While in high school, he worked for his orthodontist running errands and doing lab work. After Graduating with honors from Augustana College in Rock Islaand, Illinois, Dr. Ostdick obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He then went on to receive his Master of Science degree and Certificate of Orthodontics from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. Dr Ostdick has lectured at both Northwestern University and Waukesha Area Technical College Department of Dental Hygiene.
Civically, Dr. Ostdick is a proud member of both the Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sussex-Lisbon Historical Society. He is a past trustee of the Hamilton Education Foundation and has served as a volunteer EMT with the Sussex Fire Department.
