings, father of Dr. Sam and Dr. Alan, was a 1973 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and practiced general dentistry in the CSRA for over 30 years. He was passionate about serving people whether in the office or in the community. He never met a stranger and everyone who knew him loved him. His legacy in providing excellent dental care continues through Owings and Sam Dentistry.

Michele is the best dental hygienist! She has been taking care of me and my husband for years! We love her! I've had a lot of past dental trauma and they have made it to where I can relax at the dentist again and take care of myself with no judgment. We love Tamela she is always going the extra mile for the best experience and keeps everything running smoothly even when I'm being extra. Dr. Alan & Dr. Rebecca have always been amazing to me and my family and we couldn't be more grateful for all of you! Thanks a million. Your fantastic service means more to me than you'll ever know.

This is by far the best dentistry in North Augusta... of course, I haven't tried them all!! But the staff is so caring and Dr. Owings and Dr. Sam are so caring and gentle. My husband started going here and he is the worst when it comes to doctors and dentists. He felt so comfortable... Wonderful place and I highly recommend!

I am so grateful for your dental office! When I called with a cracked tooth, Carolyn was amazing on the phone and made me feel less stressed and was so patient with me. She squeezed me in for an appointment earlier than I expected when a spot opened up! Dr. Sam answered all my questions and explained what was happening every step of the way. She was able to fix my tooth on the spot! I am so thankful to call it my dentist home!

I have been consistently pleased with my experiences at Owings-Sam Dentistry. The staff are all so friendly-- especially Michelle! She did a really great job when I brought my 3 year old in for his first cleaning too!
