Don't worry, you'll be eating popcorn and snacking on potato chips again in no time! However, before you can start enjoying some of the treats you love, you will need to take special care to avoid any foods that could damage your new appliances.

When you first get your braces, you may notice that your teeth and mouth feel a little tender or sore. This is perfectly normal and we promise your mouth will not be sore forever! To relieve the pain, we recommend dissolving one teaspoon of salt in eight ounces of lukewarm water. Swish and gargle this solution in your mouth for just a couple of minutes (do not swallow the saltwater).

If the pain is more severe and does not go away after rinsing, you can also try taking a pain reliever. It is also not uncommon for your lips, cheeks, and tongue to become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become used to the braces. We would be happy to give you some wax that you can put over the braces to lessen the tenderness. If you need some wax, please let us know.

If your teeth begin feeling a little loose, don't worry; this is normal! Your braces must first loosen your teeth to move them into the right position. Once your teeth have been repositioned, they will no longer be loose.

The wires and bands on your braces may come loose. If this happens, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can check and repair your appliance. If any piece of your appliance comes off, be sure to save it and bring it to the office with you.

You can temporarily fix the loose wire by using the back of a spoon or the eraser end of a pencil to carefully and gently push the wire back into place. If the loose wire is causing irritation to your lips or cheeks, put wax or a wet cotton ball over the broken wire to relieve the pain.

Damaged appliances can increase the length of your treatment process, so be sure to take care of all your appliances. Your teeth and jaw can only move into their correct positions if you consistently wear the rubber bands, headgear, retainer, or other appliances prescribed by your doctor.

Game, Set, Match we have great news for athletes! You can still play sports even while undergoing orthodontic treatment! If you do play sports, it's recommended that you wear a mouthguard to protect your teeth and your appliance. Let your doctor know if you need help finding the right mouthguard for the best protection.

In case of a sports emergency, be sure to immediately check your mouth and appliance for damage. If you notice any loose teeth or appliance damage, please contact our office right away. You can temporarily relieve the discomfort by applying wax or rinsing your mouth with warm saltwater.

I don't understand this business has been established for years. You mean to tell me with all the money that comes through the company they can't provide a mask to their patients that come in. Everyone is not going to have a mask at hand. Today was no school for the students but now I gotta wait another week for my son to be seen and now he has to miss school all because he didn't have a mask.

The women in the front of the office fresh out of high school are rude, unprofessional, & have unnecessary attitudes answering patients questions and concerns. Diane, the accountant is even worse. Not only did they cancel my treatment with agreeance to no further charges (I decided to cancel because I found a better office), but theyre still attempting to charge the card on file which had been said to be removed the same day of cancelation. Tried calling the accountant's number to speak about this charge and from two separate phones both calls went straight to voicemail. Also both doctors suggested I have a tooth removed to fix crowding (a front tooth on the bottom in-between the canines) to make a gap in which they would close, instead of another solution which was gladly found at a private practice office. I would never recommend this office to anyone, especially people who are looking for a sense of security in their smile journey. If you're unsure about what your doctor is telling you, go get a second opinion because chances are you're right. You get what you pay for here and it really shows. Edit: everything was great, payment plans were wonderful and they really do try to work with customers that cant afford it. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worse when covid hit and they tried speeding up treatment plans. 3 months into treatment & you tell me I have to have an adult tooth removed when I have no wisdom teeth? Thankful I went to another orthodontist, but to each their own.

What a waste of a morning! I took time out of work for this appointment that I had to wait 6 weeks for. Let me start out by saying that I have no problem wearing a mask if it is required. I was not told on the phone that a mask would be required and unfortunately I did not have a mask with me. Typically if masks are required they will provide one for you if you do not have one. The woman I spoke with was rude and stated that they did not have a mask for me and that I would not be seen! I was just at the dentist office 3 weeks prior and masks were not required there. I get the policy but this isn't a hospital and you are literally going to be doing an oral exam!. I definetly will not be going back to this place! Should have checked the reviews before hand as they obviously lack in their people skills!

This is hands down the best orthodontist we have ever been to. They have always been quick and efficient at all appointments. They take the time to talk to you and your child and explain whats happening and why they do certain things. We actually moved to Mississippi in October of last year and continued driving to Lehigh Acres every 6-8 weeks just so we could finish his orthodontist care with them. They helped us and worked with us there in the end because they knew we were making long drives just for the appointments. We LOVE this office and highly recommend them for all your orthodontic care!

My only complaint is the front desk receptionist cannot multi-task. It's impossible for her to answer the phone and greet the incoming patients at the desk at the same time. The ladies and Dentist in the back assumed the morning clients from 8:30-9:30 did not show because she had not signed anyone in although we all signed the clip board. Waiting area was full of people and she's steady on the phone with three (3) people in front of her. Smh

If I can rate a 0 definitely I would. The staff is the worst. Except the Dr owner of the practice. If he is the one there that day the people are working and respectful. If not forget it, will be a big mess. The appointment are far apart. You do a contract so you have to be compliant. They take your money monthly however if you are late for an appointment because definitely you work they will schedule you 6 weeks later. Not even days after. Dissatisfaction. You go there they will tell you a Disney story to sign the contract be careful. People rate 5 and don't put a comment why. Definitely is ridiculous.
