Don't worry, you'll be eating popcorn and snacking on potato chips again in no time! However, before you can start enjoying some of the treats you love, you will need to take special care to avoid any foods that could damage your new appliances.

When you first get your braces, you may notice that your teeth and mouth feel a little tender or sore. This is perfectly normal and we promise your mouth will not be sore forever! To relieve the pain, we recommend dissolving one teaspoon of salt in eight ounces of lukewarm water. Swish and gargle this solution in your mouth for just a couple of minutes (do not swallow the saltwater).

If the pain is more severe and does not go away after rinsing, you can also try taking a pain reliever. It is also not uncommon for your lips, cheeks, and tongue to become irritated for one to two weeks as they toughen and become used to the braces. We would be happy to give you some wax that you can put over the braces to lessen the tenderness. If you need some wax, please let us know.

If your teeth begin feeling a little loose, don't worry; this is normal! Your braces must first loosen your teeth to move them into the right position. Once your teeth have been repositioned, they will no longer be loose.

The wires and bands on your braces may come loose. If this happens, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can check and repair your appliance. If any piece of your appliance comes off, be sure to save it and bring it to the office with you.

You can temporarily fix the loose wire by using the back of a spoon or the eraser end of a pencil to carefully and gently push the wire back into place. If the loose wire is causing irritation to your lips or cheeks, put wax or a wet cotton ball over the broken wire to relieve the pain.

Damaged appliances can increase the length of your treatment process, so be sure to take care of all your appliances. Your teeth and jaw can only move into their correct positions if you consistently wear the rubber bands, headgear, retainer, or other appliances prescribed by your doctor.

Game, Set, Match we have great news for athletes! You can still play sports even while undergoing orthodontic treatment! If you do play sports, it's recommended that you wear a mouthguard to protect your teeth and your appliance. Let your doctor know if you need help finding the right mouthguard for the best protection.

In case of a sports emergency, be sure to immediately check your mouth and appliance for damage. If you notice any loose teeth or appliance damage, please contact our office right away. You can temporarily relieve the discomfort by applying wax or rinsing your mouth with warm saltwater.

I had my braces done here over 37 years ago. Not only I had my braces done, I had upper and lower jaw surgery. Dr. Endersall worked with my surgeon out of state to complete my braces and he worked hand-in-hand to give me an amazing SMILE! I would never dream of taking my children anywhere else. Unfortunately the quality has gone down over the years. We were unhappy with the final results of my son's smile. I bought him back in have a retainer check. I asked about the front teeth, we didn't like how they looked. The orthodontist told us they looked fine. The the retainer fits my sons teeth perfectly. I am paying for Invisalign for my son, to fix what should've been done with braces. My current orthodontist needed a scan, it would be convenient to have Orthodontics Exclusively do it for me. My new orthodontist is out of state. I am told that orthodontist do it for each other as a convenience. It's takes approximately five minutes to scan and two minutes to e-mail it. When I and my current orthodontist called the office we were we told the doctor is to busy. I wound not recommend Orthodontics Exclusively.

Update: After speaking with Lee today, she and the owner have resolved my issues. I appreciate the time and concern they showed. 2-stars is for the dental assistants and front desk staff, they have been the only highlight at this practice. At my initial consult, I addressed bruxism, space causing my lip to get stuck in my teeth, biting my cheeks and my bottom teeth touching my top teeth to the point they've started to wear. Braces were put on the following week after giving me a out-of-pocket cost of $940 to be paid over a year. Four months later, they finally sent the info to the insurance company and it was denied it as not medically necessary. Insurance requested a narrative explaining the necessity; the office would not provide it. Instead they resent the previous info. Eight months later, I got a copy of what was sent and it says the reason I came in was for spacing in my teeth with no added info. The finance manager, Diane, put a hold on my account until I agreed to a payment arrangement. The insurance company called business mgr and she said "we've already put enough time into this issue and we aren't doing anything else". The flippant, dismissive attitude over an issue caused by their office is unacceptable. Now I have to pay over $2300 or I can't have my braces removed. The front desk staff told me to contact the operations manager, Lee, who never returned my call. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income, I wouldn't have allowed the braces to be put on if I knew they would refuse to do what was necessary for insurance or at least file in a timely manner. They've done a similar disservice to another military member and for those reasons, I can't recommend this clinic. This review is specifically related to the Cape Coral, FL location.

