I attended Vanderbilt University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. My Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was awarded from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, I did my orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch, where I earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science degree.
Hi, Dr. Anthony Harwell here! Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1988. My journey with orthodontics began at a very young age, helping out in my fathers orthodontics practice as a second-grader. I ended up taking over my fathers practice after 25 years of working side by side as orthodontists. I am proud to keep my fathers kindhearted and dedicated patient care philosophy alive at Harwell & Cook Orthodontics.

Hi, Dr. Cook here! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about who I am. I grew up in the small town of Meers, OK. I was drawn to orthodontics because of the fields unique focus on helping people become their best selves and its inspiring mix of science and art. I also wanted to specialize in treating the demographic of adolescents to make a positive impact on their lives. I joined Harwell & Cook Orthodontics in 2014 because of the excellent professional chemistry he felt with Dr. Harwell and our shared desire to put patients first and help them smile out loud, blossom, and gain the confidence to show their personalities.

If I could give this 10 stars I would! I have always had HORRIBLE headaches and on and off swelling on the right side of my face. Never thinking anything of it because it always went away. About 2 years ago the pain began to get worse and I was unable to even close my mouth completely. I had seen a dentist, an orthosurgeon and an ENT who only wanted to give me muscle relaxers. My mom found Dr. Astuto and he immediately realized my jaw was jacked up and worked quickly to get me immediate pain relief with a splint and then braces. He completely changed my life! I can never thank him enough!!! He and his staff are amazing and know you by name when you walk in the door! I won't go anywhere else!

I wish I could give more than just five stars! My son is only 7 with some pretty heavy dental issues and fears of dentistry. However Leslie has taken all those fears away and is so patient and kind. Can't recommend them enough. From check in to check out they all take great care of you. Thankful we found Dr.Astuto and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Astuto is by far the most down to earth man and has excellent chair side manner working with kids and adults. I trust him and I have referred my own family to Astuto Orthodontics. I highly recommend him and his amazing staff.

Dr Astuto is treating my 11yr old daughter. She loves going to the office! He is patient, explains his treatment in a way she understands and answers all of her questions. The front office staff is excellent as well! Always friendly and courteous and provide options to get the treatment that you need. Would highly recommend Dr. Astuto and his office to anyone needing ortho treatment!
