Osborne Family Dental is a private, general dentistry practice located conveniently in North Canton, Ohio. The current office represents the continuation of a dental practice that has been in operation in North Canton since the early 1960s under the ownership of Dr. Richard Longbrake. Dr. Robert Osborne, a Hoover High School graduate, acquired the practice from Dr. Longbrake in 2005. Until 2012, the practice resided on Main Street. The current facility was acquired in 2011, and underwent extensive renovation to make it one of the finest examples of dental office design in Stark County.

Robert Osborne graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1997. During his time at Ohio State, he was awarded the Bash Memorial Scholarship, given to only two members of each graduating class during their senior year. The recipients are selected by a vote of the faculty for the students demonstrating the best clinical skills.

For one year starting in 2004, Dr. Osborne served as the inaugural dentist helping to start the new Good Samaritan Community Health Centers dental clinic. This clinic provided low cost dental care to the under served population of Alliance and its surrounding communities.

At the conclusion of this externship in 2005, Dr. Osborne acquired the practice of Dr. Richard Longbrake on South Main Street. This is the practice that has become Osborne Family Dental. Dr. Osbornes practice has experienced significant success and growth since 2005. In January of 2012, Dr. Osborne transferred his practice to a newly purchased dental office that he had extensively renovated. The new location at 901 Schneider Street represents the latest in dental office innovation and dental technology.

Dr. Osborne is a third generation dentist. His grandfather practiced general dentistry in Youngstown starting in the 1920s. His father, Dr. Harry Osborne, founded an orthodontic practice in North Canton in 1964. Dr. Harry Osbornes practice eventually became Osborne, Bernard and Eimer Orthodontics. Since his retirement in 2003, the orthodontic practice he founded has remained the premier orthodontic practice in North Canton.

Dr. Osborne is married to Amy, who serves as a dental hygienist in the practice two days a week. He and Amy have two twin boys born in 2004. Nathan and Spencer are the joys of their lives, and are frequently recognized around town for having been featured in some Osborne Family Dental advertisements. The Osbornes live in Plain Township.

Dr. Osborne is a history and science nut who spends as much time as he can reading books on those subjects. He decided long ago that golf was a waste of time, so his remaining hobbies are swimming and recreational biking with his wife and kids. A tremendous amount of his time however is dedicated to running his practice. Aside from his family, Dr. Osbornes passion is his dental practice, patients, and staff. Someday he hopes his dental office will be recognized as one of the best for patient satisfaction in the state of Ohio.

Dr. Osborne is a member in good standing with the Stark County Dental Society, The Ohio Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is also an original member of the local branch of the prestigious Seattle Study Club known as the Comprehensive Dental Excellence Forum.

La Tea graduated from dental assisting school in 2005. She has been with our practice since November of 2005. She received her sealant certification at Stark State in 2010. She is originally from Washington State and moved to the Canton area in 1998, where she now lives with her three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Rhonda has been a dental assistant since 1997. The Alliance native has five children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Rhonda adores her chicken and loves to spend time with family. She is active in her church and enjoys working in her garden in her spare time.

Ronda is a State Registered Dental Hygienist and an Expanded Function Dental Auxillary. She loves to help her patients understand the importance in striving to achieve optimal dental care as part of their overall health. Together they set goals for personal dental achievements that will bring a smile to their face.

Ronda and her husband Tim love their three adult children and their amazing spouses. They continue to bring so much joy to their lives, not to mention the blessing of a growing number of grand-kiddos! In her spare time, Ronda enjoys training (and spoiling) her two mini Labradoodles.

Chelsey graduated from Stark State Dental Hygiene school in 2015 and has been with our practice since 2018. She is a graduate of Lake High School and currently resides in Louisville, Ohio. Chelsey has been married to her high school sweetheart Logan since 2017. Together they have a son and a baby daughter. In her free time, Chelsey is the Varsity Assistant Cheerleading coach at Green High School. She loves spending time outdoors with her kids and three dogs.

Aimee has been with our practice since 2008. Before joining us, she worked as a dental assistant for four years. She will be happy to assist you with your insurance and coordinate financial arrangements in order to help you achieve your dental needs and goals.

Gretchen grew up in North Canton, graduated from Hoover High School and has a background in Healthcare Administration. After spending time in the San Francisco Bay Area, she returned to North Canton to raise her family. Gretchen enjoys spending time with her three daughters and grandchildren. When time permits, she loves walking, reading and fishing.
