There is immense gratification for our patients, myself, and our team when we complete planned treatment that everyone has been excited about. I love it when my patients take an active role in their oral health.
My passion for staying uptothemoment on care techniques means my patients can expect and receive the highest quality and most advanced treatments atmy office. Every year, I complete hours of advanced continuing dental education. I am continually reading technical journals and articals to insure being up to date on the latest techniques. I have also been a member of the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society.
I am originally from Skokie, and currently reside in Antioch with my wifeSarah, who works at our office as a dental hygienist. Weve been happily married for over three decadesand have two adult children, Alexa and Anthony.
Im a true golf nut! I grew up working at a private golf club in Skokie and I havent missed a summer on the golf course since I was 13 years old. In the winter months, I turn my attention to golf club assembly and repair.
When it comes to my community, I enjoy being involved in making this area a better place for us all. I am a member of St. Peter Parish in Antioch, where I have served on both the school board and parish finance committee. I belong to a dental mentoring organization that mentors newly graduated dentists.I have been a fundraiser for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Karen is Dr. Jims dental assistant. Shes worked with Dr. Orticelli since 2005 and feels lucky to work with a fun dental team and family. Its important to Karen to create a comfortable dental experience for our patients. She recognizes that understanding treatment is key to patients success, and seeing patients smile transformations is especially rewarding.
Beverly is our office manager and has been working with Dr. Orticelli since 1998. She is passionate about her job because it is a great place to work and her coworkers feel like family. Beverly loves being one of the first people to meet and greet our patients and welcome them to the practice. She enjoys interacting with patients, getting to know them and their families, and helping them plan and achieve their exceptional smiles.
Beverly has been married for more than 30 years to her husband, Paul. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children, loves to read, ride on her husbands Harley, and goon vacations, especially to the beach!
Chris can be found in our front office where she greets and checks in patients, submits and monitors dental claims, and coordinates our social media presence. Chris loves meeting with our patients and getting to know them. There is so much wisdom and joy to be shared! She is excited to be a part of Dr. Orticellis practice, where everyone genuinely cares about each patient and each other.
Chris and her husband have three children between them and a granddaughter whom they adore and enjoy spending time with. Chris loves listening to music at local eateries, trivia (especially Jeopardy!), and recently started learning Tai Chi.
Sarah provides our patients with preventive oral care, cleanings, dental sealants, and radiographs, as well as specialized periodontal therapy. She graduated with her hygiene certificate in 1987, and completed a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Loyola University Chicago in 1988. Sarah loves coming in to work and seeing the patients that she has established relationships with: both long-time patients and new ones. Although Sarah enjoys the satisfaction of helping her patients achieve and maintain good oral health, it is equally satisfying for her when her patients realize that dental care can be a positive and comfortable experience.
Sarah is all about her family, as they are her true enjoyment in life. She has been married to Jim for nearly 30 years and has two children, Alexa and Anthony. Although Sarah likes being an empty nester (if you dont count her Shetland sheepdog at home), time spent with her husband, kids, son-in-law, Tim, and everyones dogs, is what makes her life complete! Sarah also loves to travel and a perfect day for her would definitely include an ocean beach and a good book.
Michele is a registered dental hygienist who has worked with Team Orticelli since 1998, first as a dental assistant and now as a hygienist. Michele is passionate about counseling and motivating patients to achieve optimal oral health. Along with working among her team members, Michele enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level. Gaining the trust and confidence of her patients helps them to understand the importance of achieving optimal oral health.
Michele is married to her firefighter husband, Dave, and they have three sons who are very active in hockey, baseball, band, choir, and theater. They also have two rescue dogs, Addie and Zoey. Michele enjoys doing home-improvement projects inspired by Pinterest, along with her other hobbies that include photography, digital scrapbooking, and watching the Chicago Blackhawks.
Anna, who joined our office in 2019, provides direct patient care, tailored periodontal therapy, and preventive hygiene. She began her career in 2003 working as a dental assistant while attending school for dental hygiene. Anna enjoys working one on one with all age groups. Shes great at making everyone feel comfortable with the dental setting by providing only the best possible care and developing personal relationships.
Anna and her husband, Tony, have two children and two dogs. She enjoys family time at home, as well as all sorts of outdoor activities. Anna stays very busy with her son's baseball, being a Cub Scout den leader, and is very involved with her church.
As our hygiene assistant, Kristen provides assistance to the hygiene department, helps maintain patient flow, sets up rooms for patient care, and sterilizes instruments. She is an amazing team player and loves being a part of a practice that works so well together for the good of our patients. Since joining our office in 2021, shes really become like family!
To benefit our patients, Dr. Orticelli and our team use the most up-to-date technologies to enhance dental treatments. We use low-radiation diagnostic techniques, computer-designed restorations, and modern in-office restorative materials.
In addition, one of our main goals is to ensure our patients are comfortable and relaxed. We do not rush them through their treatments; we allow time to listen to each persons concerns and desired outcome, and we take the time to consult with them. We educate and help patients understand their oral conditions and offer choices to allow patients to choose the treatment thats right for them. We truly desire to partner with our patients and help them achieve their dental health goals.

