After earning her Bachelors of Science with Honors from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, Dr. Lindsey attended New York University College of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Misael and Dr. Lindsey spent months interviewing potential candidates for their front and back office staff. It was a long process, but one they were happy to undertake because they had only one thought in mind: a positive experience for their patients, from the first phone call to the final follow-up. The doctors were looking for compassionate staffers who understand what a visit to the dentist means to people. They wanted a front desk staff that were friendly and flexible and dental hygienists and assistants who were knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of dental care. Crystal has been practicing Dental Hygiene for twenty-seven years and has been with our practice for ten. She received her Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene degree from Coastal Community College. Crystal has been married to John for twenty-five years and together they have two kids, Tyler and Madison. In her free time, Crystal and her family love going out on the boat and spending time gardening.
Natalyn has been practicing Dental Hygiene for nine years and has been with our practice for seven years. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College with degrees in Education, Arts, and Dental Hygiene. Natalyn is an avid runner and loves gardening in her spare time. Married to Kenny for eight years, their lives revolve around their daughter, staying active, and spending time outside.
Jessica joined our team in 2021 and has been practicing Dental Hygiene for sixteen years. She receivedher Dental Hygiene degree from Coastal Community College in 2005. She has been married to Tim for seventeenyears and together they have two kids, Emily and Nathan, and their Boxer, Josie. Jessica loves to spend her free time out on the water, boating with her family, along with gardening and yard work.
Veronica has been a Dental Assistant for fourteen years and has been with our practice for almost 10 years. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant. Originally born in New Jersey, she was raised in Southport, NC. When shes not bringing smiles to patients, she enjoys the quaint little town of Southport, Nascar racing & spending time with her 2 furbabies Benji & Onyx!
Lee Anna has been a dental assistant since 2004 and has been with our practice for six years. She received her Dental Assisting degree from University of Pittsburgh and loves the Steelers and the Penquins! She has been married to Matt for 20 years and they enjoy spending time outdoors, walking on the beach, and spoiling their very first grandchild, Wyatt.
Faith joined our team in 2021. Originally from northwest North Carolina, she loves spending her free time outdoors and anywhere on the water. She has two fur babies named Keke and Baby. Faith has been a Dental Assistant for one year and graduated from EDUDent College of Dental Assisting.
From treatment planning to patient care, Andrea has been working with our team for seven years. She loves traveling and exploring the country with her husband in their self renovated sprinter van. She also enjoys spending time at home with their three dogs, gardening, and raising chickens.
Joan has been at our office for seven years and is the first face you see when you walk in the door! Originally from Massachusetts, she is the proud mother of four children and eight grandchildren. Joan enjoys gardening, spending time outside, and traveling to see family.
Christy began working with us in 2019 and has been working in the dental field for eighteen years. She moved to the area with her husband, Chris, from Central Virginia. In their spare time, they love to search for sharks teeth and sea glass on Topsail Island.
Joanna joined our team in 2020, but is a local Wilmingtonian of 28 years. Her and her husband have three children and two fur-babies. She loves to spend her free time outside anywhere from running to looking for sea glass on the beach to paddleboarding and yoga, Joanna is always active and enjoys living near the water.

I had 4 implants put in and 6 porcelain crowns all in one day by Dr. Otero. I was so nervous, but here it is the next day and I am mostly pain free! Just a little soreness. I would definitely recommend Dr. Otero to anyone who wants the best dental work done. And the staff are all very friendly and caring. Thank you Dr. Otero!

I have the distinct privilege to give Dr. O and his staff outstanding compliments for the services I received. I saw Dr. O's commercials on TV at about 4:30 & 5 a.m. one morning and decided to call. I was greeted warmly by a gal that was getting ready to start college. I ended up playing the flute for her on the phone. She was blown away. I knew this was the place for me! Dr. O was kind, warm and explained things thoroughly to me. He willingly answered all my questions. When I couldn't afford the treatment plan, Dr. O took his time to call me several times on the phone. I was very impressed. I ended up with an alternate plan which was a huge success. Again, Dr. O called me to make sure I was ok. I went back several times for adjustments to a partial denture. Dr. O and his staff were outstanding throughout this entire procedure. I live some 90 miles away from his office and would highly recommend Dr. O and staff for your entire dental needs. P.S. after several of the consultation and adjustment appointments, I was able to go to the beach for the afternoon. Some much needed R & R!

My wife Bonnie sees Dr. Otero and just had a great experience with them. She had implants from another practice but they broke apart. Dr. Otero redid everything and he and Veronica did a fantastic job. Not only are the new implants stronger and lighter, but my smile is even better than before. They were very patient wanting to make sure everything fit right, and each visit was very much painless and done well. The #1 concern was making sure my wife was comfortable. Dr. Otero explained each step and what would happen next. His staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I had an emergency with my old implants on a Thursday before a long weekend, and they made room for me to have everything fixed so I would be able to enjoy life. They are very cognizant of COVID restrictions and abide with all recommendations and more. He is extremely down to earth and his #1 concern is his patients.

In one visit he fixed a 2 year problem of pain in 10 minutes. I was referred to see Dr Otero and am so thankful. Dr Otero does it all. You will not be bouncing around to different Drs for different procedures which is a big plus. He sits down with you in a private office and shows genuine care specific to you. Very personable and professional. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Otero changed my life! I was terrified of going to the dentist. I had not been for 45 years. Dr. Otero performed root canals, installed implants and caps all with absolutely no pain. Dr. Otero is truly an artist who uses the latest technology. I now look forward to going to the dentist. His practice is like a spa with the friendliest most competent technicians. I now enjoy smiling again. (And I look forward to receiving their Christmas card every year!)

I served in the Marines for over 20 years and I was treated by numerous dentists during that time. Some were good...some...not so much. Since retiring from the military, I have been treated by numerous dentists in the Wilmington area and I have always been disappointed from the results. Having to seek treatment from a dentist has been a major fear of mine since I was a very young person. All of that changed when I met Dr. Otero! When I met with him for my initial consult, he was very positive and never once talked down to me. After being told by a couple of local dentists that I was not a candidate for implant surgery due to too much bone loss, Dr. Otero proved them wrong. I walked into his office with the most horrible, painful partial denture one could imagine and walked out with implants and great looking teeth! All of the staff at Otero's practice are wonderful people and you feel like a "member of the family." During my most recent visit, the staff even dropped off my prescriptions for me at the pharmacy while I was still undergoing my procedure. Dr. Otero now treats my entire family and we could not be happier. His personal approach and genuine care for his patients sets him apart from everyone else in the business. It is obvious that he and his entire staff care about people. I only wish I could have been treated by him years ago!

First time here and everyone is so amazingly friendly. The office is like stepping into the future, very comfortable setting. Dr. Otero even made an after hours call to make sure I was doing okay after the visit. You would never think to give a dentist a 5 star rating, but this place makes going to the dentist the simplest thing.

The temporary implant looks amazing, and Dr. Otero and his hygienists were kind and compassionate during the whole process. He even called that night to follow-up. When I was experiencing pain a few weeks after the operation, he was able to quickly fit me in and address the issue. Going to the dentist is not something most consider fun, but Dr. Otero and his crew make it as painless as possible. They all seem to genuinely care about their patients. I highly recommend giving them a call!