(Translated by Google) My reason for giving the place one star is that if for some reason a brace comes off the Child you have to wait 20 or more days for them to fix it, you call and the appointments are very far from each other and expensive that they charge the treatment, my daughter is 12 years old of all her teeth there was one that seems not to be grasped well from the beginning and every so often it comes off, it took almost a month for her next appointment to arrive, on top of that I needed to have it moved in the afternoon and it was impossible, because then I have to wait another month to be able to fix it, I regret having done my daughter's treatment in that place (Original) Mi razon de darle una estrella al lugar es que si por alguna razon se le despega un brace al Nino tienes que esperar 20 o mas dias para que ellos lo arreglen, llamas y las citas son muy lejos de una a la otra y caro que cobran el tratamiento, mi hija tiene 12 anos de todos sus dientes hubo uno que parece no agarro bien desde el inicio y a cada rato se despega, llevo casi un mes para que llegue su proxima cita, encima necesitaba que me la movieran a la tarde y fue imposible, pues entonces me toca esperar otro mes para poder arreglarlo, me arrepiento de haber hecho el tratamiento de mi hija en ese sitio

My step mom is going here for a treatment fee of $3000. When I went for a consultation today they quoted me 5300.00 which was coincidentally what my remaining treatment fee from a different office. They quoted me this price because I just moved here from Washington state and accidentally sent them over a statement on how much I was paying there which showed the 5300. They thought they could scam me and squeeze me out of more money. They clearly don't care about great treatment and honesty. They just care about squeezing desperate people out of money. Mind you I'm a transfer she was a new patient. So apparently it's 2000.00 cheaper to start with them then be 4 months into treatment. How unprofessional what a joke

I got my braces done here, and they were fantastic every visit. The staff is very kind and friendly, everything is always spotless, and they are taking a lot of precautions for Covid-19 safety. I always recommend this office.

The Cape office doesn't have convenient hours for working parents anymore. They are closed Wed and Friday. During the summer the last appt is 3:45. Parents have to work and changing the hours after treatment has already started is very inconvenient. They still require masks and parents have to wait in the car. Ridiculous

I can't speak for the rest of the orthodontists in this place, but I will say I did not have a good experience with the one who saw me. From my experience with her, it seems that this place is only concerned with MAJOR issues (like an obvious overbite/underbite, and obvious misalignment of teeth). My concerns were not validated, and she downright said that having issues with your teeth does not affect your jaw (i.e. having jaw pain and misaligned teeth apparently are not related to each other) and therefore said the only thing she could do for me was refer me to a jaw specialist. In my experience, and from the previous orthodontic work I've have done, your bite DOES have an effect on your jaw health, and they are not independent of each other. Every single time I tried to explain my case, her response was exasperated, irritated, and at times, downright rude. The only thing I have to thank this ortho for was her referral to another orthodontist who WAS able to help me out, validated my concerns, and did see that my bite (the way in which my molars fit together) was not perfectly aligned, which could explain my jaw pain. He checked the sound of the bite, and MATICULOUSLY reviewed the entirety of my teeth, and designed a treatment plan that will address the concerns. This is the first time I've ever written a bad review on a place (more so on an orthodontist, not the place itself) and while it's uncomfortable doing so, I felt it necessary because her demeanor belittled me, and I hope no one else experiences that.

If you are transferring from a different orthodontist from another city or state, don't come here. They waste your time and give you the run around if they see your child does not have normal easy to treat teeth. They only will consider a patient if you have small issues such as overbite, etc. Don't waste your time.. There are other places who aren't afraid of problems with roots or teeth.
