Our goal at Ostrand Family Dentistry is not to only make patients feel comfortable about their upcoming treatment, but also informed and educated on why that treatment may be needed. We are an insurance-friendly dental office through and through and are happy to accept plans from nearly all major dental providers. Dental insurance is a great way to get the whole family the treatments they need to keep their smile healthy for many years to come. Our dental office accepts plans from Cigna, Anthem, Lincoln Financial, United Concordia, Aetna, UHC, and many others! For patients that do not have dental insurance, we have a fantastic in-house membership plan that is sure to meet your needs.

At our dental office, we partner with some of the most experienced dental specialists in Pewaukee and the surrounding areas. Not only does this mean your treatment is more personalized, but you also wont have to search for a specialist just to get the treatment done in the first place. Instead, Dr. Ostrand and her team become your concierges.
A Wisconsin native, Dr. Ostrand attended Marquette University for her undergraduate studies and then entered into the universitys School of Dentistry. She graduated with her dental doctorate in 1992, followed by the completion of a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in 1993. This residency helped her develop a comprehensive understanding of how each patients health conditions influenced their overall wellbeing, including the ability to eat, speak, and even heal following surgical procedures. This knowledge is extremely valuable during the decision-making process for emergency patients.
Dr. Ostrand is devoted to constantly expanding her clinical skillset so that her care approach is as thorough as possible. Over the years, shes pursued continuing education opportunities through the Wisconsin Dental Association, the Seattle Study Club, and (most recently) the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Dr. Ostrand works hard to provide all of her patients with exceptional care. However, she wouldnt be able to do it without her hardworking team by her side every step of the way. Her hygienists work to keep your smile clean, while dental office staff help you manage your finances for treatment and answer any questions you have before you begin. We encourage you to get to know them better as they are always happy to speak with you!
Lisas career in the dental field spans over 20 years. She wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle of oral surgery and joined Dr. Ostrands team in August of 2019. She has advanced training in BOTOX/dermal fillers, HIPAA, and OSHA. Today, she is an excellent dental benefits detective, helping patients navigate their insurances with ease. If you have questions, she is determined to get you the answers in record time! She loves being able to make people smile through her role at the dental office.
Originally from Waukesha, Lisa is married to her high school sweetheart and has two grown sons, as well as four grandchildren. Her hobbies include hiking, fishing, bird watching, traveling, and (of course) spending lots of quality time with the grandkids. Shes a true animal lover too and always full of laughter!
Marys career in the dental field covers well over 35 years. She studied at Marquette University and has additional training in local anesthesia and CPR. Today, what she enjoys most about her role at Dr. Ostrands dental office is getting to work with such a wonderful variety of patients and improving their oral health. Her can do attitude is always appreciated by visitors!
Mary hails from Milwaukee originally. At home, she lives with her husband Kevin, her Sheltie Piper, and her parrot Carmen. When she isnt busy at the dental office, you can usually find her working out, riding her bicycle, walking her dog, and gardening. She also loves going to the library to read, decorating her home for all of the different holidays, and filling her deck with beautiful flowers in the springtime.
A Milwaukee native, Susan studied at Waukesha County Technical College. She also has received advanced training in laser dentistry. Today, her career in the field covers well over 15 years! What she enjoys most about her position is the patients. It's such a joy for them to share their personal lives, travels, experiences, and careers with her as she cleans their teeth. She does her best to encourage them to take good care of their teeth and overall health.
Susan and her husband Jeff have been married for over 35 years. They have two grown children named Kaila and Tom. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and playing with her two Golden Retrievers. She also loves to travel! In fact, her patients often give her great tips on places to dine, visit, or stay at on her vacations. They haven't steered her wrong yet.

Dr. Ostrand is a gem! She genuinely cares for her patients and spends time with each of them to develop a personal relationship so she can accurately develop a treatment plan that works for them. She values patients over production and in dentistry field, that's rare! Everyone in the office is super sweet and knowledgeable!

I am not sure what's going on with this place. I had appointments at 11 am and they called me 2 days before my appointment and asked if I would like to come in at 8 am. I show wait for 30 minutes and they came out and told me hygienist wasn't showing up. So made another appointment and took time off work again, again they called me day before and asked if I could change my time. This time for an hour later. Again I show up. Sit there for 20 minutes and no one even was at the front. And no hygienist again came out to even let me know if they were running late. So I left. Very bad service. I'm sure if I was show I would still get charged. How does that work when they don't show up?

Dr. Ostrand and her staff were absolutely great. Dr. Ostrand provided great alternative suggestions for me as I prefer to use natural or clean products. I have a lot of sensitivity in my mouth and Mary (wonderful dental hygienist) was very careful and thoughtful in how she proceeded with the teeth cleaning. Everyone was friendly and kind!

Dr. Ostrand and her staff were absolutely great. Dr. Ostrand provided great alternative suggestions for me as I prefer to use natural or clean products. I know we all have our favorite dentists for various reasons, and the ones here in Sussex are also good. But, I want to personally give a shout out to Ostrand Family Dentistry in Pewaukee. Dr. Gina Ostrand continues to work through the pandemic with top notch cleanliness as she always has and then some. I have been with her since she opened her own practice (she used to practice in Sussex) over 10 years ago and she is smart, professional, thorough, compassionate and gentle. My kids love her too. If you are in need of a dentist or considering a change, i highly recommend her.

I called to schedule an emergency appointment for a cracked tooth which is causing me pain and the receptionist offered me an appointment a month out. When I said "this is for an emergency, I can't wait a month" she said "oh, so you don't want to schedule an appointment then?" I'm so confused.

I have been searching for years to find a dentist I like and I finally found one at Ostrand. I always have a good experience at Ostrand. The receptionists and hygienists are awesome and so is Gina. They have modern equipment to work with and a nice decor.

I like the dentist but the person at the front desk is not a nice person. I noted a harshness on the phone while scheduling an appointment with the receptionist but thought it may have been a bad day for her. Having made the appointment and showing up to have the work done, I was told I didn't have an appointment. I rescheduled for the following day and this appointment was cancelled the day of the appointment. My wife had her cleaning appointment cancelled a week before her appointment. We decided to go to a different dentist and my wife contacted Ostrand to have our records sent to a new dentist. The receptionist told my wife they had not received the records from her previous dentist even though at a previous time the receptionist said she had received them. My wife called her previous dentist again and found out they had sent all records to Ostrand some time ago. The Ostrand receptionist lied or was too lazy to look them up or to send them. I think Gina Ostrand is a good dentist but the person at the front desk is killing her business.

I think I've been to so many stereotypical "old man" dentists that I was pleasantly surprised with a female dentist's office. Dr. Gina was more thorough when fixing my permanent retainer than any other dentist I've been to. I love the the massaging chairs and the fact that appointments are longer than other dentist offices offer and you're not rushed through a half hour cleaning because the next patient is waiting. I also appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere and was able to have my son start his dentist experiences, although brief, at age 2 while on my husband's lap. I recommend Dr. Gina to other parents that want to meet their family's dental needs all in one place!