I would just like to say that my first visit in your office was a very pleasant experience. Prior to my appointment I had a lot of issues with my employers insurance and Chris was so helpful, patient and responded with urgency to solve the issue. When I first called the lady who answered the phone (I apologize I don't remember her name) was very informative, friendly and polite. Now, moving on to the actual visit I was greeted with smiles and had Ana who was friendly, informative, personable, and truly caring of my teeth. Next, Dr. Orticelli was very friendly and polite. Overall, I just wanted to say thank you for a pleasant experience and I will be recommending people to you guys.

This is an absolutely wonderful team. I am extremely anxious walking into any appointments for myself, and everyone took the time to acknowledge that and help me calm my nerves, took their time and gave me space when I needed it. Very understanding and pleasant bedside manor. I feel bad that they have to deal with me, but they are definitely stuck with me lol Thank you to everyone at Dr. Oticellis office!

Our family have been patients of Dr. Orticelli for many years and have nothing but good things to say. Everyone is so friendly which is important because let's face it.....who loves to go to the dentist?? I've had alot of dental work done and I can say that Dr. Orticelli is a great, painless dentist. I've never had a bad experience. The hygienists are also very thorough and do a great job! I would never hesitate to refer anyone to this office as I know they would have a great experience.

Not only did I pay $200 for him to just tell me I need to get a cracked tooth pulled but he went on and charged my insurance as well after I made it CLEAR I was paying cash and to leave my insurance OUT OF THIS!!! CROOK!!! He had no compassion at all. Some patients are afraid of dentists to begin with and hearing "you need a tooth pulled" does not make it any easier. Instead of rushing a patient out when they say they're afraid how about taking a damn minute and listen to why they are afraid instead of rushing them out the door AND overcharging. $200 for an xray and your advise? Outrageous!!!

My family and I have been seeing Jim and his hygienists for around 25 years. Jim and staff are very friendly, easy-going, and attentive to our needs. The hygienists make sure they've thoroughly cleaned our teeth and checked our gums/teeth/mouth for any issues, and Jim has always given me the best treatment and is always concerned whether I have any sensitivity when he's working on my teeth.

I couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism and perfection exhibited at Dr. Orticelli's office. The women at the front desk are kind and extremely knowledgeable regarding dental benefits. Karen, Dr. Orticelli's assistant, is amazing at what she does. She has a great eye for color matching and is clearly skilled in her area of expertise. Dr. Orticelli is personable, humorous and provides exceptional dental services. He works efficiently with great attention to detail to provide a stellar smile you'll always want to show off. 12/10 would recommend to everyone. Happy patient for life.
