Dr. Rani Dasgupta is a general and cosmetic dentist who graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2000. Since then, she has been in private practice in Jackson Heights, NYC, and now in Owego. She is passionate about dentistry and yoga and is committed to advancing her skills and knowledge through continuing education classes. Dr. Dasgupta is a certified Invisalign and Lumineer provider, as well as a certified yoga and meditation teacher. She is a member of the A.D.A, New York State Dental Association, The Sixth District Dental Society, and a member of Yoga Alliance.
Treating patients is a team approach between the doctor, patient, and staff. We all have to work together to come up with a solution that will provide the patient with healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime.
Hi, I am from Binghamton, N.Y. and reside in Endicott, N.Y. now. I live with my partner of 10 years, Mike and two crazy beagles, Murphy and Ruckus. Before becoming a dental hygienist, I spent 5 years working as a dental assistant and absolutely loved it! I am a graduate of SUNY Broome dental hygiene class of 2019! In my spare time, I enjoy walking the dogs, hiking, traveling, cooking, reading, binge-watching my favorite shows and hanging out with friends and family.

I found all the staff at this office to be kind and genuine, and they seemed to care about getting me on the right path without being pushy. The building is a welcoming space, too; it is not an intimidating, institutional environment. I am pleased.

Good day all. Being a couple days younger than dirt , I've been to a considerable number of dentists over the years. Owego Dental is by far, hands down , the practice you want taking care of your smile. The office emanates a calmness, it is a peaceful and serene environment. I find it to be a sanctuary away from the hectic. Therapeutic in a sense. The care and respect with which one is greeted AND treated is unsurpassed. It was my first time at this clinic and had to do an emergency dental procedure. They accomodated me right away. The staff are very nice and polite. Dr. Rani was very professional and helpful. She even called me the next day to check on how I was doing. Also, the river view is very relaxing.

Another great appointment with Dr.Dasgupta!SHe worked on a tooth that had cracked and had a root canal....not an easy tooth to deal with. She took her time ....almost two hours....doing everything she could to get it ready for the crown and to insure I didn't have trouble while the crown is being made.Thank you again for your careful and complete work!

Update: My 9/14/21 visit for a cleaning went well. Sophie the hygienist advised me on possible other treatment I can consider. Dr. Dasgupta did a thorough check-up, and also advised me on things to consider to keep my oral health strong. Overall, I am very pleased with my care at Owego Dental!
