After going to Dr. Alan Owen for 10 years I was told by two dentists that I had periodontal disease . In addition my crowns had not been put in place correctly and decay had gotten under neath them. I also had other cavities. I turned in a complaint to the Oklahoma Dental Association against Dr. Alan Owen. It took about two years to hear from them. They told me that Dr Alan Owen's response was that he had treated me conservatively because of my financial situation. This was not true. I had a good job and good dental insurance. Also he said because he had known me and my family for many years. Dr.Alan Owen and his staff do shoddy work. He failed to diagnose problems and his dental hygentist does not probe your gums. They also tried to charge me for two crowns on the same tooth. I eventually got a credit after arguing back and forth with them. I I found out that they billed my insurance company anyway. I would like to add that my dental records were handwritten and were not legible and were not all there Also my x-rays were so grainy that my new dentist could not read them
